“Nine Social is a new wine bar in downtown Brea. It is not just another wine bar. The decor and setting have many unique elements. According to Tom, the owner, they had 9 people contributed to the creation of this business. Tom is a serial entrepreneur with talent in business, art and technology. He is the guy playing the keyboard in my photos. When he was not playing the keyboard, he carried his dog and chatted with customers. The bar is his pet project. Kelly is the main server and bartender. She has a warm smile. I stopped by on a Friday evening. The music, drinks and the charcuterie board were fair. This is a place to relax and enjoy some wine or cocktail with friends. I will be back.“

“Wonderful birthday dinner here with our good friends. The best wedge salad I have ever had and I order it at every restaurant. The short ribs melt in your mouth. And a surprise birthday cake and card from the staff. The small cake was a masterpiece. I would enclose a photo but can’t figure out how to do it. Oh did I mention the strawberry lime spread for the homemade focaccia bread. The service was superb and the atmosphere was amazing.“

“I came early around 5:15pm for a weekend dinner. There is more parking than i expected behind the building. The waiters were attentive in refilling my water and checked in to see if i was doing ok. “The girlfriend and I just moved here and checked this place out as it was close to home and had great reviews.

I had the smash burger and she had the chicken sandwich; both were delicious and the fact that they offer sweet potato fries is a plus. Extra points for the ranch, which was some of the best I’ve had and I never have ranch with anything.

Bartender didn’t have what I wanted but suggested an alternative and we both liked it.

“This place is magical! Server Lalo is one of the best waiters I've ever had, Chef Sal really has his flavor profiles down! Everything was delicious. We got this risotto that came in a cheese mold, prosciutto Mellon, steamed clams, chicken parm, and the flambé! Everything was excellent! Very interesting time. The wine was good and the servers were really sweet and took good care of us. There was a local chap, let's call him Mr Surfer Manbun, who loved to talk to everyone. It didn't bother me that he could be coarse but I could imagine some could take offense. I think the staff handled him best they could and it gives me a story to tell but it did overshadow the rest of the experience a little.“

I kind of forgot the name... but it tastes like sour and sweet berries... plus the addition of basil 🍃... it makes the wine taste like a new one ~ there is a small piece of roasted food on top The sugar cane ~ gives the wine a sweet smoked aroma ~ it is very smooth and easy to drink up accidentally. So if you are not a good drinker, please consider it yourself!

If you like the summer heat-relieving feeling of cucumbers, you will probably like this very much! The wine itself is also sweet and sour ~ but the taste is lighter than the one above! It’s more like a drink that you can drink without feeling too heavy after a meal~
Overall, I really like this bar. I will also plan to go there a second time with a friend! Welcome to Irvine. Don’t forget to come and have a drink~“
