“THe food was amazing. Our server Kevin, every guy there is Kevin, was not clear and was pushing us to get the most expensive dishes. We ended up ordering 2 half Pekín ducks which was more expensive than ordering a whole one. I felt he our server wanted us to spend more money. Aside from that the food was great.“

“The beef shortrib is amazing!! Got the extra meat, extra beg and tteokbokki and the flavors meshed so well. The mild spice level was really nice with some light heat, but still had all the flavor. The melty cheese on top was fire (literally) and obviously the soju went great with all the flavors. I did wish they gave us more banchan or refilled our dishes, but thats just because I'm a fiend for daikon kimchi. We did have to flag down the waiters a couple times to get refills on water and for drink orders, but they were crazy busy (for good reason!). The restaurant was also super loud, so expect to shout to talk to your table. Some noise dampening in the restaurant would probably be helpful. We waited an hour for our table and i 100% would wait again.“

“I’ve been coming here regularly for a few years now, and I gotta say this place is consistently great. If you’re for a high quality rotisserie chicken, at a fair price, with incredible sides, this is the place.
The restaurant is linked to rich table, so you get all the benefits of eating at more higher end restaurant in terms of quality but in a casual dining experience. The employees are all very nice as well, which adds to the whole thing.
Really can’t say anyhring bad about this place. It does what it’s supposed to do perfectly, and the food tastes exactly the same each time (which is a great compliment).
My usual is always the half chicken, chicken fat rice, and the seared broccoli. They also got southern fried chicken on weekends, bowls, and sandwiches. This place is definitely is going to remain in my rotation, keep up the great work!“

“Such a great noodle spot! Noodles are comforting and hearty. Service was wonderful. Came here with a group and we were seated and food came so quickly.
I am vegetarian and there were a number of options on the menu for me, also loved the milk tea drink menu.“

“With 3 hours to kill, we set off for the food court recommended by a pilot we asked and looked at our options. We decided to "be healthy" after a 10-day cruise and were rewarded with amazing food! The Good Catch Vegan Manhattan Seafood Chowder and Tortilla soup were both amazing and the Cabo salad was hearty enough for us to share and not feel deprived in any way. Of course, we then justified a couple of chocolate chip cookies for dessert-LOL. I now hope we have a reason to get back there again.“

“We stumbled upon this dumpling place and it exceeded our expectations. The menu is focused on small apps, lots of dumplings (boiled, pan fried, soup, XLB) options. We ordered cucumbers, crab puffs, boiled dumplings, XLB, pot stickers, beef noodle soup. Everything was fresh, well seasoned…it reminded us of my mom’s cooking. We didn’t finish some of our dumplings, brought them home and they tasted great even heated with a microwave.
The atmosphere was easy, unpretentious, family friendly, clean. Service was courteous and prompt. We loved our first visit and will definitely be back to try many more dishes.
They also sell frozen dumplings to cook at home!
Kid-friendliness: Casual environment, clean restaurant, clean restrooms. Kids can watch chefs make dumplings.“
“Fresh and great. I was a little lost and called the location and the lady on the phone was the nicest ever took her time and explained how to get there after I parked once I got there. I was very happy. She was very nice and the food was great and extremely fresh like it was just picked, and the bread is fantastic there as well. Highly recommend.“

“On a really cold day in SF, this was absolutely what I needed to have in my stomach. I was so hungry and did not really want to walk too far or Uber anywhere so I was lucky enough to stumble upon this place. Even though it’s a bit cramped and looks a little run down, it was very cozy to sit in and get away from the cold.
I ordered my soup and it was ready in less than ten minutes. I ordered a small and let me just say it looked more like a large. I can’t even imagine what the large looks like. My soup was incredibly filling and left me feeling more than satisfied. It had the perfect amount of noodles and meat. I enjoyed every spoonful of it!“

Wide selection of noodles and noodle soups. Silver (Glass) Noodle Soup (KyarSanChat) served in clean tasting chicken broth, with a hearty accompaniment of wood ear mushrooms, fried tofu and quail egg.“

I will definitely be coming back here!

