“Deli offerings are excellent and ample, the welcome is genuine, and they have treats of chocolate and candy in a bowl to top off meal. At long last, a deli that when asked, makes tasty gluten-free bread sandwiches (two small ones in an order) and they sell little loaves of g-f banana bread. Best ever!“

“Stopped by on a whim and I’m so glad I did—it ended up being the best decision of my week. The woman at the counter was warm and welcoming, and she helped me choose their classic muffaletta (plus a chocolate chip cookie). The sandwich was fantastic—perfectly balanced flavors and just the right proportions. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!“

“Another great, five star deli in SF. Big menu with many options to choose from. The roast beef, cheese, and jalapeno sandwich I ordered was very tasty. I usually opt for Dutch crunch but the soft roll here was very tasty as well. I’m glad to have found this deli and will definitely be back for more sandwiches.“

“Top notch sandwich shop serving original curated slab sandwiches. Great meat and veggie selection. Although it common to pick up to go orders, I would suggest staying and enjoying the retro arcades lining the wall. The owners and staff are always friendly and welcoming.“

“We found this deli by luck! We decided on the Hayes Street Veggie Sandwich and were completely star struck! The Sandwich was delicious, the store was kitschy and warm, and the owner was sweet and talkative without being overbearing. Highly recommend this San Francisco icon.“

“Update 3/8/26: was getting another tire fixed around the corner so I went and got a #13 spicy. It's the one with mortadella. Great on point sandwich. These guys rock it out.
Nov 25:
Was getting a tire fixed close by and walked in to get the mortadella sandwich. Neopalitana? Which the sandwich was on point and perfect. Also it was made quite quickly. Sat outside and the owner I would assume asked me how it was. Great place and sorry I forgot to take a picture of the sandwich :)
Give it a try you won't be dissapointed.“

“I ordered the pork belly bánh mì, and it was so good! The pork belly had great flavor, and the amount of sauce was perfect. The bun was crispy on the outside and fresh on the inside, and the combination of flavors and spice made it really enjoyable. Definitely one of the best bánh mì I’ve had“
“Probably the best sandwich spot in San Francisco. I have been coming here for about 3 years now, never has let me down. I’ve tried many sandwiches and all of them are absolutely phenomenal. The owners are all great people, service is great, don’t have one bad thing to say.
My top 3 sandwiches: philly cheesesteak, chicken caesar wrap, and the chipotle turkey.
Pro tip: make it spicy, adds chili peppers and a bit of a kick. Delicious“
“Truly incredible beef bourgignon sandwich. Beef was flavorful, juicy, tender, and contrasted nicely with the pickled toppings. The sleeper standout was the bread - perfectly toasted, delicious baguette. This sandwich was like a banh mi flavormaxxed. Love“

“If you’re a bagel lover in San Francisco, this place is an absolute must-visit! Honestly, it was one of the best bagels I’ve ever tasted – perfectly baked, with a great texture and flavor. The portions are generous, and the fillings are consistent and satisfying in every bite.
There’s a wide variety of bagel options, so whether you like it classic or more creative, you’ll find your favorite. The service was excellent- fast, super attentive, and genuinely warm. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the place is spotless, which adds to the overall experience.
You can tell there’s a strong recurring clientele, and for good reason. We had the pleasure of chatting with the owner, a wonderful and welcoming man, who made us feel like old friends. On our second visit, he even surprised us with fresh orange juice on the house – such a thoughtful gesture!
We’ll definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend you don’t hesitate either — you might just taste the best bagel of your life in this SF gem! 5/5 for sure!!!“

“Looks like a a tall , green , corn chip dipped into a red salsa sauce. It does not have the grace of Flatiron in NY; and hence it relies on reputation of hosting a restaurant, Cafe Zoetrope, frequented by the great film director Coppola ; it’s a building that lives on the fame of another person. It’s a side show but at least it’s not an eye sore.“

“How this shop doesn't have a line out the door like Michael's is beyond me. Got the Mighty Viking with everything plus pepper jack and it is one of the best sandwiches I have had. Also got the chow mein with chicken, but that is for later so I cannot comment on that just yet. That being said, the sandwiches are fantastic.“

“Fantastic deli experience near the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. The retro-style design is super stylish and inviting, and the staff were friendly.
The menu has a strong focus on pork sandwiches but also turkey and beef options. The two sandwiches we tried were absolutely delicious, generously filled with high-quality pastrami and fresh coleslaw, perfectly balanced and full of flavor.
Great selection of drinks and a fun shelf with retro sweets and chocolates. Prices are very reasonable for the quality, and the outdoor seating is a nice bonus.
Highly recommended, I will definitely be back soon.“

