“My favorite spot in the Bay Area for brunch and coffee! owners are super nice, and go the extra mile to make sure you have a great experience every time you walk in to their shop. In addition to the beautiful location, prices are convenient. They also offer healthy choices such as gluten free bread, and use quality ingredients. Highly recommend and will definitely be back !“

“The muffuletta here is spicy/savory and delicious. I have no idea whether this one is an "authentic" expression of what you find in New Orleans, but it is unlike anything I know
of in SF.
Seating is tight, but with a little flexibility and a friendly attitude it worked out just fine every time I have been in.
Vegetarian options: The mushroom muffuletta is really nice. Just as delicious a punch in the mouth as the porky one :)“

“4-grain loaf was fresh, hearty, sourdough-y, and flavorful. Cinnamon roll was flaky and buttery. Both things I tried felt homemade with care. I’m definitely coming back for the other bread offerings, including the pizzas!“

“What a surprisingly sweet lunch spot. The food was fantastic and the owner was really friendly and easy to talk to. I had the daily soup and the homemade meatballs - both excellent! Lots of fun signs on the walls too. Don’t let the tvs inside deter you. The owner is more than happy to change the channels (especially for your kiddos) or the mute them.“

“The place is very good, as it has very good sandwiches and friendly service. We had the sourdough and the out, nothing to criticize. The sandwiches where finished fast and the service was quick and friendly. When you are hungry, just go to Freddie's, it's the best of the best, even though it's really inconspicuous. 10/10 would definitely recommend.
Vegetarian options: There is a selection of vegetarian sandwiches, wich are all very tasty.“

“Absolutely loved the breakfast sandwich I ordered here at Cable Car CoffeeSF! The ciabatta, eggs, bacon and condiments were just perfect.
Service was really fast and the lady at the counter was really sweet. The cable car themed kitchen was a nice touch as well.
One of the best breakfast spots I've tried in San Francisco!“

“Best food in the polk street area. Me and my Mother and Sister have been going here 5+ years. Always good, Always great. Salads and Sandwiches both.
Most of the time we want to eat out we choose this place over any of the surrounding ones. I Like the skirt steak, but I've tried most of the menu and its all good. Tater Tots are Above Average so are the Fries“

“Looks like a a tall , green , corn chip dipped into a red salsa sauce. It does not have the grace of Flatiron in NY; and hence it relies on reputation of hosting a restaurant, Cafe Zoetrope, frequented by the great film director Coppola ; it’s a building that lives on the fame of another person. It’s a side show but at least it’s not an eye sore.“

“A “Must Stop” for lunch! The best sourdough bread I’ve ever had. Wanted to go back and just order a bunch of bread to take home and spoil the family. The perfect crispy crust and then soft chew center with lots of wonderful savory sourness. I had the Ham & Pastrami. Perfect fresh ingredients. Everything you want in a deli sandwich at a reasonable price. Lots of selections so I’m heading back for future yummy bites. Excellent personal service.“

“Had the Italian and it was great - piled high with a good balance of meats and veggies. I always want to stop here after visiting the Exploratorium but they aren't open on the weekends - finally had a chance on a weekday and I will definitely be back next time I'm nearby. Their menu has quite a few options I'd like to try.“

“Out with Goosebump Charlie last night bumpin around with a couple of Singapore Slings, and he tells me of a sandwich place that kicks out the best Pastrami in the city! Well, I've had pastrami in every delicatessen in the city...that's worth going into. So, I tell him "Prove it, if you're right, I'll pay! What's the name of this place I ask..he says...you mean..The Sandwich Place, I said yes, what's the name of the sandwich place...and the dipwad says it again...The Sandwich Place on Mission Blvd. I was flashing back back to the first time I heard Abbott and Costello's who's on first...Well, we went, and the Pastrami was Amazing!5 stars all day long. ☆☆☆☆☆“

“My son and sister ordered some drinks. It is a very small place and it took about 20 minutes to get the drinks. I thought that was little long, considering we had to pay for patking.
Kid-friendliness: The staff were busy talking to a customer instead of making our drinks.“

“Great people that give there all. The place is simple looking but the food I definitely for a Viking! As a big dude I can sometimes finish a large. I’ve tried most of them and they all taste great. My go to are, roast beef and club b. Love the available sides like the chip selection and the potato salad and a verity of drinks. Definitely worth it.“