“This is a nice addition to Clemente Street for spicy hot pot of various varieties. Malatang the numbing Chinese flavor was our draw in to the store, but they have many other versions of soups such as laksa and tom yum. The beef broth was a little weak, but the numbing flavor was quite strong. You pick all of your ingredients and we enjoyed all except we found we didn't like the yam noodles. The staff was really nice and helpful and the interior was modern yet with a little bit of classic Chinese art. Really looking forward to trying this place again and trying the other flavors and ingredients. We are omnivores but we would like to come back and try it with totally vegan soup and ingredients option.“

“We passed through on our way back to the airport for a quick dinner. Lily is the nicest person and she gave us plates and chopsticks and silverware. I wish we could move back but I’m glad I could grab some food from her. I can’t wait for our next visit.“

“Good dumplings. We got the spicy pork and chive dumplings. The chive was a little more than the meat in the dumplings but overall quite good. Also got the dan dan noodles, which I prefer with a little more sichuan peppers and spicier but this was quite good. The onion pancakes were crispy and less oily than other places so overall quite good.
The service was quick and efficient.“

“This is an old school mom & pop type place that has breakfast and lunch items with Formica counters and really tasty food. The family that runs it seem to be a bit older, but are very kind and attentive. You'll have an excellent experience and leave with a satisfied stomach if you eat here.
Parking: We come here on public transit. Parking is in short supply on Geary Boulevard.“

“Extremely surprised by amazing service. The food came out quickly. Vermicelli without broth was amazing. The spring rolls were a piece of art and tasted fresh, the peanut sauce was great, the manager suggested adding some spicy sauce which was great. The Pho version (or vermicelli with broth) they make was ok. We are used to more traditional versions but probably we should have picked the raw meat one to truly compare. The atmosphere was ok. Frequent visits from the delivery drivers are distracting, keeps the door constantly open and kills the vibe - a little rearrangement can solve it“

“Total hidden gem in SF. It’s low key and does take out only, but don’t let that fool you, this place rivals SF’s finest establishments. I moved in a few blocks down the street and have been ordering take out almost every day as I unpack. I’ve tried the chicken hummus plate, meatball and rice plate, and the Beyran Soup. Literally each dish was 5/5 amazing. The soup was the best soup I’ve ever had in my life. Super rich flavor, but not overly salty. Just right. Honestly these folks should turn into a full fledged restaurant.“

“Great lunch spot if you work in the financial district. It's everything you'd expect from an Asian mom and pop shop. Quick, delicious, decently priced food. Even during the lunch rush you're able to be seated and served quickly as long as you don't mind sitting with other single diners.
To those complaining about the service, it's clearly not a fine dining restaurant, so y'all should keep your expectations down and you'll be good.“

“Delicious! Love the concept, all the ingredients were fresh and there was a ton of variety, and the final cooked soup was great! And it's reasonably priced (if you don't go too crazy).
I got the green peppercorn broth with lamb, lotus, cabbage, and lots of mushrooms. Will definitely come back here to try all the other varieties.“

“It’s a restaurant that serves Mexican food. The menu has a lot of variety, featuring a wide range of traditional dishes. The food is delicious, and they also have imported beers like Victoria, Pacifico, Corona, among others, along with a good selection of tequila and other drinks. On Fridays and Saturdays, they have karaoke, which is a lot of fun and adds a lively atmosphere to the place. The service is excellent and very attentive. By the way, the mixed molcajete was absolutely delicious and highly recommended. It's definitely a great spot to enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine and a vibrant dining experience.“

“French Fries as a side are not on our menu. I politely informed this man that I could not accommodate a side order of French fries, I understand that is ridiculous to people, but no one has ever given me so much push back before. I politely informed these people that I couldn’t do that and they wouldn’t take no for an answer, I do understand their perspective. Their review was so mean and no they don’t feel any real empathy, or they would not have posted that. They insisted on getting their way and called it ridiculous and were intimidating to me, yes you bullied someone and they cried. Cashiers are people too. I promise if you visit this location so will be honest with what I can provide you and give you my best. This interaction actually stood out as the single worst interaction I’ve had with any customer in 7 months, because they were MEAN. To go out of your way to leave a one star review because you didn’t get your way is petty to say the least. I hope everyone is blessed and having a beautiful life Including Mr. Kudszus. I understand not everyone is kind and people like to make others feel bad. I love to make people happy with what I CAN do, if you are respectful to people they usually don’t cry. Take care everyone, thank you for my first negative review! Some people wake up and spread pain. I spread joy and move on to a new day.
“Stopped in with the fam (party of 6), place was empty. Tried to order 4 lobster rolls and 2 fries — nothin’ crazy. The waitress looked like a deer in headlights, started talkin’ ‘bout how she’s all alone, then bless her heart, she broke down cryin’ right there.
We felt awful for her, but y’all… that ain’t how a restaurant should run. Sure thing we left. Hands down the strangest, most uncomfortable place we ever stepped foot in.”“

“Fisherman’s Wharf Chowder and Crab Sidewalk Stands. San Francisco -CA.
We use to live in San Rafael for many years.
The beautiful California, ocean and mountains. Breathe taking views. Every Saturday we went for dinner. We love crabs. In February/2022 we visited San Francisco and were very sad and disappointed. Fishermas Wharf itself was just horrible. filth Dirty , smelly and loads of homeless, but the views of the bay are lovely....and you can see Alcatraz Island from the wharf.“

