“The best and only one Thai style BBQ place in SF. Feel like you are eating in Thailand, only the meat here is better quality and well marinated. Service is friendly and very helpful.“

“Lovely dinner at Prik Hom. Scallop & lemongrass appetizer & dessert (coconut pancakes & coconut ice cream) were by far my favorites. Mushroom curry soup was light and subtle. Seafood curry was rich & tasty, but did not love the texture of the stir fried shrimp. They were out of a few things like white rice and coconut water. Quiet atmosphere conducive to casual catchup with friends. Like another reviewer said, def worth trying at least once!“

“They were so busy when I arrived with two large parties on a Sunday. I came here specifically for the khao soi noodles and they did not disappoint! I got the appetizer platter + the khao soi noodles, 10/10! Next time I’ll ask for Thai spice 😆“

“The food was really delicious, flavorful, and perfectly portioned and coursed out for lunch. And for SF it was insanely reasonably priced for 5 courses at $40. Our server Emilio was super friendly and attentive to our table's deitary needs as well. Very kind and sweet!“

“This place was way too empty for how incredibly delicious it was! First thing was the service was just lovely, such a nice lady who immediately offered a free appetizer and drink with a big smile. The Thai iced tea came first, and I know I’m a bit of a sweet tooth, but it was probably the best one I’ve ever had outside of Thailand. So incredibly creamy and rich! The food was just delectable, the crispy rolls so crunchy but tender, and the omurice was perfectly cooked, fresh and delightful. The portions were huge! Really such an excellent dinner experience, HIGHLY recommend and will be back 🤗“

“We stopped by after a long day of exploring San Francisco and we were ready for a delicious hot meal. I ordered the pad se ew (which has all but become my standard Thai dish when I try a new place). The chicken was tender but the broccoli was a bit tough — I think Chinese broccoli would’ve probably been a more suitable variant. The sweet and savory sauce was pretty typical for pad se ew! The portion size made for a nice leftover meal and the pricing was more than reasonable.“

“A cute and cozy Thai spot with friendly staff and fresh food. We ordered Pad Gra Pao, Thai fried rice with fried chicken, and Pad Eggplant. The chicken was flavorful, and the smaller menu focuses on high quality dishes. A solid find in the Richmond area.“

“Such great food and people. We were hungry driving around looking for that magical parking spot next to an acceptable eating spot bingo! We found it all at Gai. Unsure of what kinda of cuisine I said take the chance they’ve got a chicken on the sign so it’s actually food. And boy was it good. Delicious. Freshly prepared Asian Thai or Vietnamese food. I got the Original Chicken Rice bowl with side of broccali. My friend got the salad with Tofu. Both great. He sauces are fresh and flavorful. One is quite hot which I love. I recommend it. And as we sat there from 1:30 pm to 2:30, there were multiple to go orders being picked up. I think there were about 5 orders at a time rotating. Fresh Fast Full of Flavor. We hit the jackpot!“

“I visited Sawaan a couple months ago now and I still remember the fondness I felt after leaving the meal. They are a new modern Thai restaurant with a fresh take on a thai cuisine menu and trendy decor. The staff here are so sweet and considerate.
We ordered the tofu cloud, spicy drunken heaven, and the lemongrass catfish. The tofu cloud came with this thick and sweet peanut sauce. I enjoyed the aromatics in the drunken noodles. Our favorite was definitely the catfish. Make sure to eat everything while it is hot! You can taste the freshness in the catfish.
Food is most important at a restaurant, yet I’d like to highlight how well decorated Sawaan is. They put a lot of effort in the design choices from the ceramics to the light fixtures to the menu.“

“So delicious! We shared a hot tea after a windy spring day along with coconut tom kha soup, Thai fried rice, rolls and pad see ew. Perfect amount of food for three people. I even needed some juice for my phone as it was about to die, and they even helped with that! Amazing service. Will be returning.“

“If I could give Kitti’s Place a 6/5 stars I would! THE BEST THAI FOOD I HAVE EVER HAD!
I live in San Francisco and drive to Sausalito just because I’m craving Kitti’s Place!
I have been going to Kittis for as long as I can remember and they never miss. The staff treats customers like family. The food is indescribably delicious and the portion sizes are insane! I have never found thai food that can compare. No matter what you get; Pad kee mow, Tom Ka or a lettuce cup appetizer you will enjoy an explosion of flavor! The staff consistently go above and beyond to make something delicious and special when my mom (who has numerous allergies) comes to visit. Why would you go anywhere else for Thai food? Next time you are craving Thai in the Bay Area come to KITTIS PLACE!“

“love that this place is open late. it can be hard to find a good place to eat late at night in nob hill but you KNOW i'm always down for thai food like i will slurp that mf pad see ew like i've never eaten a day in my life and that's exactly what i did that last three times that i went here. place is small but usually not too busy so you always get a good spot. good menu. decent food and good service. nothing crazy to write home about. they don't have portraits of the king and queen of thailand so like it can't be THAT good but it most certainly hits the spot for late night curry cravings. tbh. what am i even saying. i'm here like every week. and the prices are reasonable for the area.“

“Excellent food, always delicious. The only downside is that we had the latest lunch reservation (1:30) that they offer. The food took about 20 minutes to come out and were asked to leave at 2:30 so they could close for the afternoon. Luckily we were basically done, otherwise we would have been rushed out of the restaurant without finishing our food. Would still return because the food is that amazing.“

