“This place is a GEM. I feel like I’m in an indie film every time i visit this place. This place is so freaking cool. It has all the great classics for music and friendly locals and bartender/server. Very eclectic, warm and overall relaxing.

This is by far my favorite sandwich shop in Long Beach. It doesn’t get any better than this place. I’ve had breakfast, lunch and dinner here and they’re all bangers. I have brought multiple people here and they love it just as much! I just haven’t had their pizza and desserts here yet but i wouldn’t be surprised if that was good too. This place is ALL about the bread. Any sandwich you get, you’re going to be invited to the most delicious holding vessel your mouth has ever experienced. The quality of the meats are really good and the balance between them are spectacular. My favorite sandwich so far is the Track Suit. Warm, savory, cheesy, soft, crunchy deliciousness! And that pickled cherry pepper is EPIC. I want one right now! Can’t wait to come back and try more items.

Do yourself a favor and choose your own adventure here. From sitting inside or outside, it is always cool and nice ambiance; and you can always take it to go, the beach is down the street! They also have a deli shop where you can get cheap booze and cocktails in a can! I have also found new soft drinks that are now my favorite here.

Starting with the welcoming staff at the entrance. John, your hospitality is the beginning of the joyful experience. The restaurant is so elegant. We enjoyed the vaulted ceilings with wood beams. We enjoyed the large window at the kitchen area so you can see the Chefs at work. We got to sit next to the impressive wine rack display. The restaurant’s ambiance wouldn’t be complete without the soft background music. Our waiter, Issac, was a delight. He provided us with his expertise in choosing our wines, appetizers, entrees, and desserts. It was a pleasure to meet to give special thanks to the Chef, Danny Le and Su Chef, Donald. “This place is amazing. The decor, the lighting, the ambiance, it's perfect. The bartenders are great and the drinks are incredible. Do you want an actually good dirty Martini? They have one on the menu! The margaritas and (true) classic cocktails are great too. The music is top notch too with an in-house DJ on the days I've been there, but I will say it's too way too loud on the lounge side of the bar. The dance floor is small but poppin, but the lounge side is a bunch of people leaning too far forward in their chairs and attempting to scream at each other over the music. We left with sore throats just having normal conversation, lol. That's the only point to dock, please mildly adjust the sound system on the one side of the house.“

The only downside is that it is a very small place for the number of people that arrive; no dance floor, only one pool table, and hard to order a drink because of the very crowded bar. However, it is a very good spot for the Black community and for anyone, of course. Everyone was so happy to be here. This was my first time visiting, and I am confident I have found a new local to hang out at.“

“I had a great experience here. I called once we landed to see if we would be able to check in early, and they said yes. My husband was so sick from the plane ride, so we were grateful for that. The room we were given wasn’t cleaned, but the front desk immediately found us one that was ready. I love the waiting area set up, and there was a cute large connect 4 game. I enjoyed a drink a bar, the bartender was very sweet. The floors are confusing, so be sure to ask the staff what floor your room is on. Parking was simple, it’s designated just for the hotel. You can pay hourly or do all day. There is a shuttle to the airport I think. We rented a vehicle though. You are walking distance from a pharmacy and a few restaurants. I like the decor they have set up here. Parking can be a pain since its right on Prairie but if you drive into the neighborhood you usually can find a spot. If you like brooklyn bar down hawthorne you'd like this place. Similar vibe.“
