“It's rare when every plate you order is great but from the appetizer to salad to entree to cocktail to dessert --everything was delicious. The biscuits and ham were fantastic. The wedge salad had great flavor contrasts. I had the stroganoff which was fantastic, highly recommend it. My lady had the flat iron steak which was generous and had an excellent char. I had the rum drink where the surfer's go, and it was hard not to order another one!
If you're in Eagle Rock I definitely recommend dinner and drinks at Little Beast.“

“Bae and I had a music industry function in the hills behind this stretch of street. I saw this place was newish and had amazing reviews. The spot is a little hard to find which is OK but unusual for this relatively dowdy stretch of neighborhood where the raining cuisine is still, in 2024, red sauce italian(!) I love going to the Capri with friends during the holiday season but this was a wednesday night in July.

It was literally empty when we walked in and it made Bae nervous but I'd read the reviews so I reassured her. Like the name indicates it's a Vietnamese restaurant that serves food tapas style. So Bae loved it, I'm not a huge fan of tapas period, not even in the basque country or Spain, but this is still a great restaurant and deserves support! I would go back for sure if I was back here in the area, maybe before a vidiots movie.

“We celebrated a friend's birthday here and discovered a neighborhood gem! Sushi was fresh and delicious, the rolls were exceptionally good and the izakaya menu was very tasty and fun to explore with generous portions. With such a varied menu, we want to return and try more. Service was kindly and attentive and the atmosphere is very welcoming and serene. It's that rare place where any one can feel comfortable dining, solo, couples or groups. Prices are reasonable, and the happy hour is great! “Wow! One of the best hidden gems in DTLA. The food was phenomenal! The baguette alone was worth the trip. And the pasta rescued me from a deep post-election funk. And it wasn't terribly expensive either. I felt like I was on the set of Sex and the City, circa 1999, with Portishead bumping in the background. I wanted a Cosmo and a cigarette. Badly. “Truly one of the best meals of my life. The hummus is so smooth. The pickles were perfectly crisp and not too vinegary. The pitas were soft but a little crisp edge. The lemony potatoes were divine. The burrito is a good option to split between two meals, decently heavy, and good flavor especially with the green salsa or the chipotle sauce. Kinda pricey came out to $18, but if splitting it with another person or into 2 meals, not a bad option.“

“Always a good interaction when coming to Z Falafel. The cooks are such nice guys and always so helpful when I may ask about one of their many options on the menu. I always try to switch up my plate when I come here and not once have I had a disappointing meal from this location. Keep going hard!“

“Heading to Boyle Heights to hangout with friends and my hunnis and I stumbled on this bar. The tacos were really good. They were a little pricey but I like trying new spots. I had a fried shrimp taco & grill shrimp taco. My hunnis got an asada taco and a fried shrimp taco as well. They even made me a virgin margarita. We had to park on the streets which could be a hassle but we were fortunate to get a close up spot. We stopped in there on a Friday afternoon and there wasn’t many folks in there. But it had a cool vibe. We will visit again!“

“We’ve been going here for years, since it was Yellow House. Great food, we love the carbonara and penne pasta, as well as all the sides like the tteokbokki, fries, noodles, rice and things.

We have noticed that the food has noticeably decreased in quality the past few years, while also increasing in price beyond the price of inflation in that time.

So it’s a 3/5 in 2025, but a 4/5 to 5/5 in previous years.

On Sundays there is free street parking nearby. The valet in 2025 is now $5, which is not worth it for the area“

“No vegan food options. Very few food options in general. They don’t have a hostess so we had to just catch a waitress walking by us. The seating is really only designed for drinks, not for actual plates. I had a Caesar salad minus sardines and the dressing had too much horseradish. The view is 10/10“

Katsu curry rice is very good here (katsu pork was prepared perfectly and curry flavorful) as well as their gyudon (beef over rice). “Astonishing lodging to remain! They have an amazing pool, clean water, incredible food, and a cool lager. Agreeable staff and they have a decent spa. I will visit and remain longer since I like the view before the room, which straightforwardly prompts the pool. The rooms are an incredible size, and a portion of the perspectives are stunning. “I was looking for vegetarian Japanese curry along with a larger Japanese menu and found this gem! We ordered a variety of foods - starters, salads, curry, sushi, and desserts. Everything was fresh and delicious. The service was exceptional. Next time, I’d make a reservation!

“Food is great, i liked the short rib fried rice, the beans as side, the three cup chicken . Food arrived quick and the server was very kind and professional.
I was disappointed because of some kid’s nostopping screaming, i think the restaurant manager should have kindly said something to the kid’s parents because it s very annoying for the other guests.

“Service was great. Appreciate the priority to our reservation. Food came out cold, but flavor was good. The lobster roll was on a hotdog bun that wasn't toasted which also came out cold. The Chilaquiles came out cold from the egg on top to the beans on the bottom.“
