“DELICIOUS! We just had our dinner at Kokolo Donburi and ordered the Katsudon and the Wagyu Sukiyaki. Both dishes + miso soup are such a delight to have on an autumn day where the air is getting a little chilly. We also got to try a new dish: the shrimp shumai! I could eat a whole plate of these just by myself 😋Lastly, the fresh greens that came with the shumai were amazing which came topped with a wonderfully zesty yuzu dressing (Yuzu lovers rejoice!)
I loved the dressing so much, I had to ask for more (it’s liquid gold!) Thank you Kokolo Donburi!“

“My family and I were out of town and decided to try this place. Made reservations on yelp and we got to the restaurant we were greeted and seated right away. The restaurant was very nice and clean. We order drinks which were nice and cold. I order the kids a bento box. The kids really enjoyed the food the kids express how good the flavor was with all the food in the bento box and they're picky eaters too. My wife and I ordered sushi which we all agreed it was delicious. Overall great place to eat even if you're out of town.“

“This place is a relatively new discovery and I'm so glad we tried it. We've been twice now and both times the sushi rolls were delicious. I appreciate the good size of the specialty rolls and not as expensive as other places. It makes sushi night an option more often.

The server was great also, we enjoyed talking with her about Japan both times we've visited.“

“Wow - This place is special. We enjoyed the oysters, Caesar salad, anchovy toast, marinated mussels, halibut sashimi and Seafood chowder. Service, presentation, ambiance were all fantastic. Great sake suggestion by the server too! Rave!!“

“Best place in town for affordable sushi! I come here about once a week and usually get the sushi lunch special. It's under $20 and comes with miso soup, salad, a roll, and five pieces of nigiri sushi. I have tried other menu items and they are good too. There is better sushi in Livermore, but sushi zone has prices that are noticeably more affordable without sacrificing taste or quality.

The staff is friendly and it has a laid back atmosphere. Quick service too. There is a huge parking lot so you can easily park and walk in.“