“I came here on a Friday afternoon and got the pork belly banh mi. It was so good… definitely top 10 sandwiches I’ve ever had. Pork belly was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, bread was nice, and the pickled vegetables were perfect. Owners were also really friendly and only took a couple minutes max to make the sandwich. The space is small, and seating is limited though“

“Ordered the OG#3 and crispy pork belly. Seems like the $20 sandwich is becoming a thing (looking at you flour + water).
The pork maintains its crispy skin but the portion I got was quite oversalted. The sliced cucumber does little to balance that out, there's a lack of acidity. The pork is not dry, but not juicy either.
OG#3 was more balanced, at least a bit of acidity. The mayo and maybe pate was nice too- there was richness but I say maybe pate because you don't really taste liver or umami. The cold cuts seemed fresh and were on the lighter side. There's something pickled in here thankfully. Milder sandwich than the pork belly.
Sandwiches are reasonably sized for a healthy portion, which means maybe undersized for $20. The bread is very airy and squishes down, but the outside crust does seem to require some tearing through, it doesn't bite through easily. I respect the approach to modernize and perhaps bring higher quality ingredients to the table, oddly the execution of individual components seems to be mostly fine but the actual balance of the recipes is lacking.“

“This little shop was down from our hotel. I was telling my husband it looked sketchy. We love going to out of the way places and gave it a go. We were not disappointed!
It’s so nice to ask for a sandwich and just say “no spicy” and not have to tell them what you want on it. We had the roast beef. He made it to perfection. It was like a warm hug from a long lost person. That’s how much he made sure it was just right before he took it out of the oven that toasted it.
Don’t let this one pass you by.“

“Great little spot with a nice interior, and space to eat there if you'd like. Staff is also super nice. Their tofu banh mi is great, and the portion sizes are plentiful -- I'm definitely full here, which often isn't the case at other banh mi places“

“We had an amazing lunch experience at Foodles today! The bibimbap, chicken katsu, and "Breakfast #4" were all exceptionally delicious. “Been going to Cafe 550 for a bit and as a lover of sandwiches I REALLY love this spot. The proprietor is super friendly and takes pride in his craftsmanship. I've only got the Californian since it was the first sandwich I got and loved it so much I just keep ordering it. Great value here too for a nice big and tasty sandwich! For reference other sandwich spots I like are DeliBoard, Rhea's, Turner's Kitchen and Submarine Center so if you enjoy any of those spots you'll love Cafe 550 too!“

“Pretty good place for a coffee layover. They also serve food and it smells delicious. However I usually get here after lunch so I have yet to try the food. Clean, personnel is very friendly. I prefer coming here over Starbucks or Peets. Large coffee $3.50 (Aug '24).
Parking: It's corner Jones and Turk St in SF, what can you expect? There's limited curbside parking and a parking garage nearby. YMMV depending on the hour of day.“

“The staff at this Subway are awesome. I came in at 9:30pm to order 17 six-inch subs for a student field trip, not realizing the store closed at 10pm (online it said it was open until 1am). Adrienne the girl at the counter was soooo nice to agree to make all the sandwiches, which ended up making her clock out late. She saved the day! The field trip with the kids was a hit and they loved their sandwiches. After I left I realized I accidentally left my credit card in the card reader (tired teacher). Alex F the morning guy kept my card safe for pick up after I got off work. You just don't find kind, honest, and hardworking people like Adrienne and Alex that often anymore.I believe the manager's name is Mr. Sunil. If you read this Sunil, you have two superstar employees working for you! I hope they get some recognition and promotions. They were just wonderful.I highly recommend this Subway to anyone who loves great service, kind people, and delicious food.“

“I’m no food critic I just know what I like. I have been a fan since 2021 and it’s a short and simple experience here. Highly suggest grabbing some sandwiches and heading to park if you have the time. Most of them are best when warmed because re heating them doesn’t work well.“

“I was bragging up the Pastrami sandwich I had yesterday to my pal Cy Anara while we were down at the Loopers Pavilion checking on things that used to be, and he tells me phisha... That's a good place if you want okay pastrami, but if you want great pastrami you gotta go to The Pastrami Bar! They serve the best in the city!
So, I went. The pastrami was deliciously tender and juicyer than your best friend's sister. 5 ☆☆☆☆☆“

“My first time going I got the special it was wonderful! I mean for the price this is worth it they give you more than what you pay for I mean comparing them to the rest of California a sub a bag of chips and soda would normally run $20 in San Francisco but here all that is $12 ! For the people that’s leaving bad reviews on this place I mean you can’t please everybody! But I’m firm down south and this is a decent place for low budget hungry at the moment people!“
