Starting with the welcoming staff at the entrance. John, your hospitality is the beginning of the joyful experience. The restaurant is so elegant. We enjoyed the vaulted ceilings with wood beams. We enjoyed the large window at the kitchen area so you can see the Chefs at work. We got to sit next to the impressive wine rack display. The restaurant’s ambiance wouldn’t be complete without the soft background music. Our waiter, Issac, was a delight. He provided us with his expertise in choosing our wines, appetizers, entrees, and desserts. It was a pleasure to meet to give special thanks to the Chef, Danny Le and Su Chef, Donald. Their expertise is why we had an amazing and delicious dinner.“

“This place is a GEM. I feel like I’m in an indie film every time i visit this place. This place is so freaking cool. It has all the great classics for music and friendly locals and bartender/server. Very eclectic, warm and overall relaxing.

This is by far my favorite sandwich shop in Long Beach. It doesn’t get any better than this place. I’ve had breakfast, lunch and dinner here and they’re all bangers. I have brought multiple people here and they love it just as much! I just haven’t had their pizza and desserts here yet but i wouldn’t be surprised if that was good too. This place is ALL about the bread. Any sandwich you get, you’re going to be invited to the most delicious holding vessel your mouth has ever experienced. The quality of the meats are really good and the balance between them are spectacular. My favorite sandwich so far is the Track Suit. Warm, savory, cheesy, soft, crunchy deliciousness! And that pickled cherry pepper is EPIC. I want one right now! Can’t wait to come back and try more items.

Do yourself a favor and choose your own adventure here. From sitting inside or outside, it is always cool and nice ambiance; and you can always take it to go, the beach is down the street! They also have a deli shop where you can get cheap booze and cocktails in a can! I have also found new soft drinks that are now my favorite here.

“I’ve been coming here for special occasions and date nights for a few years and it’s an amazing place! I usually make a reservation but when I haven’t the wait wasn’t too long. I always get the Spanish Octopus, the agnolotti (which changes with the season, the sweet corn is my favorite), the halibut, and the pork chop (which is also changes throughout the year). I had the duck here which was also amazing. I also highly recommend the burnt basque cheese cake for dessert. I really like how their menu will change throughout the year too so there’s always something new to try each time I come here.“

“Love neighborhood bars, and this one was no exception. I did not rate the food because we didn’t eat and I’m not sure if they have food or not. The drinks were great, the bar is lively and there was a DJ. Super fun vibes and great crowd. Reminds me of the pre Covid days. Everyone was friendly and talkative, buying drinks for each other with no drama. I went here on a whim with my friend after the Beyond the Grave pop up bar. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but places like this are my favorite. I will definitely be back! The bartender made a perfect Midori sour, which is actually one of those cocktails that seems easy to make, but can be easily unbalanced. Definitely some pool sharks which made for a good viewing“

“The atmosphere is popping here! Excellent DJ, very welcoming people, and good vibes. The only downside is that it is a very small place for the number of people that arrive; no dance floor, only one pool table, and hard to order a drink because of the very crowded bar. However, it is a very good spot for the Black community and for anyone, of course. Everyone was so happy to be here. This was my first time visiting, and I am confident I have found a new local to hang out at.“

“My husband and I went there tonight, for Valentine's Day. We had the Steak/Salmon special. This ribeye was the BEST steak I've had in my life. So tender and so tasty!!! The salmon was wonderful, so delicious! I totally recommend their food. Yes, their prices are high, but you're getting the best food possible. And, really, on a special occasion, it's worth it to enjoy delicious food and great service!! Thank you, Verdugos, for a great Valentine's dinner!! We went Saturday night 11-9-2024 to see the tribute band Live Forever a tribute to Oasis and what a show so good the singer nails it it was like Liam was right there in the flesh. The bartenders are top notch very attentive always making sure you don't have an empty drink. And they know How to pour and me she drinks properly. The owner is a cool guy and old skate boarder he's not that old but he was telling me about the bad it's a family business very cool guy. Its a fun hang all the people in there were nice. The band that night WOW great tribute to Oasis. I hope the GOOD BAR has them back. Go and support this Bar our small business owners need us.“
