The pours are generous, but those sandwiches are amazing! I recommend stopping here for the history, the brandy, the still wine (yes they make still wine!), and the market! Bar seating and outside is FCFS and we enjoyed the bar just fine. Drinks a couple nights were off the charts - I believe Nick was bartending. Other night was just average. Shrimp and artichoke dip should be illegal, it is so good. You might consider not sharing it! The steak was great. I feel the real winner is the breakfast. Everything was amazing. Salmon benedict was crazy because the salmon was so good. Huevos Rancheros was killer and the salsa was perfect. French toast kills the sweet tooth and matched perfect with the savory things if you like to share. Only downside was there tended to be a bunch of loud babies and kids in the bar and outside. That was not relaxing. Live music was a big plus.“

“The cook and the drummer is an amazing, extremely professional, well organized and resourceful catering company. They catered a 100+ event, connected me with local vendors such as florist and musicians; they know how to adjust to budget constraints at the same time they have a vision to make your event as impactful and amazing as you want it to be. Also their staff is very well trained. I highly recommend working with them. Our family celebration ended up exceeding our expectations. And the food was delicious!“

“My friend and I shared a wine tasting which consisted of three small glasses of tasting size. You get to pick the three wines that you want. Not a huge selection., but works. We decided to eat there and I got the crabcakes which were pretty tasty a spicy sauce on top, and there were bell peppers and with the crabcakes. My friend got salmon with the skin was very crispy which he likes but the inside was too rare and he had to ask them to cook it more. It came back, still a bit too rare, and we fed that to the seagulls….The couscous salad that came with it was the best thing of all. I would not run back there but if you’re hungry and in that exact area, it’s a convenient place to grab a bite to eat. They have a couple of different patios outside, and the staff was very friendly. The one remark my friend said was that if they’re going to leave the salmon that raw like they said they usually do, they should ask people how they like it cooked. He loves sushi, but it was too rare for him being that it was salmon. It was a great day to get away from the high heat of Sonoma. We went from the 90s to the 60s wearing a jacket. He had never gone by the school house from Alford Hitchcock The Birds, so we did that on the way out.“

“6/14/25 I never give five stars, especially at a diner or drive in but here I must make an exception and here's why. Nostalgia, on a hot summer evening it's perfect. Let's go to the drive in. It was clean at 2:30 in the afternoon and they get business, today's Saturday. The bathroom was clean, which is hard to find these days, I mean really clean. Here is a big one, no flies. I don't put this in my rating factor but the your gal working here is drop dead beautiful which brings back the nostalgia thing. Oh to be young again. The prices are great, the food good and hot. Daniel (Pen-for-Rent owner): "Five years after Tisza -- pronounced TEE-sa, one of our all-time favorite restaurants -- left its former location in Windsor, my wife and I finally checked out its beautiful new home in Healdsburg. To our delight, we found that Chef Krisztian Karkus and his wife Alena (who has now moved out of the back of the house to charm guests as a friendly, attentive hostess/waitress) have made their restaurant's tastefully appointed new incarnation even better than we remembered it. What makes Tisza special is not just the wonderful food, drink and ambience but the sprinkling of rare (in California Wine Country) offerings on its menu, including mouthwatering Central and East European delights -- schnitzels, goulash, spaetzle, potato dumplings, wild mushrooms and, OH YES!, apple strudel -- reflecting the couple's background (he's Hungarian and she's Czech). While we didn't manage to sample everything that tempted us in this first of what will surely be many return visits, we'd be remiss if we didn't single out for high praise the house-smoked salmon with dill mustard sauce, pickled mustard seed and crème fraiche served over potato latkes. “Wow! What a gem! If you are looking for outstanding chowder, you have to try Ginochio’s Kitchen. Best chowder we have had in California. The owner is a sweetheart who knows everything about the town of Bodega Bay.
Huge parking lot with lots of spots. Clean restrooms. Food comes out quick and piping hot.
We finally got to try their breakfast burritos and they did not disappoint. Huge and filled with delicious pulled pork.

“Absolutely delish! You can really taste that everything is fresh and homemade. I got the gf waffle (with such a nice syrup and fresh jam), eggs, and fries. I love how they cook their items in tallow! Definitely will come back here when I’m in the area again.

“One of the most beautiful golf courses I've ever seen or played, staffed by some of the nicest people I've ever met at a golf course. My only regret is that I don't live nearby, so I can't come here 3 times a week. If you told me I could golf at Augusta for the same price, I'd do it, but I'd still love Northwood more.“

“We love this place! The food is ALWAYS good; the service is always good, and we love that there is always a good band playing and we get to dance! Our first waiter was Ben and oh how we loved him so we always asked for him when we would go in. Sadly, Ben moved out of the area but then we got Danny! Another fantastic server and now we always ask for her! Can't vouch for the other servers but my guess would be that they are all good! Susie is the owner, and she is wonderful! She always mingles with her guests and even gets many of them up dancing! I hope she knows how much her regulars appreciate her! I'm so glad we found this place because we do not live out there. We live in Santa Rosa, and I must say it is always worth the trip out there for a great evening!“

“Great local hangout with outdoor seating on the River!. This is a must stop for those hot days on the Russian River. It was 93 today, but the shade with a river breeze was comfortable on the deck. They have a good selection of house brews with daily specials and a few mixed cocktails. Bar food is available, it's the normal fair. Great quality, you won't be disappointed.“
