“I admire this restaurant! They provide delicious food, their menu is varied, The chef in that place is very experienced, I like a lot eating all their food. The food is consistently fresh and tasty, the attitude towards the guests is friendly. I visit often this place and I not even once was unhappy. I recommend this place.“

“This hidden jem will not disappoint. The food is on point and deliciously fresh and tantalizing! They have a menu that fits every type of eater, including vegetarian selections and healthy tidbits. For those who love to indulge, mouth waters glasses of ice-cold milk shakes dipped in chocolate await you, with leftovers in the container and a spoon! There are waffles with maple syrup, Hawaiian pineapple chicken sandwiches, Serrano peppers mixed in with scrambled eggs, and kids menu items that can feed two very hungry preschools from a single plate. I always have leftovers. And to top it off, the prices are pretty reasonable, especially for the huge portion sizes. When you pull up, you may notice that the lines may be long, but don't let that hijack your food craving. Stop the car and come on in! They have a fast system, and it works like clock work. I don't know if it's because they are located at the airport where people traditionally need fast service? It's a pleasant atmosphere for families, friends or individuals. You can even find a seat at the counter and watch the food service in action. “I love Mom and Papa joints like this one. They have great breakfast here, in my opinion. The flavors are excellent, they take pride on their cooking and that makes my food soul so happy. I tried their chile verde chicken enchiladas breakfast, it was toped off with 2 eggs, hashbrowns, and beans .. wonderful.. you guys should try it for your selfs, it will make you food soul so happy. You want a veggie omelette 1st time, then 2nd serving you want meat omelette. Go for it. You eat it - you order it. It is not like a regular buffet where food is left. “Celebrated my 79th last night with Jacki and neighbor Bill. Been a minute since we've visited The Cave. My bad. What a wonderful evening. ALL the food was top tier. The service and ambiance matched or exceeded that high level.

The Food- Bill had Mahi Mahi with a pineapple salsa and asparagus risotto. His plate was so clean I don't think it required washing. Jacki has the beef tournedos. I had her leftovers this a.m. in an omelet. Thumbs up from both of us on this dish. Last night's dinner for me was Chicken Tortilla soup and lamb sliders. So good on both counts. The best part was no dish we had was above $32. Many menu items in the $20-25 range.

Wines are quite reasonable. We shared a bottle of The Prisoner for $55. This very sought after blend is $40-45 in discount wine stores $49 at VONS.

The people - Our evening was made better by our server, Megan who never put a foot wrong all night long. Above and beyond service with personality. Michel, the owner/chef was seen in conversation at most every table including ours. Funny and talented guy. He cares about every plate served and every person seated.

Ambiance - We ate in the the back room. Very stylish and comfortable. Complimented the meal.

It's getting harder and harder to get find truly fine dining at this price point. Reward yourself, go see Michel, Megan and the crew at The Cave. You'll be impressed.“

The Benedict sauce was so good with a hint of sweet, maybe from the ham ? The potatoes were so good and done perfectly with onions and peppers. A perfect combination. She was always cheerful, moved fast, and what impressed me the most was how she constantly checked if we needed anything, and she was there with refills for our drinks even before we can ask for one! “Placed a large take-out order for our group of 11 on a Wednesday evening and unfortunately, had to return to pick-up one Chimichurri Steak sandwich that was ordered but not included in our large take-out order bag. Next time, we'll be sure to double-check the order to make sure all items ordered are included.

The Chimicurri Steak sandwich was quite tasty and I was very glad that I requested the cranberry chutney aioli on the side in a cup because it was not good with a very strong garlic taste. The bun was a bit heavy and could have been much better if toasted. The Cilantro Chicken salad was quite fresh and served with a delicious cilantro vinaigrette dressing.
The Keto Cobb salad was also very fresh and delicious and again we were very glad that we requested the blue cheese dressing on the side in a cup because it was watery and not good.
The focaccia bread was not light and tasty as expected – this focaccia bread needs to be toasted.

Overall, we were quite impressed with the freshness of the salads but quite disappointed in the focaccia bread and the cranberry chutney aioli and the watery blue cheese dressing.“

“This place is a lot of fun to watch sports. There are many sports fans, lots of TVs, and enthusiastic people cheering, creating an exciting atmosphere. The place is filled with people in their sports gear. The service is good, and the waitstaff work as quickly as they can. They try hard and are very friendly. “I have visited The Cave twice, a week apart. The first time was for a wine pairing dinner, which we did with another couple. There were 5 courses (appetizer, salad, two entree courses, and dessert) and each dish was delicious. We decided to return a week later to see if it would be as good for just an ordinary night out. The restaurant was not too busy (it was a Tuesday) but each of the dishes we enjoyed was well prepared and very good. We ordered the Macadamia Crusted Salmon, a chicken special stuffed with goat cheese and spinach, and another chicken dish. The restaurant is attached to a wine shop, and if you don't want to sample wines by the ounce or order wine off the restaurant list, you can go into the shop and choose from literally hundreds of wines at all price points and then bring the bottle into the restaurant where they will serve the wine for a very minimal ($10) corkage fee. Done be put off by its location in an industrial park. This place is a gem! Inside it looks like a wine cave and they usually have some quiet live music at dinner time. This is definitely one of the better dinner spots in Ventura!“

“Didn’t eat, just had a beer while I wait to get a hair cut. Just before noon, I got the last seat at the bar. Quite a few tables inside with a few couples enjoying the elbow room.

Bartender was super friendly and helped me choose a tasty beer I surprisingly haven’t had yet. Patrons were very friendly as well. Small chit chat but respecting my introvertness.

“We were a bit concerned when we arrived there on a Friday night. It was do loud inside we had to wait for an outside table.

That came with its own different distraction. Cars and trucks revving and burning out, over and over... and over.

However, I was extremely happy to see that their beer menu is fantastic! It's actually among the best I've seen for a restaurant! And the food was also excellent!

Their poke nachos were great. As was their Mediterranean salmon and Ahi tuna crunchy salad. The bread pudding was as good as any I've tasted.

Our server was a doll. She was totally honest about something that most wouldn't have been. We will definitely be back, though not on another Friday night, in our attempt to find it much less noisy inside and out.“
