“One of the best Valentine's Day steak dinner! We started with the marinated octopus and tomato as the appetizer, followed by a main course of an 8 oz. Filet Mignon for each of us cooked to perfection covered with fresh shaved truffles, sides of creamed spinach and truffled mashed potatoes. This restaurant located in a strip mall in Lomita is a gem of a place! Service is very attentive, cozy atmosphere. They do not have a full bar, only wine, beer, and sake. Although it is a bit pricey, they have a much better quality overall than some of the other high end steak houses. They for sure are much better than Flemings which I feel has gone down hill in my many years of eating there. This will become my favorite steak house from now on! It is conveniently located with a great menu!“

However, Camille suggested a couple of dishes for us and they did not disappoint and in fact I would’ve licked the plates if it was publicly appropriate. I loved how there were several different stands to get food from, including a dedicated bar area (I hate it when you have to order food at the bar).The food was all really fairly priced and so good! Love the concept of pouring your own beers/ drinks, there's a full cocktail bar, the food is excellent and they offer free parking.
The space is nice and airy with a good sized heated patio. Perfect place for a small or large group gathering. Very chill vibe and excellent costumer service.“

“I had a great experience here. I called once we landed to see if we would be able to check in early, and they said yes. My husband was so sick from the plane ride, so we were grateful for that. The room we were given wasn’t cleaned, but the front desk immediately found us one that was ready. I love the waiting area set up, and there was a cute large connect 4 game. I enjoyed a drink a bar, the bartender was very sweet. The floors are confusing, so be sure to ask the staff what floor your room is on. Parking was simple, it’s designated just for the hotel. You can pay hourly or do all day. There is a shuttle to the airport I think. We rented a vehicle though. You are walking distance from a pharmacy and a few restaurants. The only downside is that it is a very small place for the number of people that arrive; no dance floor, only one pool table, and hard to order a drink because of the very crowded bar. However, it is a very good spot for the Black community and for anyone, of course. Everyone was so happy to be here. I hope they don’t ever remodel or change a thing in there including the ripped up mish mash chairs, wobble tables… it’s our favorite happy little place. However, disappointed that the second time, the complimentary bruschetta appetizer was only one piece when the evening before, it was one full order of bruschetta. $14 for a two pieces of bruschetta was way too expensive as written on my receipt. Although it was comped, to know that two pieces would cost $14 is outrageous.“

And the service was great! They arrived early. And the food was hot. The owner, Norwood, presented the food with a very appetizing description of each entree. Everyone loved it! Additionally, the portions were very generous. And everyone went back for seconds. At Triedstone, we do everything with excellence. And Darrow’s definitely met the challenge. “Stopped in after dinner at Sushi Bei. The place have been upgraded a bit since the last ownership. Way less dive feeling (but the old way was great too!).We just had a couple drinks and didn’t sing. The atmosphere was great! A very fun party and people were having a great time.They have many premium liquors and several mezcals (my fave). Looks like they no longer have the private room in the back.I would go back and would recommend!“

“We had breakfast a BLU in San Pedro and the food was good but the service from Pedro and Genka was exceptional.
What wonderful people. I had the Denver omelet with potatoes, sourdough toast and fruit with coffee and OJ and my wife had two eggs with oatmeal, fruit and hot tea. A nice morning with great people and good food.

“I came to Old Town Patio for some cold brews and food.

Their pizza was good, I ordered it as-is on the menu, and I recommend if you like pepperoncini peppers.

“The food in the restaurant is wonderful. They could use more help when busy as we often can’t get more refills or drinks since the waiters have a lot of tables. We tried DoorDash three times and the food was bad. They didn’t include tortillas with fajitas, a burrito was uncooked where even the cheese was not melted on it. Go in to dine, but don’t order delivery.“

I like the decor they have set up here. Parking can be a pain since its right on Prairie but if you drive into the neighborhood you usually can find a spot. If you like brooklyn bar down hawthorne you'd like this place. Similar vibe.“
