“We organized a 30+ people private luncheon party at Baan Yaai with guests of various dietary restrictions. The owners: Kong and Leah, and our contact person Maitai were very helpful and personable. They were essential parts of the party prep team, taking time to know us, the occasion and accommodating to various needs with fast turnaround. Our whole group had such a smooth experience thanks to the Baan Yaai team! Thanks for taking care of us with your kindness and dedication🌹 services are only amazing because great people are running it- and this is the place ☺️“

“Excellent food, always delicious. The only downside is that we had the latest lunch reservation (1:30) that they offer. The food took about 20 minutes to come out and were asked to leave at 2:30 so they could close for the afternoon. Luckily we were basically done, otherwise we would have been rushed out of the restaurant without finishing our food. Would still return because the food is that amazing.“

“So incredibly pleased with our experience at this restaurant. From the service to the food everything was perfect.
We came in when they were only doing take out, which we said we were more than okay to do, but they insisted to set up a table for us.
We got the Thai iced tea, salad rolls, pot stickers, pho, and egg noodle dish. Each was so incredible, and some of the best of the dishes Ive tried. Portion sizes were massive, a great price for what you get.
Our drinks were refilled as soon as they were close to empty, and we were given any sauce we could’ve needed, the service was so quick.
The staff was so friendly would highly recommend, a hidden gem:)“

“Love this place! Their green curry is one of my comfort foods in town.
Took my boyfriend and best friend there and everyone loved the atmosphere.
The service is very attentive. The restaurant is always full but getting a table walk in is possible.“

“Perfect in every way. I order the spicy fried rice and added chicken and shrimp. My friend ordered pad phed beef and mixed them together. Amazing. Satay was awesome! The egg rolls were delicious. Goong grab borg was amazing as well. Portions were more than enough to share between us. Everyone was so sweet and I was so happy that we found this gem. Although I don’t live in the neighborhood, it will be our new go to when I visit! <3“

“Such a cute place. Literally Thai Smile serves you up with a smile.
I ordered for pick up so i didnt get to sit inside but it seemed nicely decorated and clean when i came in.
When i called to order the woman who answered on the phone was so sweet and gave great recommendations because we werent 100% set on what we wanted.
We wanted to try the pumpkin curry and i asked which meat. She suggested the chicken. AMAZING. GET IT! This was our favorite dish we had.
We also had a list if a few other things we were baving teouble deciding between. She guided us the the Eggplant dish. I normally get it with beef bt she said the shrimp was even better. She was absolutely right! And it paired wonderfully with the pumpkin curry
We also had the mango sticky rice and the papaya salad which were large serving sizes and good but weren't the stars of the show.
We would definitely go here again and try some other things.“

“ThaINery – International Food Court is located on the corner of Bush and Kearny streets and in the heart of FD which is an affordable, authentic Thai and tasty place “lo major de mejores” and the only survivor of this once always packed popular lunch joint [*Lee’s Kitchen, French-Vietnamese Pho, Pao Jao Dumpling & Ramen, Pushkin, Taqueria Estrella and Bibim Soul Bunsik Korean Street Food are all gone together with very short-lived “Katsuya” and “Yucatown.”]
My all-year round favorite dish at the ThaiNery is tasty eggplant tofu over rice $15 (used to be $10) which imhv is a delicious, affordable and “safe bet” ingredients wise. The owners are a middle-aged sliding young couple originally from Thailand and several cooks currently and in the past are Yucatecos who have appreciated how to cook authentic Thai through “combat experience” with an attitude to learn, improve and master. 🫡
Support our backbone mom-and-pop shops as we ordinary citizens can make a difference and leave big shot businesses to the wealthy elite & politicians😉 such as the food court which is a silhouette in of The City’s economy in “reality check” (*not wishful thinking of so-called “rebound”). [Sabes que? “Tanto tienes tanto vales.” The Mid-market is literally dying{Emporium/San Francisco Centre is dead. Period.} so is South Market while Chinatown, Union Square/Downtown, North Beach and many other neighborhood commercial strips such as Richmond (Balboa, Clement, Geary) Mission (16th to 30th), Castro, Haight-Ashbury, Sunset (Irving, Judah {9th & 43rd}, Noriega, Taraval), Bernal/Excelsior (Cortland, Persia, Geneva), Noe Valley, Glen Park, Ocean, Parkside, San Bruno, Paul, West Portal, etc. are merely struggling except Japantown and Stonestown are arguably just returning to normal.] ⚠️Under the circumstances, fasten up your seatbelt & save your💰for rainy day! 👍“

