“Haven't been here for many years. A brief visit to the area, and I decided I had to go there (my sister visited it recently). Oh how glad I am. We had the most sterling waitperson, Taylor. She made our evening an absolute delight. Her energy was just right...genuine, encouraging and informative. We came back for breakfast mostly at her encouragement and because she was working that shift too. The food is exquisite. The ambiance is perfect...beachy vibe, with a fancy feel. Thank you Taylor and thank you Beachcomber!!“

My girlfriend had the pepper pasta and said it was amazing (and she'd just had it in Italy) I had the grilled cheese with the summer corn soup. I sure wished you'd offer that with a side salad! “Kim, who showed me to my table, was a very warm and friendly manager who asked what we were here for. Our server asked me to spell my friend's name, she was the birthday girl. When she arrived I wanted her to get an hbd and enjoy a thoughtful dessert at the end. Everyone provided attentive and smiling service. Also, the complimentary champagne at the greeting was so thoughtful.“

“We had high hopes coming to Olea, but alas we were disappointed. Location/Ambiance: Westcliff Plaza and small with a large bar at the front, the layout leaves little space for tables. We sat in a snug booth alongside the windows with a view of Susie Cakes next door. The decor is warm and modern. Food: Subpar! Burnt bread but delicious whipped butter. Butter lettuce and Goat cheese salad was bland with a basic dressing. Mac and cheese skillet was good but nothing amazing. Filet was dry with overdone gluey mashed potatoes, and underdone broccolini. Halibut was pan seared to a dry mess with an inedible coating, bland steamed seasonal vegetables of cauliflower, carrots, and broccoli as a side. Service: Friendly and Fake, if you enjoy watching servers walk away from your table talking about how "picky and difficult you are" this is a perfect spot. My Mother has dietary restrictions and we are specific to ensure a safe dining experience, it's sad when that's met with disdain. Overall: We won't be back!“

“I had an amazing experience today at The Stand in Tustin, thanks to a staff member named Evan. I arrived on a busy Friday evening with my three young children, and after sitting down, I realized I had mistakenly left one of their orders off when I placed it. With the long line of people waiting and my three hungry kids, I quickly flagged Evan down for help. I explained my situation and asked if he could bring the missing order, offering to pay him cash on the spot. Without hesitation, Evan stepped up, quickly resolving the issue and bringing our missing order to the table.

As a mom with three little ones, it was a huge relief to be able to stay seated and focus on feeding my kids instead of waiting in line again. Evan's kindness and quick action truly made our dinner experience a great one. Thank you, Evan, for understanding and helping out a forgetful mom!“

“Came in on a Saturday night with a reservation to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. We were seated immediately. Abigail was our server and bartender and she was so sweet and attentive!! The entire staff made sure our table stayed clean and that our items came at a reasonable time. We both loved our pasta plates, especially the brussels sprouts. Dessert was brought out and Abigail brought my bf a nice card that the entire restaurant signed wishing him a happy birthday, which was so thoughtful- never been to a place that did that. Came here just to review my recent experience with exceptional service from Rudi at Shorebird. Now, seeing and reading others’ comments, I am making a mental note to revisit since all these photos show how decadent their menu is and how beautiful their ambiance looks. I can only comment that their takeout service is superb. I already feel like it’s a special occasion even with their takeout sushi! Rudi prepares some of the best sushi rolls I’ve enjoyed! “My best friend was able to pull together a wedding by the beach in 10 days. The day before we called Sapphire to see if they could accommodate us with 30-40 people. They did and created a menu with their names on it and the meals available to everyone. The service was amazing, the food was delicious and the drinks kept coming. Everyone had an amazing time, they even allowed the newlyweds to have their first dance on the patio. I appreciate the owners so much for making this day so special for my friend and her family. ❤️“

“I use to go to RH with my family in the 70's. Atmosphere always transported us to Hawaii. They were famous for BB ribs, drinks, unique salad (with mayo dressing) and even served a bowl of crudite' with celery, salami, etc. every meal. I didn't like the modern re model, however, NOW THIS RE BUILD iS so cool! Just like the 1970's but better!! Dim lit and Hawaiian music set the mood. I was really anxious to try the ribs again. The service was GREAT appetizer excellent but, ribs, BAD! They were not edible. Hard and chewy, like beef jerky. I was so disappointed and all of our party ordered and received the same. I may try again but won't order ribs!!!“

“Brunch with my bestie. We were sat outside with a view of the private beach. We watched the occasional surfer and serene waves while sipping prosecco and enjoying each other's company. The staff is lovely. The seating is comfortable. The food is delightful, and we enjoyed very nice surprises, such as precisely how big and delicious the cinnamon roll is. I've never in my life been excited about a cinnamon roll. This one changes everything. It's perfectly seasoned, perfectly browned outside and fluffy inside, and perfectly gooey - not at all runny. The seafood salad and eggs benny were just as good. I never thought about using focaccia for eggs Benedict, but here we are and it ruined us for any other configuration for this dish. Every single interaction was sincerely positive, and I can't say enough about how each encounter with a team member, even brief, remains on my mind. An unforgettable experience. Will return and will recommend.

“We love bayside But Father’s Day was a complete fail… It started out wrong when they brought the wrong wine but that was OK. We waited the next 20 minutes for the correct wine… Then my husband had finally decided what he wanted for dinner and they said they were out of it and they should’ve told us at the door apparently - about all the things they were out of. Then he ordered the soup and it never came, and then the desert we brought home with us was completely the wrong thing. ( who takes ice cream to go!? It was supposed to be cheesecake!) Father’s Day fail Usually spot on. This time - literally everything was spot Off! The halibut was mediocre at best. Mushroom crust was mentioned but truffle was not and I don’t like truffle. The shrimp risotto was just ok. Don’t go on a special - (busy?) Day I guess. 300 dollars wasted. That’s kind of a lot. The entertainment was good. They were louder than usual so we could not chat. But I suppose we should have expected that in a busy night. I like that the hostesses dress classier lately. The manager is attentive and involved- However we did not speak with him this visit. I would have liked to let him know how disappointed we were but didn’t even know about the desert mistake ymtil we were at home. We were not charged for the soup we never received at least. We will try again - we’ve been going for years after all but wow what a disappointment this Father’s Day. So sad.“