Goong grab borg was amazing as well. Portions were more than enough to share between us. Everyone was so sweet and I was so happy that we found this gem. “ThaINery – International Food Court is located on the corner of Bush and Kearny streets and in the heart of FD which is an affordable, authentic Thai and tasty place “lo major de mejores” and the only survivor of this once always packed popular lunch joint [*Lee’s Kitchen, French-Vietnamese Pho, Pao Jao Dumpling & Ramen, Pushkin, Taqueria Estrella and Bibim Soul Bunsik Korean Street Food are all gone together with very short-lived “Katsuya” and “Yucatown.”]
My all-year round favorite dish at the ThaiNery is tasty eggplant tofu over rice $15 (used to be $10) which imhv is a delicious, affordable and “safe bet” ingredients wise. The owners are a middle-aged sliding young couple originally from Thailand and several cooks currently and in the past are Yucatecos who have appreciated how to cook authentic Thai through “combat experience” with an attitude to learn, improve and master. 🫡
Support our backbone mom-and-pop shops as we ordinary citizens can make a difference and leave big shot businesses to the wealthy elite & politicians😉 such as the food court which is a silhouette in of The City’s economy in “reality check” (*not wishful thinking of so-called “rebound”). [Sabes que? “Tanto tienes tanto vales.” The Mid-market is literally dying{Emporium/San Francisco Centre is dead. Period.} so is South Market while Chinatown, Union Square/Downtown, North Beach and many other neighborhood commercial strips such as Richmond (Balboa, Clement, Geary) Mission (16th to 30th), Castro, Haight-Ashbury, Sunset (Irving, Judah {9th & 43rd}, Noriega, Taraval), Bernal/Excelsior (Cortland, Persia, Geneva), Noe Valley, Glen Park, Ocean, Parkside, San Bruno, Paul, West Portal, etc. are merely struggling except Japantown and Stonestown are arguably just returning to normal.] ⚠️Under the circumstances, fasten up your seatbelt & save your💰for rainy day! 👍“

“We had dinner on Saturday night, restaurant was not crowded however we understand that the staff was dealing with take out orders. Service was very slow for our order which seemed pretty straightforward: a soup and padthai. Other guests were served more quickly; people at the next table ordered just before we did, got their food, ate and left beforewe got our food?!? On another note, we were not able to dine on the terrasse since it was a bit chilly and there is only one heater that is broken. Buying more heaters should be made a priority. This said, the food was delicious and tasted very fresh. We all loved it. So highly recommend for the food and maybe ordering as take out, only!“

“Hit up Basil Canteen a couple weeks okay for Happy Hour and tried new-to-me Thai eats! Started off with the Thaiphoon with mekhong Thai rum, coconut milk, and Thai tea—fun, but not that memorable of a cocktail, honestly. But the sakhoo sal mu was delicious! They are steamed tapioca dumplings filled with pork and peanuts. Would eat again! For a main, I had the yum woon sen, a glass noddle salad with minced chicken and shrimp in a sweet–spicy lime dressing with peanuts and fresh herbs. Fresh and tasty!“

“Quiet night for dinner. Ample portions. Asked for medium spice and was pleased that the flavor and spice were perfect. Also got a young coconut which was fun. Fried banana with pistachio ice cream for dessert. Leftovers were packed up beautifully and tasted great the next day for lunch. Sweet servers. Recommend!“

“Food is pretty average. Not too many options nearby, so it does fulfill Thai food cravings once in a while. Little pricey for the quantity. The sauce in the pumpkin curry was way too watery! Would skip that dish! The price is certainly for the location, not for the food. For better quality and reasonable price a little drive south or even downtown San Rafael would be a better option.“

“Went there for a celebration and ordered their pepper beef and rice and my wife got their barbecue chicken. Great flavor, good sizable portions and very nice service. I absolutely enjoyed my experience there. The only thing l think could make it perfect would be some music. It was too quiet for me. Other than that; great food for an affordable price.“

“**My favorite Thai restaurant in the Bay Area.**
It's a cozy family-run long-standing local gem, a hole-in-the-wall with only a handful of dine-in tables.
Besides the standard Thai dishes, the menu is extensive and includes a lot of delicious appetizers, curries, stir-fries, and other entrees. The online ordering is so convenient, and the food is all well packaged. If you can't decide what to get, the Thai Time favorites helps you narrow it down. You really can't go wrong though--literally every dish I've ordered has amazing flavors, lots of fresh ingredients, and generous portions.
The space is clean and features traditional Thai decor, and the owners are very friendly. Prices have remained consistent throughout the years and are very reasonable considering how expensive SF has become. (It usually comes out to ~$25 per person for a feast with leftovers)“

“The red curry was Amazing! I got the curry with vegetables and tofu. It had just enough spice to enhance the flavors instead of overpowering them- not too spicy and very delicious. My friend and I both loved our dishes. I’m curious about the other dishes but I’d honestly go back to get the exact same one again because it was so good. I’ve thought of it several times since I’ve eaten there, which means it was quite literally a memorable experience! I’m definitely coming back and recommending to more friends! There is indoor and outdoor seating- we chose to sit outside because it was a nice sunny day.“
