“This place is wonderful! I've tried almost everything on the menu, standout items are xiaolongbao, fresh cucumber salad, zha-jiang noodles, and spicy wontons. All of the vegetable dishes are good, but the spicy green beans are my favorite. I live in the neighborhood so I go every week, one of the best places in linda mar.“

“This review is particularly for the Ilna pop-up on Sunday nights. Maz, the chef, cooks with so much passion. He collects the best ingredients from local farmer's markets, even using his background as a wine maker to create special ferments, and shares his family's Lebanese origins with so much care in each dish. The meatball and prosciutto are not to be missed!“
“Been here few times now and every time has been a real pleasure! First time was when they were hosting some jazz artists- the wine, the ambiance, was fantastic. Every wine I’ve had here has been exceptional as well. Learned a lot about natural wines from Adela during a tasting (rotates weekly), who is knowledgeable and super friendly. Recommend you pay a visit!“

“Burlingame has long been overdue for a dedicated wine bar, and Velvet 48 Wine Bar fills that gap beautifully. Years ago, we were regulars at Nectar, a beloved spot for date nights, and ever since it closed, we've been waiting for something that could capture that same charm. Velvet 48 delivers.
Though centrally located, the entrance is a bit tucked away — we might have missed it if a friend hadn’t recommended it. We’re so glad they did. From the moment you walk in, the service is warm, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. You’re greeted with a taste of their house sparkling rosé, which is so good we end up ordering it every time we visit. That said, their wine list is extensive and thoughtfully curated, and they also offer bottles to-go.
We always enjoy their cheese and charcuterie boards — either one of each or the half-and-half option, which makes a perfect light bite before dinner.
If you’re looking for an inviting, high-quality wine bar in Burlingame, Velvet 48 is absolutely worth a visit.“

“We had Rompiballe Sandwich and The Milanese Sandwich. Our favorite one was The Milanese Sandwich even if both sandwiches were very tasty. It was very fresh and we liked the harmony of ingredients. Service was fast and we didn’t have a difficulty finding a table. I felt like I was in a nice sandwich shop in Firenze. Thank you!“

“Great, relaxing spot for a glass of wine and conversation. The wine list has a nice range of familiar and unusual varietals. The proprietor listened to our preferences and offered several tastes for us to select a couple of glasses. Simple menu of cheese boards, etc. to help soak up the wine! We’ll be back to this nice spot in Moss Beach!“

“It’s a great place to meet friends for fun food and have a glass of wine… it has a cozy interior or you can sit out on Dolores sidewalk and enjoy the lovely neighborhood. The owner and his wife make make you feel relaxed and welcome. It’s also a great date spot and the tables are set up for comfort or intimacy if you prefer- it also offers food to go! Most people who try it want to return!“

“Thank you chef Josh! Excellent experience!
Service: 10/10 we arrived early and were seated right away. The host was friendly and greeted us genuinely. Our server brought water, olives and almonds and extra olives for my wife with almond allergies so she can try the yummy olives. Amazing detail to my parties food allergies and checked to make sure the food was safe and had alternatives to accommodate.
Food: 10/10 the food was delicious. French influenced California cuisine. Fresh high quality ingredients. Sauces that enhanced the flavors and a balance of umami in all dishes. It was great that one person can have the prefix menu and others at the table can order al a cart. You can also order just one dish from prefix menu. The duck was perfect, the 3 cheeses with toast paired perfectly with the Bordeaux. The smoked trout was very well seasoned and balanced nicely with the pickled cauliflower. The hanger steak was super tender and flavorful with no dairy!!!
Wine paring is excellent. The selection of French wines is reasonable and great for food pairing.
I think the josey baker sourdough beats tartine country bread! The warm
Chocolate cookie with ice cream was delicious, the polenta cake with cream and rhubarb was shockingly good!
Ambience: 8/10 I love the simple open decor. Bar, dining and kitchen blend together. It wasn’t too noisy because the ceiling pads dampened it.
Price: $$ (great value)
Overall, an amazing neighborhood up leveled cuisine in a casual setting. We will be back with friends!“

“I recently had a delayed flight, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise when I stopped by Vino Volo for wine flights. The selection was absolutely delicious, and the service was top-notch! The guy who assisted me truly went above and beyond, making sure I had everything I needed for a pleasant experience. I left feeling relaxed and happy, despite the travel hiccup! Highly recommend this cozy spot for anyone looking to enjoy a glass of quality wine!“

“My SweetHeart and I chose Cafe Fiore for our anniversary dinner. We were delighted with every dish! I am a vegetarian, my girlfriend a very picky omnivore. The music was pleasant, the vibe low key. The waiter was attentive without being intrusive. We were able to fully relax, and enjoy the remarkable and beautifully presented food. Shhhh! Don't tell anyone else about this wonderful place!“

