“We spied the harbor front table seating while heading out on a whale watch tour and returned there for lunch afterwards. An amazing find. It was a beautiful day out, so we requested outdoor seating. Staff was really pleasant and attentive. Food was great and this is not at all a tourist mediocre stop like some other harbor front places on the Monterey Bay. Decent pricing. We will for sure be returning on trips between Santa Cruz and Monterey.

Vegetarian options: Hummus sandwich, salads

Parking: There’s a gravel parking lot with several spots off the street. We parked on the street with no problem.

“Blaze pizza is always amazing. Only thing, on their website, I can never seem to find where to tip the delivery driver. And also wish the pizza could be warmer. Not even 5 minutes in to eating, pizza was COLD. It's a good thing pizza taste good when it's cold. “

“Followed the previous owners/chefs of Little Sicily over to Altura to continue to enjoy their amazingly delicious Sicilian food whenever we come into town. It has become one of my favorite traditions! Altura has a relaxed vibe with a beautiful ambience - both indoors and outdoors. The staff is friendly and the service is awesome. We are filled with joy whenever we get the chance to enjoy a tasty meal there - whether it's the meatballs, the homemade pasta, or any dish with my favorite marinara sauce, you can never go wrong! And the prices are reasonable too! Don't sleep in this place - you won't regret it.“

“I called in and placed my order for one of their large pepperoni pizza’s only because they give you a free small one . The small one my 6 grade daughter and I shared it and we ate it for our lunch. Took the large one home had it for dinner with the family.“

“The son of the owner was managing the place when I went. He was friendly and he was amenable to correcting my order after I submitted it.
The wings are yum, I recommend. The pizza is also tasty; I would prefer that they add less dressing on pizza and maybe more spice.
I hope they continue to do well (they opened just 4 months ago).“

“The food had always been far superior to......what word really tops amazing? Out on the road, I try as little as possible to use franchises found at home. We've made this a top choice. its always great to find places to count on when away from home.“

“We have been going to Heirloom Pizza a few times a year for a while now and have always enjoyed great food and good service. This was until last night. The food was still delicious and the server was good. That was the limit of a good experience. The hostess had a look that we were bothering her by wanting to eat there. We arrived about 7pm and they were busy, but it only took about 10 minutes to be seated. We ordered fairly quickly and then waited for over 50 minutes to have an appetizer to reach our table and another 25 minutes for our main dish. By the time we received our appetizer the restaurant had only 5-6 tables with people still sitting. We understand that it takes a little longer for a deep dish pizza, but well over an hour in unacceptable. In the 50 minutes we saw no less than a dozen or so orders go out the door for pickup orders. I understand they sell pizza and there is likely a large amount of business that doesn't come an stay to eat, but we felt forgotten. If we choose to go back, maybe we should order before arriving.“

“I went to this location on a bus tour for a new staff orientation. We took over the whole building. This place has 3-5 huge tv screens that were playing the Olympic Games, basketball, and soccer. The staff were very busy running around and serving food with a huge smile. Every staff member including the owner, Junior (who was cooking all of our food), had a huge smile on their faces and kept asking if we needed anything else. The bus tour ran late and we had to leave in a hurry. Without complaint the staff cleaned up and asked if we needed anything else. The staff encouraged us to take to-go boxes and went above and beyond in friendly, respectful, welcoming customer service. I love to support places like this and always feel respected and valued as a customer.

“The customer service is excellent and their pizza is on point. It is family oriented environment. They support schools, kids fundraisers, Supported Japanese student club and our local Salinas high students were able to go to Japan. I recommend coming here. I always keep one thing in mind we don't live in a perfect world doesn' mean that Mountain Mike is a bad place to come. On another note they have earned the Monterey County Health Department Gold Seal“

“Customer service is above and beyond. Stick to traditional pizzas, and you will have one of the best pizzas in town. They are all really nice and make you feel like a regular. The atmosphere is more adult. Other than that, this is the go-to for a good night of pizza.“
