“Came here cause it was close to the Greek Theatre and they had a special to who I went to go see (Djo) and it was sooo good. Theres a public parking right around the corner, the food was ready pretty quick, fresh seats outside, and delicious burger and curly fries. I’m coming here again if I’m ever in the area.“

“I’ve been eating here through 3 ownerships since the 1970s. I really like the new menu, the outdoor eating area and the bar. The service isn’t 5 star but it’s good as it ever was and I’m fine with it. Unfortunately Ihad a very lousy customer service incident on the phone tonight after they botched my delivery order. I ordered grilled cheese sandwich and onion rings. Postmates delivered matzoball soup and rings. Johnny’s customer service lady (didn’t offer name) and the manager refused all responsibility for the wrong item they mispacked; she told me to take it up with Postmates. OK, but meanwhile can I get my sandwich that Johnny’s failed on? “Take it up with Postmates.” When I questioned that logic from a customer service perspective she said “you’re failing to understand!” and told me “don’t get an attitude with me!” I replied “an attitude with YOU?” and she hung up on me. Come on, Johnny’s, this whole thing started with your mistake. Accept responsibility and make it right. Don’t blame delivery. Just make it right.“

“My first time in LA and Melanie Wine Bar did not disappoint! The food was delicious, the wines were phenomenal and the vibe was just right. Our flight was delayed, and the team at Melanie worked with us on our reservation. 10/10, it will now be a staple in my visits back to LA.“

“I've been wanting to come here for some time. Finally made it.

I ordered the California Classic Burger (double patty) and my wife got the Goldburger (single patty), but with their slices of bread, not a bun.. We also got curly fries.

My first bit affirmed why I made the drive here. It was a classic burger with fresh (and highly drippy) patties. The pickles, onions and lettuce were just right.

The curly fries were curly fries.. but good.

They have an outdoor patio and there was a fan, but it was still hot on the patio.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, it well satisfied my burger craving!“

“Ok burger if you like smash burgers. Good service. Meter parking is often hard to find.

The burgers taste like backyard burgers. The burgers are on the small side and have potato bread buns. Their fries aren’t that great. It’s very popular so expect a good 20 minute or so wait.

The crowd is lively and there’s great people watching. It’s a cool experience but a little on the expensive side.“

“I was in LA for four nights, went to other notable restaurants, and this was by far the best dining experience I had. You feel like you are in a friend's home. All of the dishes were delicious, fresh, vibrant and beautiful. Every detail is intentional. The dishes and platers are stunning and thoughtfully chosen. Highly recommend. If you're in LA, don't miss Chef Okay Inak and Sora.“

Off rip, I knew it was gonna be bomb because my boyfriend actually has great taste and recommended it. I mean why would I date him otherwise? But I still had to be the one to taste it to believe it. Those biscuits put them on the MAP! I had lost faith in biscuits & gravy in this city. I have been let down time and time again because it was so weak. But these gave me hope for the future 🥹 I could see this place being my breakfast new normal. What this place delivers is the the apotheosis, the quintessential, the epitome of the LA smash burger; all for a fair price. And they don’t just take you to prom and fell*te you in the car with their burgers; they consummate the matrimonial package and deliver la carte’s to die for. Please. “What a rad little restaurant! I had heard of the legend that follows their burger and the Zique cafe inspired shoestring potatoes so I wanted to come check it out for myself. I loved the ambiance by the river, just people walking with dogs and riding bikes and the river was really flowing that day. We had the roasted onion salad which was simple but delicious, I got the burger (I have a hard time not getting a burger when the next beef entree down the menu is twice the price or more) and the "matchstick potatoes." My partner got the wings and I tried one. We got a bread & butter and the butter was heavenly, but the bread (toasted baguette) was alright. I love Bub & Grandma's but I've never really been a huge fan of baguette, I'd rather have a spongy piece of sourdough. We ended with an apple cider donut which toed the line between sweet and savory. Everything was really good and I have an appreciation for any place that figures out cocktails with just a beer and wine license. I had the Daiquiri and it was great. Overall, I would definitely come back, and I'll try one of the bigger entrees if I'm feeling spendy ($60-$100+ if I remember correctly). If I had any feedback, it's just that I would add more vegetables to the menu. Service was really great and welcoming.“

“My son and I tried the popcorn, chicken and burger. We love the chicken. It was juicy not dry. The burger was like your standard burger. I will have to add my son. Did not add their secret sauce so that may have made a difference. Seems like a family ran restaurant. They are very attentive and friendly.“

“Drink menu at the bar was decent. Wish the receipt would of been shown when they charge you at the bar. Since the drinks plus tax in my head didn’t add up. So would of been nice to know if they include a service fee to their checks. It’s a great spot in the community. Food looked great. Defiantly made me want to check it out again.
