“One of few places in Southern California that actually offers vegan talai. The naan garlic bread is out of these world. What I also love that they can make low salt food too and they have vegan mango lassi. Food is clean, so delicious and the employees are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended if you are in area. “Thai Thyme is cozy Thai restaurant that specialize in authentic Thailand cuisine. It’s located in Monrovia. They have vast selection of food and drinks at a reasonable price. Interior looks charming with high ceiling and exposed brick. Atmosphere was relaxing.

We have walked passed by Thai Thyme for years but never hand a chance to check-in until tonight. Because it tends to be packed due to its popularity. Anyway, after we perused their menu; I ordered a Chicken Pad Won Sen, Spring Rolls, iced tea and water. The noodle was tasty, moist and flavorful albeit a bit salty. Similarly, spring rolls were delightful. Drinks were good.

Staff were very attentive, engaging and respectful. Prices were fair and competitive. Atmosphere was relaxing and has a good vibe. Overall, it’s a nice Thai spot in my favorite town of Monrovia. I recommend you visit.“

“10 stars!! I recognized really late that I misunderstood “take two” and once they made my cheesy bread I was going to pay for it. However, they were so accommodating and didn’t make me feel stupid for messing up and I really appreciate that. It’s been a long weekend for me so that gesture hits me even harder. “Hometown diner is the feel of this place. You get the most friendly servers, quick service and some of the best foods in town.

Whether you’re in town visiting or a local, this is the go to breakfast/brunch place to go. They have a wide variety of food options on the menu, so even your pickiest eaters are able to find soemthing they may like.

I have tried several things on the menu and none have I disliked so far. Tried their new poutine dish with corned beef and it was delicious. The sauce was perfect, the texture and cook of the fries were perfect.“

“We love JB Burgers. Why? For one, the food is great. I get a steak sandwich all the time. No mayo, due to a diet constraint. Sometimes I'll get a bowl of chili ... or if I'm in the mood, I'll get a stack of french toast with my steak sandwich. Yes, that's a lot of food!

Steak sandwich - The french roll is good. The steak is a nice piece of meat and it has great flavor. They put tomatoes and lettuce. The tomatoes are good. The lettuce adds a crisp crunch, but there's a lot of white lettuce. The steak sandwich is a must!

My better half gets a guacamole burger. Tasty and the guac adds some healthiness AND the creamy texture replaces mayo, 1000 Island or any other sauce that's not healthy.

The chili is good! When it's chilly or on a rainy day, it's good comfort food!

French Toast - this is good stuff. They give you a lot and it's made well. Taste is really good and they use a thicker bread - yummm!

Now to the wonderful staff! 95% of the time we've had good to exceptional service. I order inside the restaurant - makes sense since we're eating inside. One time, this gal told me I could not order inside and she made me go outside to order. I told her I order inside all the time, but she didn't want to listen. I almost left, but I saw the familiar faces there, so I ordered outside. The next time I saw her there, she let me order inside.

I try to get to JB's at least once a week. They're my go to!

“The place had delicious food. This place had many people coming in and was crowded during brunch time. I can see why so many people come here. The drinks and food are excellent but the seating was a bit of a challenge since it was quite noisy.“

“If you have not had the chance to dine in at Girasol, I highly recommend it. The chicharon with guac is a must as a starter, make sure you get some of the spicy sauce. As for a recommendation for a meal, well you have to come in and try. We loved the chilaquiles, the carne en su juego, the menudo, and the breakfast burrito. If you have a sweeter taste, the French toast, the pancakes and the crepe are awesome. But as mentioned before, you just have to come in and try everything.“

“This restaurant serves a lot of dishes I had never even heard of! I tried the Khao klook ga-pi (fermented shrimp rice bowl) - definitely took a chance there but it was absolutely delicious! The servers were helpful with suggestions on how to eat the food and answering questions about the menu. Definitely would love to try more of their menu!“

“I was craving Korean bbq but bowl style and this spot was nearby.

I ordered their marinated short rib bowl and I added extra proteins of spam, an egg and chicken with no rice, all salad. It was a phenomenal lunch overall. The flavor was definitely there. It was definitely pricey after I added all the extras, but still worth it.

I’d definitely come back here again to try their other menu items.“

“Oto-Oto is exceptional in every way. The food is fantastic and considering the quality, reasonably priced. The presentation of the food is beautiful without being over the top. The staff is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and timely without being intrusive. The chefs are professional trained sushi chefs. The atmosphere is lovely, warm, and interesting-- note the giant bonsho (bell) hanging from the cool, high open ceiling and the display of bottles at the bar for example. It is quiet so you can hear yourselves talk. It stays busy without ever feeling cramped or rushed. If you look at the clientele, you will know it is a top-notch place because they are locals and people who keep coming back time and time again -- the staff recognizes and remembers them and there are warm exchanges between them.We often get take-out and one night I sat and just observed the interplay of staff -- it was like watching a beautiful dance as they wove in and out -- making drinks, taking orders, delivering food, and the chefs with hands flying as they made dish after dish and without breaking stride, they smiled through it all - it was better than watching most of what is on television. We love Oto-Oto in every way and highly recommend it.

Double Shrimp brown rice and spring mix cucumber pineapple kale edamame and cilantro spicy mayo and sweet chilli sauce and it’s straight perfection! I added avocado and all the nuts toppings and its super refreshing crisp and fresh! Best part is you feel good after eating this amazing food! I’ll definitely be coming back for more!“

“Northeastern Noodle House, the braised beef noodles are delicious, and the beef burrito is full of coriander and green onions. Unfortunately, I don’t like the sweet noodle sauce, but the crust is super thin and the beef is delicious! The large plate of chicken shaved noodles is delicious with a bit of numbing flavor from Sichuan peppercorns! There is a live ramen show by the chef, and the noodles are freshly made and delicious...the service is good! It was full at dinner time..“

“Pinkberry is my one stop shop for frozen yogurt. I like that they have copious amount of toppings and flavors. Indoor vibe was welcoming. Similarly, it’s neat, organized and well lit. Staff were ebullient and very helpful. They were following health protocol. After a minute of deliberation and much needed thought as I look at the menu. I ordered a medium size cup of pomegranate flavor with fruits, mochi and chocolate chip as toppings. I truly enjoyed my Pinkberry pomegranate yogurt. “I haven't been to Baja Fresh in a while. Sadly, a few on my commute have closed. I ordered chicken fajitas, burrito, and kids meal. The sauces were so good, varied and spicy, compared to the El Pollo Loco sauces which have been eliminated and unflavored and watery. The food didn't taste only salty! Happily surprised for a fast casual.
The restaurant looked and smelled clean and fresh and nice a/c and fans. Bathrooms were decent and stocked. Staff friendly and patient.

It looked like they'd been sweeping and maybe had to stop before finishing to do some other duties but it was finished up.
Within the parameters of a fast casual under 20/person, definitely 5 stars.“
