“Came here twice while on vacation. Ate at the bar one night and then outside for lunch. Great atmosphere in both areas of the restaurant. Food and service was great! Coconut shrimp was the best I've had...better then Tommy Bahamas in Hawaii...also the clam chowder is in the top 3...and we've had a lot of chowder up and down this coast!“

“Excellent visit. Early in the day, I had the Ahi Poké bowl. The fish was very fresh, tasty, and fantastic. Being right on the ocean I expected the quality of the fish to be top notch. I was not disappointed. My dish was freshly made at the time of order, rummy, the presentation was top notch, and I was immensely pleased. We returned for dinner and the experience was more of the same. My wife got the vegan ramen and I got the spicy wings. Yep, goodness to go. We ate while watching the sunset“

“The pizza is a thin Napolitan pizza-like dough but with very Californian toppings, rustic dough and refreshing pairings. There are smash burgers on the menu Wed-Thu.

The best part of the occasion, though, is a truly lovely garden where one eats on tables spread over the landscape. The surroundings create a memorable experience.“

“My wife and I celebrated our 25th anniversary at Trillium on Aug 11 and it was one of the highlights of our experience in Mendocino. The hostess that night had an amazing bouquet of flowers waiting for my wife at our table. She was incredibly thoughtful and my wife can’t stop raving about them. Next, the service was welcoming, exceptional and timely. Finally, the food was prepared perfectly. And the star of the night was the coffee! Wow. Thank you to the staff for creating a wonderful atmosphere and experience for a special milestone in our lives!“

“I enjoyed every meal of our dinners at Ravens. The food is creative, delicious, and attractively presented. Most nights my daughter and I each got a small plate, followed by a large plate. One night we even indulged in dessert. The food is rich in vegetables and many other healthy ingredients, and is low oil and not fried. Our favorite small plate was the kale stack, and favorite large plate was the sea palm. As we roamed nearby parks, we were quite attuned to all the sea palms growing on rocks near shore. Ravens sources their sea palm locally, so we might have been looking at someone's future dinner. The portions are generous, and every night we took enough food back to our room for lunch the next day.“

“Ordered the combo deep dish pizza. Fabulous 👌. Fresh ingredients the owner made the pizza in front of me as we chatted. Chopped mushrooms made with love as they say. All the toppings were perfect. A large feeds 3 people easily. I didn't ask the owner her name unfortunately but I wanted to tell her the pizza was fantastic and im from Rhode island. “KUDOS to the staff of La Playa!!! Not only was the food DELICIOUS but the staff so very friendly. We had a large group of 40 with most being youth. The staff were so patient with our group and bottom line were just amazing. I have experienced our group with larger restaurants and La Playa blew them out of the water - the food and service top notch! When my family come to the area La Playa will be a stop for sure, and should we bring our youth group back this will for sure be on the agenda! “Flawless and fresh Thai food prepared with care. Portions were large, but cooked with love and quality was not sacrificed. The pad Thai was piled mountain high with semi transparent glassy noodles with a bright and nutty peanut sauce and a unique mix of whole / chopped peanuts. The Thom Kai Gah soup was easily the best I’ve ever had ny a longshot. Absolutely perfect!!!

One woman operation when we went in with Whitney Houston on the aux with a super simple no frills menu. Will be going back in the next 24 hours. What more could you ask for. Highly recommended.“

“We had lunch and ordered the combination sushi and combination sashimi. Our service was wonderful. The miso soup was delicious, just like my mom used to make. The sashimi and sushi were very fresh and beautifully presented. I loved that that there was good variety of fish. We will definitely come back.“

“Really beautiful location! We got an amazing table right next to the glass doors giving us the best views! Hot chocolate was so so , cappuccino was great! Unfortunately the lettuce that came with the summer egg dish was not washed and had clumps of dirt on eat. I ate a couple of bits without checking and instantly fell sick within an hour 🤢 the coconut chia pudding was very nice too!
However I wished they washed their greens with care, this was quite disappointing given how wonderful our overall experience was😭“
