“Food was fantastic! Covid has hit all restaurants hard and La Stanza was new to Menlo Park opening in January 2020. The owner / chef has his Italian cuisine dialed. The cesar salad was dressed to perfection served on a chilled plate w/shavings of Parmigiano Reggiano.. Delish! My short rib ravioli special was exactly what I was hoping for. Hand made in house pasta baked to perfection. My wife had the sacchettto vegi pasta pocket stuffed w/vegis . The red sauce had tremendous flavor... and perfect to mop up with the bread. 🤪... This place is a must try!“

This cafe has some of the best food I've tasted, the burgers are a decent size and cooked with great care and same goes for the sandwiches. “The last time that I ate dinner at The Flea Street Cafe was 40 some years ago shortly after it opened. It was an exciting new and different place to eat at the time. I remembered for years having had a great experience. Flea Street is still great. Every single dish that I shared with my dining companion was fantastic. “Stopped by The Mandarin Chinese while hoping for some great Chinese food in town. The location was convenient, and the space itself is quite nice, with the added bonus of upstairs seating. Service was smooth; we came on a Friday evening, got seated right away, and dishes arrived in a steady flow.

Unfortunately, the experience was a bit mixed. The sizzling rice soup was disappointing; it came out lukewarm and didn’t sizzle at all, with a watered-down broth. Definitely underwhelming.

That said, the rest of the meal was much better. We ordered Spicy Beef Tendon, Salt and Pepper Tofu, Garlic Snow Pea Leaves, Eggplant in Spicy Sauce, and Kung Pao Chicken. Every dish was flavorful, and the Szechuan-style seasoning really stood out. The beef tendon dish, in particular, looked and tasted great.

Overall, while not everything hit the mark (and prices felt a bit high), the main dishes were strong enough to make it a solid option for Szechuan cravings; just maybe skip the soup.“

“I have to say, they have one of the best Authentic Pupusas I’ve ever tasted in my entire life. I am very picky with my food and I got to say man, they make one of the best if not the best pupusas in the entire Bay Area. They also offer quite the variety of food! “I ate here twice in the last week. The pizzas are excellent. The Ceasars salad is surprisingly good. Although, last night I decided to just have the Ceasars for dinner so I added the chicken. What a disappointment. The chicken tasted store bought, not fresh. It was sliced about 1/8 inch thick, 4 inches long 1/2 inch wide. 4 pieces, maybe 5. The salad itself was still good. Skip the chicken and order garlic bread to fill up, it was very good.

The wine selection could/should be better. It's California after all.“

“This place is a step above Chipotle, the sauces and salsas are pretty good, and their menu of pre-set flavor combinations is also pretty solid. My friend got a custom quesadilla and loved it, and I got one of the vegetarian nachos option (which was *loaded* still, so if you're veg, you'll definitely not go hungry), and we both got Jarritos to drink. They have a full bar, too, which we didn't try at all, so we will have to come back for happy hour.

Vegetarian options: Lots of protein options (bean varieties, cheese varieties), and lots of toppings to make your nachos/tacos/quesadilla loaded and delicious.“
