“We first found Big Al's Pizzeria on IG. All of their pizzas caught our eye because of the unique flavors that they serve. We know that often times when you see something on IG and go experience a place in person it may not be as expected. That was NOT the case with Big Al's Pizzeria. WOW!! Can't even tell you how much they exceeded our expectations when it came to the flavors and textures that they deliver. You can tell that they use High Quality, Fresh Ingredients and take pride in their creations, especially with everything being homemade!! I know a lot of people say that it takes a while to receive their pizza but we can tell you IT IS WORTH THE WAIT AND CALORIES!! The combinations on their pizzas are next level and so fun and unique! The pizza dough has the perfect fluffiness, chewy texture and flavor. The wings WOW! Definitely in our top 5 of favorites! So crispy and flavorful! OOh plus the Brisket Sandwich and the bread they use... ufffff!!! Don't forget about Dessert! Even if you fill up on pizza you better at least take a slice home with you because IT IS WORTH IT!! They are large, creamy, flavorful and just AMAZEBALLS! We got the Tiramisu and it was NEXT LEVEL! Everything is OUT OF THIS WORLD and we can't recommend them enough!”

The manager lady is elderly but puts a lot of effort in her cakes delicious 😋 I have bought three cakes so far and. Y family loves them! Will be going there soon again!”

Great food .. Reminds me of my mom's food specially the salsas. Thanks for serving Maywood for many years .”

“I started eating here many years ago when I lived down the street on the 80's. Food has always been consistent and the counter staff have always been friendly. Whenever I visit Los Angeles, I live in the Bay Area, I must stop here for some Al Pastor. A plate of Al Pastor or in a burrito, El Indio Azteca is my favorite place to eat Al Pastor anywhere on the planet.
They also have good carnita and asada tacos.”

“Not many people but the food is so good. The wonton soup is delicious. They have Boba tea too!My favorite is the cream cheese wontons. All the food is good and they are clean best of all they are sweet.

Vegetarian options: You need to ask what items don't have animal products. They make fresh dishes when you order from the board.

Parking: It's a shared parking. It's hard sometimes to find parking.

“This place is not called el Piquin Mexican Grill anymore. it’s called Taqueria La Fogata and since they have changed owners. the food has been so much better and more delicious than ever before. everything on the menu is great especially their chicken that they specialize in. every type of food from breakfast lunch and dinner. “An exceptional place. We had breakfast, a typical salvi breakfast plate,huevos rancheros, freshly made tortillas, cafe de holla, and Jamaica, all perfectly well made. Their service was when beyond asked for fries 🍟 for us son, even though it was not in the menu they made us fries.

“I work for Alma Paul when I was 1617 I believe that’s when it opened for Javier Galvin and it was a very nice man. The food was fabulous. He had this awesome black Porsche. I’m now 71. I was just wondering if this wonderful man was still around. They were from Mexico City of they were still the owner of a lot. I lived in Maywood. I will be there tomorrow visiting a very dear friend of mine. That is now 81 and still lives in Maywood where my son was born.”