“Sandwiches are a happy place. B&B popped up on my IG feed a few months back and I saved the post but lost it. Fast fwd to a coworker bringing a bulgogi Bahn mi to work.
I could have tried it then but I wanted my own full experience and to show support for this creation.
You ever had a Bahn Mi as big as a deli sandwich? You ever wanted bulgogi on your Bahn Mi?
When you first enter you’re welcomed with smiles and a good vibe. I would suggest pre ordering as there has to be a line at times. You’re hit with a menu board and tons of options both sandwiches and drinks.
I chose the Bulgogi Bahn Mi, sandwhich was huge! The beef was so tender and hefty. Guaranteed to fill you up . The pickled veggies were fresh and well flavored. The bread! Soft but has a light crunch.
Washed it all down with a Mango Green Tea Bobba. Not too sweet and also tasted fresh.
Top two Banh Mi spotting the city imo!“

“Owner is very kind, loves what he does and the community. Makes a mean sandwich. The modern sandwich was popularized in 1762 by John Montagu, the 4th Earl of Sandwich, who requested meat between two slices of bread so he could eat without leaving his card game. The sandwich's name comes from him, though similar preparations existed before him, such as the Hillel Sandwich from ancient Jewish tradition. In America, the sandwich gained popularity for its portability, becoming a lunch staple for workers and students by the 1900s, especially after bakeries started selling pre-sliced bread. Nice to see someone still keeping the traditions alive.“

“New to the city and someone recommended I try this place out. Definitely worth a stop, I got a clubber and it was so good, packed with protein, and actually filled me up without bankrupting me!
Very delicious, you just walk in and order something. Fast food but tastes better! They also have a water station and a pretty nice vibe. Again worth a stop and I now head there most mornings after my run!“

“The barbecue chicken sandwich is great. Comes with cilantro, carrots, cucumber, pickled radish and chicken. All served on a soft , yet crunchy french roll. This place is not to be missed. Around 11 dollars for a good size sandwich. A deal, and a delicious lunch meal. A few stools to sit on in the windows, or take it to go.“
“I never imagined I’d describe an egg salad sandwich as decadent, but this one is that! The sandwich has three slices of pillowy side and fresh milk bread. In between are generous layers of a creamy tasty egg salad. The eggs are terrific and the mayo adds a velvety texture without feeling oily. There’s nothing extraneous. This one is better than the amazing egg salad you find in the ubiquitous Seven Eleven’s throughout Japan.“

“A “Must Stop” for lunch! The best sourdough bread I’ve ever had. Wanted to go back and just order a bunch of bread to take home and spoil the family. The perfect crispy crust and then soft chew center with lots of wonderful savory sourness. I had the Ham & Pastrami. Perfect fresh ingredients. Everything you want in a deli sandwich at a reasonable price. Lots of selections so I’m heading back for future yummy bites. Excellent personal service.“

“The staff at this Subway are awesome. I came in at 9:30pm to order 17 six-inch subs for a student field trip, not realizing the store closed at 10pm (online it said it was open until 1am). Adrienne the girl at the counter was soooo nice to agree to make all the sandwiches, which ended up making her clock out late. She saved the day! The field trip with the kids was a hit and they loved their sandwiches. After I left I realized I accidentally left my credit card in the card reader (tired teacher). Alex F the morning guy kept my card safe for pick up after I got off work. You just don't find kind, honest, and hardworking people like Adrienne and Alex that often anymore.I believe the manager's name is Mr. Sunil. If you read this Sunil, you have two superstar employees working for you! I hope they get some recognition and promotions. They were just wonderful.I highly recommend this Subway to anyone who loves great service, kind people, and delicious food.“

“This is our favorite sandwich shop in Mill Valley and frankly one of our favorite sandwich shops we’ve encountered even while living in SF for nearly 10 years. Sandwiches are a dime a dozen but the best sandwiches have the right bread, right amount of moisture vs dryness, high quality deli meat, and that certain set of ingredients that you’re not quite sure why it’s so much better than other sandwiches with the same ingredients. That is ABSOLUTELY Antone’s East Coast Sub Shop!! My husband and I go almost every weekend, it’s such a treat for us. I’m actually getting hungry for it as I write this review 😅
Also, the owners are the sweetest people ever who clearly love their shop and the community. I was running late to their shop before closing hours and they sweetly left my sandwich out front for me with my name on it bc they knew I was going to arrive after they closed up shop. I also saw a bunch of cars try to get a sandwich but were too late after hours, so clearly this is a local favorite!“
