“This place our family’s absolute favorite restaurant. Even though it’s about a 50-minute drive from our home, we try to come at least once a month.
Everything we’ve tried has been amazing — especially the Chicken Katsu, which is our 8 and 5 year old kids’ all-time favorite, the Korean Chirashi, and honestly, every single roll on the menu.
It’s always worth the drive👍“

“Best place in town for affordable sushi! I come here about once a week and usually get the sushi lunch special. It's under $20 and comes with miso soup, salad, a roll, and five pieces of nigiri sushi. I have tried other menu items and they are good too. There is better sushi in Livermore, but sushi zone has prices that are noticeably more affordable without sacrificing taste or quality.

The staff is friendly and it has a laid back atmosphere. Quick service too. There is a huge parking lot so you can easily park and walk in.“

“Delicious and definitely fulfilled our sushi craving. I highly recommend Pocket Sushi no chopsticks required easy to eat, full of flavor, and so pretty to look at. I stopped by after work to pick up a few different types of pockets, the service was great and the food was fresh and made quickly. I waited no more then ten minutes for them to make my six item order and they brought it out to my car which was also very nice. We will for sure be back for more!“

“This place is such a hidden gem. The sushi is incredibly fresh, and you can really taste the quality in every bite. The caviar just melts in your mouth, and the rolls are perfectly balanced.

It’s got a cozy, unassuming vibe, and the service is super friendly without being overbearing. It feels like one of those spots you want to keep to yourself but also can’t wait to tell your friends about. Definitely worth checking out if you love good sushi!“

We tried a few appetizers and had bento boxes. Everything we tried was amazing! From the Sushi to the medium rare teriyaki To the tempura my favorite gyoza! I highly recommend this place and we will definitely be going back“

“This is my favorite restaurant in Pleasanton. The prices are unbeatable and the quality of the food is very high. The $14 bento is great value as well, and the portions on all of the items are pretty generous.

I've been here many times in the past, and the quality is always consistent. The service isn't perfect but it's usually pretty fast. It's also usually not very busy during dinner.“

“Their menu has so much variety. There’s something for every seafood lover. I tried their new items and everything was so flavorful. I would definitely go back. The customer service was excellent. I felt welcomed as soon as I arrived. They accommodated changes to our seating arrangements without attitude. Just a wonderful experience overall.“

“Very impressed. I'm a bit of a sushi connoisseur. I travel for work and usually find the highest rated sushi restaurant in each town I visit. While this wasn't the highest rated, it was walking distance from my hotel and convenience won out. I wasn't expecting much from a strip mall sushi restaurant, but the quality ended up being on par with some of the higher-end places I've been to. The fish was very fresh with generous portions on the nigiri. The chef and hostess were both very friendly. I didn't eat inside but the place looked very clean and decorated well. Prices were very fair, especially considering this is the bay area.

I'm only in town one more day but I will definitely try to return. Highly recommended.“