“We had dinner on Saturday night, restaurant was not crowded however we understand that the staff was dealing with take out orders. Service was very slow for our order which seemed pretty straightforward: a soup and padthai. Other guests were served more quickly; people at the next table ordered just before we did, got their food, ate and left beforewe got our food?!? On another note, we were not able to dine on the terrasse since it was a bit chilly and there is only one heater that is broken. Buying more heaters should be made a priority. This said, the food was delicious and tasted very fresh. We all loved it. So highly recommend for the food and maybe ordering as take out, only!“

“I ordered 30 lunch boxes for a training I had at work. Very pleased with the food - everything was very tasty and it was still warm when it arrived. I overheard a coworker say that it was a really nice change from the usual boring sandwiches. Would order from them again.“

“I was in from out of town and craving thai. This was fabulous! I had the vegetable spring rolls with prawns and the massaman lamb curry. The vegetable rolls (spring) were fresh and delicious with a warm peanut sauce and the curry flavor was rich. I ordered my food to go, and the curry didn't come with rice, which I wasn't used to. But no matter. It was all delicious and I highly recomend.“

“The red curry was Amazing! I got the curry with vegetables and tofu. It had just enough spice to enhance the flavors instead of overpowering them- not too spicy and very delicious. My friend and I both loved our dishes. I’m curious about the other dishes but I’d honestly go back to get the exact same one again because it was so good. I’ve thought of it several times since I’ve eaten there, which means it was quite literally a memorable experience! I’m definitely coming back and recommending to more friends! There is indoor and outdoor seating- we chose to sit outside because it was a nice sunny day.“

“This is a great place to go for lunch or pick up to go food on the way home. There is a variety to choose from and some food is spicy while some is not. This works well for me and the Thai Fried Rice is a favorite with or without the chili sauce! The food seems fresh, well prepared and delicious!“

“Our dog is on a special diet, rice being a main component. Through process of elimination, we discovered she loves Thai rice, tolerates some other Asian ones, and detests all others. Why fight her? We are trying a lot of Thai places to find her fav rice.
I got the fresh rolls. 5/5! So fresh and all veggies except for a very thin rice paper wrapper part way up. I’d order these every day.
My husband ordered the duck. 5/5. So flavorful, tenderly, not fatty at all. It came with a beautiful medley of fresh steamed veggies. Perfect. He’d order it again, soon.
Our dog gave the rice a 3/5. She still has her fav. But we will be back!“

“In fact, the place is more for takeout. However, there are 3 tables outside where you can stop by and eat there.
The food is very light and tasty. They have a medium version if you think the medium version is too much food.
They also serve chicken broth as a side dish.
It was great for me because I just wanted something light and nutritious.
The girls provided great service since I didn't know all the dishes at the restaurant, so The Marina was a good option.“

“I love the pho noodle soup, ban mi sandwiches and curry chicken with rice -- solid vietnamese dishes here. Great take out and carry away options for the busy working professionals. There is also some seating in the shop at the front by the windows, and in the back as well.“

“Penang Garden's pineapple fried rice, served on half a pineapple rind skin photos on the Internet looked attractive. Sadly, I can only order it without the rind skin. The waiter explained, a large pineapple has five servings of pineapple and only two of those will be served on half of a pineapple rind skin. Ridiculous if you ask me. I ended up getting the seafood pan fried Hong Kong style noodles $20 and a satay beef $16. The noodles came out surprisingly quick. That is because the vegetables were under cooked, especially the broccoli. The scallops, shrimps and squid needed more seasoning. As for the crispy noodles, most were already soaked making them not crispy. There weren't any burnt ends on the noodles and missing good wok hei (distinctive smoky, charred, and flavorful taste.) The satay beef skewers were OK. The clientele for Penang Garden was mostly Toisan speakers and some Cantonese speakers. Surprisingly, it was 70% full and the waiters seem to know everyone there. Service was excellent. It made up for the lackluster food and sans pineapple fried rice order. I would have been pissed if I ordered it and it came out without the pineapple rind skin. As with life, we don't always get what we want.“

“Food is pretty average. Not too many options nearby, so it does fulfill Thai food cravings once in a while. Little pricey for the quantity. The sauce in the pumpkin curry was way too watery! Would skip that dish! The price is certainly for the location, not for the food. For better quality and reasonable price a little drive south or even downtown San Rafael would be a better option.“