Popped in here for dinner as we weren't sure what we wanted but it had vegetarian options. The food was amazing and we are so glad we visited.
Quiet when we first got there, but soon filled up, and they had take-out orders going out too so very popular.
We had Singapore noodles with pork, beef, chicken and prawns, and a vegetarian option of vegetable chow mein. We also added little vegetable potstickers which we had never had before. All of the food was delicious. Would recommend visiting here.
Vegetarian options: There are plenty of vegetarian options on this menu.“

“Decades-long establishment serving Chinese standards in Lower Pac Heights. Specializing in Hunan and Mandarin cooking, many dishes come slightly sweet and a touch spicy.Long list of lunch specials with complimentary Egg Drop Soup. Hunan Fish, crispy fried and sautéed in savory-sweet sauce. While a bit more chili is welcome, the garlic and ginger add a nice fragrance.“

“erm….
the bowls and plates were all paper… The clay pot rice dish tasted a little funky. It wasn’t bad, but something I could make at home (a little better lol). at least it wasn’t too expensive. The basic veggie dish was great tho!“
“Remember that Seinfeld episode when Elaine wants the "big salad"? Many people eating here are too young to know what I'm talking about (especially the Marina loctions). This is that place, where the salad is the main course. Maybe back in 1997 that was $9, here it's $20 something for that you want. But the salad is main-course-sized and excellent.
Don't get the dressing on the side. Let the professionals mix it in, they're better than us.
Post covid, I can't help but feel like the portions are smaller or stingier with the protein (this location was opened after covid but the experience seems the same for other locations).
The sandwiches are very tasty but too small.
Long story short, this place has really tasty food. But it's priced for SF yups that are wearing yoga pants and high heels at the same time. Great food, but almost too trendy. Clearly their marketing works. I'll keep eating here until salad starting price eclipses $20.“

“Kimchi fried rice was very good—the rice had a really addictive texture and the kimchi lent a great tart flavor. The include champong broth was also nice.
Jajangmyun wasn’t much more than sweet sauce and noodles. Not much meat or vegetables.
Really homey place that appears to have a lot of regulars. Not a bad choice if you went to a nearby Kaiser and need lunch nearby.“

“We saw so many korean restaurants and were unsure which to pick. We figured the high prices of others would make them better but we were looking for something that was more reasonable in price and found Jin Mi. We were SO glad we did. The food was phenomenal!! We got a bimbimbap bowl, Ramen, and tofu soup and all of it was just delicious. The service was fast, the employee was so friendly. The best place we ate at in SF this trip! Thanks so much.“

“Those who complain on the thread about spicy food perplex me—why did they go to a Sichuan restaurant? I have a lower craving/tolerance for spice than a typical Chinese person with Sichuan roots—I like the flavor but don't seek the heat necessarily. To me, the food at Z&Y was the appropriate level of spicy and flavorful. Actually, there's a variety of regional specialties, and our party just ordered what we felt like without regard to trying to get a typical Sichuan meal. I had meant to book a table at Z&Y Peking Duck across the street, but I didn't mind the mistake! I don't live in SF, and am willing to shell it out for a Michelin fine dining experience. I found Z&Y was relatively expensive and in slightly more modest proportion to what one might expect for a typical Chinatown restaurant, but worth it due to the extremely high quality and authentic food. Decor and service style are also typical Chinatown vibe. We had to get egg rolls for the youngest adult with us, and they were crisp and tasty. Tan tan noodles had spice and subtle flavor at the same time. We ordered Peking duck and I wondered if we got the tea smoked duck, but we didn't even complain because there was a LOT of duck and the smoky flavor was unique and delicious—and there were enough thin pancakes, sauce, cucumber, and spring onions. Pea shoots and cumin beef were very tasty. We added on Dong Po Ro (Pork Shoulder) as our last dish came to the table because we needed more food. It came to the table quickly and was melt in your mouth tender. Yes, it is very fatty, but that's the point of this cut—if you don't like fat, don't get Dong Po Ro! Lots of happy accidents with this meal, wouldn't change a thing.“

“This place is expensive, 10.00 for a 4 inch sandwich, but it's totally worth it! I got the BBQ brisket sandwich and YUM! The only downer is that the guy at the counter is hard to understand, which happens, but the look of disappointment he gave to anyone who didn't tip was not cool. I never tip the first time I go there. After the first time, if it's eat in, I tip, but carryout is a no.“
