“This is my favorite restaurant ever since I discovered it. The food is almost uniformly excellent. I took a chance on the swordfish this time, even though I gave up on ordering it in restaurants decades ago since they always overcook it, and it was perfect. We told them beforehand we were celebrating a birthday, and they brought out a plate of several little desserts, artistically arranged. And since they cancelled my reservation a couple of weeks ago due to having to make some kind of repairs, they started the meal with free bruchetta. On all days except Friday and Saturday, there's free corkage. But the best thing about it is the lovely ambiance and friendliness of the entire staff. I can't praise this place highly enough.“
“First time here since they first opened two years ago. Fast service! Have an “A” rating in the window. Very clean! Many menu items. Italian to Mexican! Customers coming in while we waited for our order seemed to all be on a first name basis with a small community feel. Lots of fist bumping going on! Lol Seemed everybody knew each other by their first names. The chicken burrito that we split was good. A customer who was already there eating her lunch when we arrived, got up and went out of her way to let the owner know that she really enjoyed her fish tacos ??. She said they were excellent! So may have to give those a try next time! Great place for a quick bite! Catering seems to be offered.“

They have lots of homemade Italian family favorites like guanciale, or hard to find Italian foodstuffs.But the real delight is for under $10 they have the best sandwiches in town, hands down. “We always enjoy sitting on either patio and the heater lamps made it very comfortable. Our server was very pleasant and provided excellent service. The bus staff is always courteous and professional. The charcuterie board is a favorite of ours and is beautifully presented and delicious, especially the honey, a nice touch. My son always orders the steak, which is consistently cooked to perfection. A wonderful dining experience except for the table next to us which was conducting a loud FaceTime call , rude and lacking in consideration for others around them. Didn't stop us from enjoying our wonderful meal and great service.“

“Carrara’s is one of my favorite places to go to! It’s one of the most authentic Italian cafes I’ve been to out here. The coffee is so good and the pastries don’t just look pretty, but they’re actually delicious. Everyone who works here is so nice and goes above and beyond! I wish I knew everyone’s names but from going there as often as I do I can honestly say Tallin, Danica, Alir, Sarah and really just the whole staff is so sweet and they make you feel so welcomed! Alir makes some of the best lattes I’ve ever had and Tallin decorates the foam on the lattes and the desserts in a beautiful way! I love everything about this place and would highly recommend :)“

The atmosphere is open, inviting, warm and has a great combination of Mexican blues, warm tones, and wrought iron.I’ve never been here before as Whizzin Market is a little out of the way for me.But in spite of all the reasons it should have all been in the feel good category, my lunch went another direction.I had originally thought to order one of the bowls which cater to veggie, meat, or fish prefs. The Jidori Chicken Bowl seemed my speed which I asked about. My server, Cruz asked if I wanted the roast chicken or the bowl?Roast Chicken is my comfort food and I lost my mind for a beat. Then committed a classic amateur restaurant goer move:The panic order.“Roasted, please,” I heard myself say. Cruz refilled my coffee and disappeared. The dice now rolled, I waited.The chicken was good. No, not just good, but magnificent. So good I felt a mix of relief, surprise and annoyance. None of this was directed at the staff, Basta’s management, or the even the poor chicken.First, being from a small town in Indiana originally, I’ve eaten chicken at least 23x a week since 1970 and I’ve never tasted chicken like this. From the light golden sauce to crispy skin, it was ideally cooked and served immediately. I had no idea. No exaggerating.Second, that this lunch in terms of price point is a super value. Check the menu when you stop in, but you’ll find Basta a wonderful value for the level of care and attention to it all.All that to say, I’m so mad I haven’t been here earlier. Regardless of the distance, it should have been on my list.Consider yourself warned you may feel the same.Parking: Get here early if Canyon Club has a show.“

I had the Filet with mushroom sauce which was exceptional, tender and seasoned to perfection. The mushroom risotto was AMAZING! I also sampled the Blackened fillet with pepper corn sauce and the ribeye with mushroom wine sauce. Hands down the best food and service in Simi Valley and their prices are very reasonable. We dined in and ordered the family sized baked ziti, a regular sized meatless Italian salad, garlic knots with marinara sauce, and a large canola for dessert.The ziti was rich and cooked perfectly and tasted so good! The family portion was way more food than we needed for 2 adults and a child, though. The regular size would have fed us all.The meatless Italian salad was fresh and included romaine lettuce, mozzarella cheese, olives, tomatoes, and pepperoncinis. The Italian dressing was served on the side and it was all delicious.I ordered an 805 draft beer, which came in a cold glass. So good!The canoli was rich, creamy, crispy with a bit of chocolate drizzle on the plate. It tasted authentic and really good!The prices at D'Amore's Pizza are very reasonable, especially considering that we had a family portion of ziti for $24.I highly recommend you try D'Amore's Pizza for an authentically delicious and reasonably priced Italian meal.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian menu options are plentiful.“
“I love coming to this Presto Pasta Location in Simi Valley. I’m a delivery driver and I work in many cities but every time I’m in Simi I always save my appetite so I can stop here and get me a Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and a garden salad. “I ate admin amici's and I thought there was a lunch special but $13 for scapega and meatballs very good but not even garlic bread or a soft drink to go with it are you kidding me I've never had that experience before with meatballs spaghetti they always give some garlic bread or drink something cheap cheap cheap cheap cheap you're lose in business you lost mine better off at domino's and You know so I bought a loaf of garlic bread that was like $4 so I paid $17 for a spaghetti and meatballs and some Gallic bread are you kidding no no I mean not worth it Cheap cheap cheap bike you're not gonna stay in business there's plenty of other places you get a lot more for your money and it's just as good if not better“

“Definitely a solid Italian place, and has great ambiance. They give free appetizers which is nice, and the bread and olive oil is tasty as well. My spaghetti bolognese was bit salty to my disappointment, but I liked my husband's carbonara a lot. It's a very tight space so I recommend getting a reservation ahead of time. Parking is difficult too, but there's some easy spots on ventura blvd.“
“It is very good authentic Italian food. I’ve had a couple of meals here and they both tasted great. However, they don’t have a very large menu and there were only a few things on the menu that sounded good. It’s also one of the few places I go where none of the appetizers sound too appetizing. It’s not that I think the food will taste bad, it just doesn’t excite me and make me interested in ordering it. The staff is very attentive and helpful. It’s a great restaurant, I just wish they had more things in line with my tastes.“

Since it was daylight saving time, we were guided outside to the terrace while it was still daylight.Clam chowder was delicious. The Caesar was also delicious with the sweetness of fresh romaine lettuce.I didn't really like the pasta or shrimp, but I do recommend the hazelnut gelato.“
“We have eaten here many times, and the food is always delicious. However, this time we had a reservation and we still had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. After salad and appetizers it took almost and hour to receive our entrees. We all ordered pasta dishes and they were over priced and very small portions as well. My son ordered the Lobster special pasta and the pasta portion was child size! There was also a 35.00 corkage fee, which is a little high for a restaurant trying not to be pretentious. This experience reminds us of why we don't eat here that often. The food is delicious, which is probably why we will find our way back eventually!“

From the mozzarella bar which is grilled ciabatta topped with Fig spread, burrata, and Prosciutto that they formed into roses. Everything was beautiful and delicious ? A new favorite spot!“