“We had such a delightful time at Tintos! It was a wonderful surprise to find this Persian gem on Valencia Street. The menu is unique, exciting, and full of delicious flavors you don’t often come across in the neighborhood. Everything we tried was thoughtfully prepared and so tasty. Tintos really stands out as a special addition to Valencia Street, and we’re so glad we discovered it. Highly recommended!“

“extremely bad tasting food and bizzare combinations....miffed at kichadi like biryani with no flavour and being served with aam ka achar....god knows how this restaurant got Michelin star rating ....Shame on the chefs and the owners for ripping off the customers with overpricing of the food for poor service, absence of any ambience or decor“

“Met some out-of-town friends there before they flew out the next morning. All the food was delicious, including desserts! Lamb shank, papardelli with shrimp, gnocchi with gorgonzola cream sauce, and bruschetta were all excellent. Desserts - tiramisu and cheesecake were also delicious. Service was impeccable. Will definitely be coming back!“

“Can’t believe I’ve taken soooo long to write this review. My 12yr old son and I LOVE Gratta. We’ve been fans for over 5 years!
He has specifically requested to have his 13th birthday dinner at this location. He absolutely is a fan of Barbara’s pasta and marinara sauce. Her marinara sauce is her Italian grandmother‘s recipe. His other go to is the Parmesan chicken and he always make sure to Request pre-prepared food like their meatballs and marinara And other items from their Italian market.
My go to is wine ( of course) And their Caprese Panini. I’ve also taken my mother, who can be a super picky person, to enjoy their food and she is also a converted fan :-)“

“Cannoli’s are way too sweet and I personally don’t like them. But I can recognize that this is the highest quality cannoli I’ve ever had, suuper rich cream! Very filling and satisfying to bite into.
I preferred the chocolate chip cannoli over the pistachio. The nutella latte is also very comforting 😊“

“Saw this location on yelp. Noticed their menu. Was curious. We ordered the Pulpo Sample and the Garlic Fries to share. Everything was good except the shrimp. The sauce where the shrimp was just a bit spicy even for mother. We also ordered the traditional Paella(share2-3), Slowed Braised Beef Short Ribs, the BBQ Pork Ribs and the Sea Bass. The paella was delicious, the slow braised short ribs was extremely tender and tasty but the pork ribs was a little bit too dry, and finally the sea bass was very good according to mom. For drinks, we tried the red Sangria and the Peach Sangria. The Red Sangria was good but not as strong as the Peach Sangria according to my sister in law. We all will definitely come back, especially for the Peach Sangria according.“

“Great drinks, great venue, super friendly staff.
I was looking for an after party spot after my friend's wedding in Burlingame and this was the perfect spot on the way back to their hotel. When I called, they were super welcoming and told us that they would be able to accommodate us. If the party was too big, they said they could host us in their back patio area. I loved how flexible they were.
The cocktail menu was very creative and the drinks were delicious. They also had wine and beer to accommodate all preferences. They also served empanadas all night long, so that was a really great option for anyone who had the munchies.
I got a round of shots and they were super nice to create a custom one for us. They even gave the bride and groom a complimentary drink to toast. It was such a wonderful and celebratory atmosphere. Thank you for making it memorable for us.“

“A really wonderful, romantic oasis in downtown Burlingame. All the food we ordered here was delicious. The Italian sausage lasagna was my highlight. The pomegranate and arugula salad was also wonderful. The Bolognese lasagna was solid but not as standout. The complimentary focaccia bread at the beginning was just so-so.
The staff and service are extraordinarily welcoming and friendly. I'd highly recommend a visit!“
“The JazzRoom is like the show Cheers everyone is welcome and friendly no matter what race you are everyone is welcome here, they have Karaoke on Thursday and Sunday Friday is R&B night Saturday most people have parties on that day but we still have a DJ if there is no party“

All the food I tried is delicious, but I'm just obsessed with their pork sisig. And of course they have kareoke! Lots of song options.“

“obviously a point of contention, but I find it better than the( overrated ) el farolito. the al pastor is for real, and not just tacos, they make it work nicely in burrito form too. carne asada burrito also excellent. super reasonable pricing. feels like sort of a lesser known hidden gem.“

“Glad to finally get back to Seville, great food and friendly service. Happy they survived the troubles of the pandemic“
“Date visited 08/2024: San Francisco Centurion Lounge on a Monday at 5:30 p.m. wasn’t too crowded. It was easy to find, though that might be because I had studied the terminal map beforehand. I’ve found other Centurion Lounges like the one at LAX, more challenging to locate.
Staff was quick to clean up after meals, and the food selection was good (forgot to take pics). One thing I found odd was the announcement reminding guests not to put their feet up on the couches or chairs.
Over the years, the Centurion Lounge has changed. It feels more accessible, losing some of its exclusivity. While I appreciate having access, I’m starting to question whether the $700 annual membership is worth it especially when other lounges offer more justification for the price. Just my two cents.
Aside from that, the experience was smooth, and the lounge was easily walkable from my gates. Not bad overall, but there’s definitely room for improvement.“
