I walked in as someone who didn’t like red wine, and left as a true convert after being guided to exceptional wines, by the extremely knowledgeable owner Manny. Every wine Manny suggested absolutely hit the mark, with my two favourites being a red 2021 Koncha & Co sweet Saperavi from Georgia, and a white Koncha & Co Kisi.

The atmosphere is really cosy and welcoming. Hours will disappear here as it’s so relaxing.

Highly recommend and will be back next weekend!

“Sekoya has been on our list for a while, and we were finally able to make it for a birthday celebration. They made it special from the start, giving us a personalized menu with ‘happy birthday’. The inside of the restaurant has a cool vibe to it, so if you’re looking for something more special I’d recommend that. Otherwise the heated covered patio is a great option. Their cocktail program is extensive and absolutely fantastic. But the food, that is where the magic is happening. We started with the tuna tartare- fresh, classic. The plantain chips give it a nice flavor. The crispy prawns were over a bed of papaya salad and spicy mayo- a balance of sweet, spicy and crunchy in each bite. For mains, we had to try their burger. This 6oz patty was flavored in I don’t know what, but it was easily one of our top burgers of the year. The side of truffle French fries were a classic but could be skipped. The roasted scallops were large, perfectly cooked over polenta and topped with bacon jam. If I could have licked my plate I would have. A MUST get was, yes, the beef tongue skewer. Our waiter told us it would be his last meal so naturally we had to try it. It was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. We will definitely be ordering it again. To celebrate the meal (and our birthday), we got the mini crispy chocolate chip cookies with a side of vanilla ice cream. The perfect pairing to end an amazing meal. There are so many other good options on the menu we cannot wait to come back!“

“We love Bistro Elan! For this visit - we sat outside at the parklet and had a lovely, quiet dinner. The service, led by waiter Ed, was fabulous. “Wine tasting in Hayward are words I never thought existed, but apparently Hayward is the perfect place for the best Chardonnay. We always pass by this hidden gem and so glad we stopped by this time. 🙏

Houston Family Vineyards in downtown was such a cute place with tasty wine and wonderful service. We are absolutely getting our wines here instead of the store from now on. 🍷

“I discovered this great gem of a bar during the final Hayward B street block party of the season! The owner was very friendly & the bar tender was amazing! She was working so hard because it was super busy. I ordered the Lemon Pepper Chicken wings & they were the best I'd ever had. YUM!! They took awhile to come but as I said they were super busy at the time, but they were well worth the wait. Come on down to Blue Crown Bar & Bistro!!“

“Our first time at Broma and it was great! James, our server, is a real pro: knowledgeable and unobtrusive. The menu is very multicultural. I had the chicken liver mousse - delicious! Then the very yummy chicken sandwich. My husband had the tasty crab dip and then the lamb ragout with pappadelle! Outstanding. We had no room for dessert. It's a perfect place before a concert at Shoreline. We will return.“

“I have enjoyed each and every time I have visited. I have had a few dishes off the menu and they have been mouthwatering delights. Everything is fresh and they bring cheese and pepper to grind at the table. Very accommodating for a small to med size group. Staff is very responsive my bread nor my water glass were never empty. The owner is a very nice gentleman and has a lot of restaurant experience, remembered my name and what I usually drink.
Parking is ok, so give yourself a few minutes to get a good spot. The place is decorated in a vintage and reminds me of the places in the Bronx. Handicap seating is available and I would encourage making a reservation. Quiet place for lunch or dinner. Enjoy !!!“

“Parking was easy in the hotel's guest parking lot. ESC is in the hotel lobby, slightly blocked off by partitions, so it was a little odd. Food and tea were good. Service was slow as they had only one server and another new person in training. We had to ask for our second tea at the end of our meal since our server forgot to serve it to us. The afternoon tea selection was good and they had everything out for you to smell the teas. Being able to smell the blends helped us make our tea selections. Each treat in the afternoon tea was tasty and well crafted. I don't know if I would go again, but we had a pleasant time and enjoyed our afternoon tea set.“
