“A beautiful morning at Crystal Cove...7AM reservation at a table with great views of the ocean and our smiling server, Oscar, welcoming us with strong hot coffees & cream. Perfect. I enjoyed a typical breakfast that was perfectly prepared to my order: poached eggs, extra crispy potatoes & bacon with rye toast and blackberry jam. My lovely partner was overwhelmed by the tasty gigantic "Savory Spinach & Mushroom Crepe". It would easily feed two people. Oscar was very attentive and often stopped by with more hot coffee. My grass-fed steak was tender and juicy, the mac n cheese was comforting and delicious, and the side of beets paired well with the goat cheese. My husband enjoyed his crispy chicken sandwich and fries. I love the variety of food offered at Urban Plates and knowing my body is getting high quality nutrients while enjoying something delicious!

“My daughter, mother and I chose Jack’s for our GNO. We had such a lovely time!. Even though the restaurant was packed, it still had a family friendly, mom and pop time of vibe. Our server was Cruz and he was very attentive, warm and welcoming. The portions were quite large and the food was DELICIOUS. You could taste the love in every bite. Even though we were all happy with my food, I couldn’t help but notice how good the dishes around me looked also (especially the pork chop!!). We will definitely be back again soon so I can try other things.“

“We had high hopes coming to Olea, but alas we were disappointed. Location/Ambiance: Westcliff Plaza and small with a large bar at the front, the layout leaves little space for tables. We sat in a snug booth alongside the windows with a view of Susie Cakes next door. The decor is warm and modern. Food: Subpar! Burnt bread but delicious whipped butter. Butter lettuce and Goat cheese salad was bland with a basic dressing. Mac and cheese skillet was good but nothing amazing. Filet was dry with overdone gluey mashed potatoes, and underdone broccolini. Halibut was pan seared to a dry mess with an inedible coating, bland steamed seasonal vegetables of cauliflower, carrots, and broccoli as a side. Service: Friendly and Fake, if you enjoy watching servers walk away from your table talking about how "picky and difficult you are" this is a perfect spot. My Mother has dietary restrictions and we are specific to ensure a safe dining experience, it's sad when that's met with disdain. Overall: We won't be back!“

“The food is amazing here. Always excellent. Always made the same consistent way each time we have been here. The staff is SUPER friendly and they have a beautiful dog-friendly patio. It does get really busy at lunch on Saturdays so be prepared if you come that day. Weekdays tend to be a lot slower. It quickly has become my favorite place to eat and is my go-to place now. The food is just as good delivered as well. Cannot go wrong here. Especially with the Chicken Club. Delicious. Fries are really good too.“

The venue is gorgeous of course and it's difficult to leave roaming the beautiful nursery & craft store area to get to your reservation so give yourself plenty of time during your visit for shopping. The capable service staff is eager to please and every dish is thoughtfully prepared/presented. A couple of our favorite dishes are: the Asian beef short ribs & the Pomegranate & balsamic glazed salmon salad which are reasonably priced and delicious. A bonus for us as Guide Dog puppy raisers is they're dog friendly.“

“I use to go to RH with my family in the 70's. Atmosphere always transported us to Hawaii. They were famous for BB ribs, drinks, unique salad (with mayo dressing) and even served a bowl of crudite' with celery, salami, etc. every meal. I didn't like the modern re model, however, NOW THIS RE BUILD iS so cool! Just like the 1970's but better!! Dim lit and Hawaiian music set the mood. I was really anxious to try the ribs again. The service was GREAT appetizer excellent but, ribs, BAD! They were not edible. Hard and chewy, like beef jerky. I was so disappointed and all of our party ordered and received the same. I may try again but won't order ribs!!!“

“The Lumberyard located in beautiful downtown Laguna Beach is a great place to have lunch or dinner. There is a new $16 lunch menu and I decided to try the fish tacos. There was a choice between salmon or halibut for the tacos which included shredded cabbage with a pink cream sauce and a side of black bean and corn salad. I chose the halibut for my taco and it was cooked perfectly. It was a generous portion of fish in each of the tacos so it could easily be split with a friend. The service was excellent. Our orders were taken within about five minutes of sitting down and the food came out quickly after we ordered. I would recommend the Lumberyard if you are visiting Laguna Beach. You will need to have reservations during the Art Festivals or when there is a play at the Playhouse.“

“Bayside Restaurant in Newport Beach is a gem, especially for its live music every night. The atmosphere is so captivating that I often find myself singing along or even getting up to dance. The food and service are just as exceptional: my go-to dishes are the scallops, the lamb, and all the steaks. The seafood is so fresh and the steaks are far superior in flavor to any high-end restaurant. For appetizers, the ahi tuna tartare is a must-try (THE BEST I’ve had anywhere), and the calamari with its Thai-style twist of chilies, green onion, and cilantro over an amazing salad is a standout. Desserts? Absolutely heavenly. The cheesecake and panna cotta are favorites, but the Grand Marnier souffle is simply to die for. “Iconic old school Newport Beach harbor bar/grill. Been here forever. How many places can you pull in with your boat and grab drinks and food to go or stay and enjoy the day? Not cheap- but you don’t go to Newport for value- you go for the experience and the energy. This place has great food and decent drinks too. Can get a little busy and take a bit of time to get attention- but it’s all worth it.“

The restaurant sits within the Montage resort with sweeping views that are genuinely hard to beat. The menu is thoughtfully put together with quality ingredients and an impressive wine selection. Service was polished and attentive. As someone who regularly brings buyers to Laguna Beach, I find that a meal at The Loft does more for their decision than any property brochure ever could. “Amarith Farmhouse Restaurant & Pie Shoppe is a casual farm-to-table spot with a big menu, made-from-scratch dishes, fried chicken, and pies. They also have a farm where some of the restaurant's ingredients come from, which was pretty neat. They even let us try watermelon from the farm. In addition to the food, they also had lots of pies and even frozen chicken pot pies in the fridge/freezer.

You order at the front, and they bring the food out for you. The restaurant had a chill vibe with light music in the background. Just know that they can run out of items quite early. We went on a Friday around 6:30pm, and I wanted to try the Short Rib Pasta, but they didn't have it.

* Bone-in Fried Chicken 5/5 - This came out hot with crispy skin and a crunchy texture while still being light and juicy. I was thinking, it's just fried chicken, but it ended up being pretty good. You also get 2 sides to go with it.

*Brussel Sprouts side 4/5 - These tasted decent with a good texture.“

“Great food, especially for the price in Laguna.

This Finneys location is particularly enjoyable, being one of the only 'watering holes' in Laguna, comprised of 30% locals every night.

They have great bar tenders overall, however there is high turnover. You'll be lucky if Kelsie is at the bar to serve you. The group of locals that rack it up 6-7 days a week were extremely disappointed to learn that she is temporarily only working 1 day per week. She contributed greatly to building the community here and its unfortunate that I won't be seeing as many locals as a result.“
