“From being greeted by Pradstha to being served by Hugo all was fantastic. My steak was cooked to perfection (Medium rare of course) the baked potato was cooked through but not dry, and the salad bar provided a very nice fresh selection. Even two Managers Michael and Christine made sure all was well with my meal.

“We have enjoyed dining there. So, for a birthday celebration we ordered from the catering menu. We got a large butter chicken, small lamb masala, small naan, and a large basmati rice. The food was ready for pickup when we got there and everyone raved about it! Thanks Himalayan Bistro!“

“Customer service is good and the food was prepared without us having to wait an exorbitant amount of time. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered Szechuan tofu with rice and then vegetable chow mein (which was amazing) and my nana ordered salt and pepper wings and vegetable egg rolls. She claims they were excellent. I'm usually a big eater but could not finish it all. Place is mid sized, if you intend to have a large party, you will take up most of the space in this place. Tables would have to be moved together if you wanted to sit together. Other than that it is perfect for 1-4 people to grab lunch and go. They take phone orders. I'm also vegetarian so there are options for you if you are as well. Think that covers it, stop by yourself and enjoy!

Vegetarian options: Lot of tofu options or just different vegetable dishes

Dietary restrictions: My Nana can't eat beef or pork and I am vegetarian. Still a good selection of options for the both of us“

“First time walking into this spot, and let me just say—what an experience! I came in to try the oxtails, and they did not disappoint. The meat was fall-off-the-bone tender, flavorful, and not overly fatty. Paired with the Jamaican rice, which was soft and fluffy, it was perfection.

The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff shows true hospitality, making you feel right at home. I also tried one of their Jamaican drinks—refreshing and packed with flavor, definitely a must-have! The empanadas with spiced meat had just the right kick to balance everything out.

If I had one small critique, it would be the plantains—I think if they made them fresh to order, it would take them to the next level.

Overall though, this place is a gem in Oceanside. Pricing is fair, portions are generous, and the food quality is phenomenal. For me, it’s a strong 9.2/10 and an easy 5/5 stars. If you’re craving authentic Jamaican food, this is THE spot to check out!“

“This is our favorite spot to eat at after school and before practice. They have great food and large portions. Fish tacos are excellent also. The cooks are quick and amazing, plus, never have to ask for extra sauce. Also, regularly not a wait. My son loves the BBQ beef.

I don't know if I'd rush back there again anytime soon it was just okay for me .You can only order at the counter and then there's tables to sit at. “Service was slow and inconsistent. We sat almost 12 minutes before anyone came near us. We ordered an appetizer , while we waited for our third person to arrive. We ordered dinner and were served salads immediately. We were halfway thru the salad before the appetizer arrived. Minutes later, dinners arrived. while we were still working on the appetizer. Service was not the best, but the food was really excellent. The Prime Rib was perfect, but the plate was drab and dull. No color whatsoever. A piece of parsley would go a long way. I have had better service at IHOP.“
