“A cute little restaurant with a lot of soul and delicious food!! The woman who served us was really nice, the place is very clean, the menu has a variety of options and there is a really good vibe.

My husband ordered the basil fried rice with a moderate level of spiciness. He loved it, although it was still a little too spicy for him. Next time he will ask for less spicy. I ordered Kao Moo Dang and it was delicious! It is sweetly spiced and there is also a sweet and slightly spicy sauce that comes on the side. To finish, we ordered an egg tart. I could eat it every day!

Overall, we both enjoyed it very much and there are many more options that I want to try. We will definitely be back!“

The waiter was the worst service i've ever had, he didn't even put in my food order, he didn't even come to give us a check , we had to go back and forth and ask for dessert at the counter. And as we left , he didn't even say thank you.

But I want to say that we had the best busser ever! He filled our waters constantly, he noticed that I wasn't getting my food and checked on me, and he's packed my food up. He actually cared about our family and our food and our experience. So thank you to him, he saved our experience.“

“My wife was craving Thai food during our recent trip to the bay area so we decided to give this place a shot. As with most Thai restaurants in the US, I really wasn't expecting much but the dishes were actually quite good. My wife said the taste is similar to Bangok restaurants in upscale malls, which trust me isn't a bad thing. Wishing these guys continued success!“

It's different enough from what you'd get at a restaurant, and very delicious! We're longtime fans of their pad see ew, pad Thai and (in particular) their khao soi, which they unfortunately run out of sometimes so come early! The staff are very friendly and happy to accommodate pure veg food requests as well.“

“I’m Thai and my family was in the restaurant business so I know Thai food. Our group of over 10 people dined here today. Food was great. It was a team event so we requested a prix fixe menu and budget control. The restaurant was very responsive and go above and beyond to help us with the arrangements. The menu options was good. “This is the best Thai restaurant that San Francisco has to offer and it is truly one of a kind: prices are exceptionally reasonable, the layout is clean and Zen, and the parking is abundant. From years of developing a strong palate for local Asian cuisine, Ocean Thai has delivered beyond my demanding expectations. I ordered the Thom Ka soup, Prawns Chao Lay, Larb Salad, and the Miang Kham spinach wraps. All of these were delightfully fresh and delicious. I will return in short time to once again explore its well-assorted menu.“

“Great neighborhood gem, family run spot serving Thai and Laotian dishes that had some unique dishes not commonly seen at a typical Thai spot. The black metal doors were a bit discrete, but it's quite spacious inside. we were a party of 3 for lunch and there was no wait. We ordered 4 dishes and the food came out at a good pace.

Would recommend: Green curry - great flavor, mild but creamy. The Champa Sampler with their Laotian sausages and fried spring rolls (skinny, cut into chunks) and some crunchy fried onion (?) or nuts on a bed of white rice. I preferred dipping their rice noodles on the side better than the rice.
Their fried appetizers were hot and crunchy - like their fresh fried rice balls. They have good flavored soup that warms the soul!

Pork belly stir fry with Chinese Broccoli was a pass - the meat was sliced not cubed and fried too hard to chew through. The greens were a bit too greasy from the meat.
Larp (Laotian salad) was a bit too watery and salty! The fish sauce fully soaked the leafy greens.

We will come back and try Padem derm (yellow curry) and Khao piak (noodle soup dish).“

“Zabb is a local Thai restaurant in the Excelsior district. It is ran by the sweetest women. My order was a tom ka gai (chicken coconut) soup $15. Complex flavors and it was delicious. You can order it with different levels of spiciness. Good job Zabb Thai. My soup was ready in about five minute.“
