We ordered the Japanese pizza, which came burnt on the bottom, with very little cheese and unappealing arugula (even when we requested extra parmesan, they brought a minuscule portion). The warm olives were unpleasantly bitter, and the spaghetti was completely average. To make matters worse, the venue was overwhelmingly loud, and the crowded middle tables leave zero privacy, making it feel like everyone is seated together. Definitely not returning“

“The most delicious Italian food I’ve ever had. The staff were incredibly friendly and very attentive. The only downsides were the small, wobbly table (we were actually moved twice) and the fact that it was very noisy inside—though that was to be expected on a Friday night. “What a fantastic discovery. I was craving calzones and used to have a spot in Los Feliz which I would go out of my way for. After trying a few places which fell short of the mark in South Bay, I almost gave up on finding authentic Italian food locally. The search was worth it as this is now going to be one of my forever places to come on a regular basis. “We ended up at Lozio Osteria Pizzeria Bar completely by accident. My friends and I were looking for a new place to celebrate my birthday, somewhere we hadn’t been before, and this turned out to be such a great find.

Honestly, all the food was absolutely delicious. The truffle fries were especially amazing. We finished them so quickly that we had to order another round.

We had bruschetta, a charcuterie board, Caesar salad, fettuccine bolognese, and carbonara, and everything was spot on. For dessert, we ordered a pistachio cake. The portions were perfect for a group of five girls, and we left happy and full.

The cocktails were also great, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.

And the service really made the experience. Our waiter had such a great sense of humor, kept joking with us, and truly lifted the whole mood of the evening.“

“We went here for dinner on Monday evening. The place was easy to locate. Parking was underground and there were several spots available so overall got there in good spirits.

When we entered the restaurant, the server at the bar asked us to grab a few menus and seat ourselves. The restaurant was completely empty so we had a choice of tables to pick from! The inside of the restaurant was a little dark and dingy. The tables were old and overall, the inside appeared tired.

The server was at our table very quickly. We were the only client so we got his full attention! He was a very nice guy, very pleasant and friendly. We placed our drinks orders and they came out immediately. We then ordered a salad and a pizza to be split between the two of us.

The salad came out quickly and was excellent. Everything was fresh and the mozzarella cheese was very nice. The dressing was delicious as well.

Soon after, the pizza came out. The crust was absolutely amazing, almost perfect. Above all, it tasted amazing. As we were eating I tried to get the servers attention for a drink refill. That took some doing despite there not being anyone else - perhaps, it would have been easier if there were more clients and they would have been more attentive! Anyway, once I got his attention, the drink came along quickly!

Overall, we really enjoyed the meal. They have been around for 35 years and I feel that fact is reflected both in the quality of their food (very good leading to great success) and the furniture (really shows its age!!). I would certainly be coming back here anytime I want a quick meal/pizza and I recommend it strongly for anyone in the area looking to have good pizza.“

“Was in town and wanted to try this place out, when I got there they told me they were only serving a Monday service menu. I was pretty upset because I wanted to try out the pasta but still went ahead and ordered and ate. All I can say is WOW! The food was amazing with great flavor! I would definitely recommend. It was my fault for not being aware of the Monday menu but I was still blown away.“

Rather than using traditional wide ribbons, Pasta e Pasta crafts theirs with rounded noodles cooked to ideal, toothsome al dente perfection. The sauce strikes a magnificent balance—neither overly heavy and cloying nor too thin—complemented by generous, thick-cut chunks of savory bacon. 🥓

To round out the experience, every meal comes with warm, freshly served bread and a crisp house salad tossed in a delicious, tangy onion dressing that perfectly whets your appetite before the pasta arrives.

This was our second visit to Pasta e Pasta by Allegro in Torrance, and you know what that means—the food here is consistently amazing! As a spot famous for its incredible Japanese-fusion Italian pasta, it never fails to impress.

We arrived on a Wednesday evening around 6:45 PM. Even though the restaurant was already about 80% full, we were lucky enough to be seated right away without a wait.

For my dish, I chose the Allegro Special, which features a traditional Bolognese meat sauce with eggplant. I am honestly not a big fan of eggplant in general, but it was prepared so beautifully here that I completely cleaned my plate. The portion was incredibly generous, and the texture of the pasta was a perfect, textbook al dente. 🍝

My wife ordered the Nero di Seppia (Squid Ink), a flavorful tomato sauce infused with squid ink. The squid itself was exceptionally fresh, and her pasta also came out with that fantastic, authentic al dente bite. If you are a seafood lover, this dish is highly recommended! 🦑🍅

Since this was just a quick dinner for us on a weeknight, we didn't stay long enough to fully lounge and soak in the ambiance, but the restaurant definitely has a lovely vibe that accommodates both. Finally found the perfect spot! Pasta e Pasta by Allegro is a true gem on PCH. It’s an authentic Japanese-style Italian restaurant that strikes the perfect balance between both worlds.
​The pasta is served perfectly al dente, and unlike some other Wafu-style spots that can be too salty, this was seasoned beautifully—reminiscent of the pasta we’ve had in Italy. The sauces are generous (not minimal like traditional Italian), but perfectly balanced. Even the antipasti salad and bread were incredibly fresh.
​The vibe is unique; it almost feels like a Japanese ramen bar but for pasta. It’s small (about four 4-person tables, four 2-person tables, and 10 bar seats), so it fills up fast. Pro tip: Arrive right at opening or go a little late to avoid the wait. It makes for a perfect lunch spot. Hands down my new go-to!“

It’s a ghost kitchen on Hawthorne Blvd in Lawndale, so there’s no dine-in—just delivery or pickup—but ordering is very easy. They’re on all the major apps, and pickup is quick (you grab your order from a locker setup).

What stands out is the range of vegetarian and gluten-free options—it makes ordering for a mixed group much easier.

We recently ordered for a small get-together with kids and tried a mix of dishes:
• Spicy rigatoni – really good, probably the standout. Just eat it fresh—it can dry out if it sits too long.
• Pesto pasta , well-balanced, not creamy, nothing overly heavy.
• Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken – a hit with the kids, creamy and comforting.
• Mediterranean salad – fresh, well-seasoned, a nice lighter addition.
• Margherita pizza – simple and tasty, though on the smaller side. One person could easily finish it if hungry.

Portion sizes overall are okay, and everything arrived well-packed. We ordered through Uber Eats (Uber One helped a bit with savings), but pickup is just as convenient.

We’ve also tried their rigatoni vodka before—creamy and good—but this time the spicy rigatoni was the favorite at the table.

Overall—it’s just good, dependable food that works well for family meals or casual hosting.

“Food, 5 stars; ambience; 1 star; service, mixed. I asked immediately about dairy-free options. The red and brown sauce are dairy-free, so I ordered the brown. The dish came with its non-dairy sauce covered in cheese! Staff was apologetic, replaced the meal, but it took a long time. Pasta, sauce, meatball were all delicious, though! It is not really a restaurant, just one large round communal table with stools; take-out seems to be the way most people use it, but we ate on the stools. THEN, as we were leaving, staff gave us two popsicle-style desserts by way of apology--but they were fruit-dairy desserts.“

My boyfriend introduced me to this little gem a few years ago and I can honestly say any other pizza I try since doesn't come close to the amazing taste that Jack's pizza makes. We're lucky enough to live 3 minutes away from this place, so we usually pick up and bring the pie home, but it's always piping hot and perfection every time. I honestly don't go anywhere else for pizza since my first bite of Jack's pizza, and I can pretty much guarantee you won't either.
