“Whenever I find myself in Pasadena, I make it a point to stop by. As I step through the front door, the aromas are welcoming, the setting comforting, and with it a slew of memories rushes back. I discovered Jones in the early 2000’s during business trips to Pasadena. Through the years it became a must have visit, even during family trips. Leading the way is Rafael. He’s calm and welcoming and his presence is felt every where. In fact, during a 2021 visit he spotted my family and me, came over to greet us, and fondly recalled my children who he hadn’t seen in close to 8 years. It’s that type of personal attention , and good product, that has kept me coming back. Enjoy!“

We are by no means coffee experts, but my wife and I were surprised by the nuances in smell and taste when we tried their Deus Me Livre for our morning espresso. It's a lighter feel; almost refreshing. The morning cup feels a bit indulgent, yet not so rich as to make your mouth feel overwhelmed. We could see this pairing very well as an after-dinner treat with any manner of desserts. The best part is that this is simply a fantastic company to work with. Quick, fast delivery. Prompt follow-up to make sure we were completely satisfied. And all questions answered - when we noted that we typically prefer darker roasts, one of the owners explained that their goal was to make a medium-roast whose flavors would still hold up to a coordination with cream and sugar. It's a throwback to days where customer service and the personal touch were still important. “The staff are so nice here! It's right on the bike path and I love to ride there.

During the week, the atmosphere is so nice and cozy. It's a shared business space, which can make for some interesting people watching.

I wish they were open a little later during the summer because they are always closing just when I'm craving that last coffee of the day.

I avoid it on the weekends because the line is usually out the door and the crowd is usually pretty unwelcoming, especially if you try to ride there.“

“Very cool spot, right by a metro station so you get to see a train 🚃 rumble by when you're in their second story window. Perfect for people watching, small gatherings, and getting quality work done on a book or laptop.

The coffee was earthy, refreshing and flavorful so I was definitely going to bring a bag of their roast home with me too. And they even have 🍨 ice cream for affogatos and a scoop for a quick bite.

“I hear some British tourists talking to the hotel manager "this is the best taco place in LA."As the proud owner of a gut selectively fed with the best things in life, I ask what might that place be. Turns out, it's Tees cafe.I google the place. It doesnt even have tacos on its online menu. I ask the guy, are you sure this is the place. He says yes. They make great birria tacos.I decide to have a combined lunch and breakfast there the next day.God finds my plan too boring and I lose my credit cards the next day. I only find about it while trying to pay for my food, which thankfully I have to do before eating.I cancel my order with a light stomach and q heavy heart and join my friend sitting outside. We are both very respectful of individualism so I dont ask for help and he gracefully doesn't offer any as he silently inhales three tacos.A moment later I feel a tap on my shoulder. It's an almost comically stereotypical overweight Mexican daddy smiling with two tacos on a plate. They are free and they are for me.In retrospect, this was the only way for this mom and dad cafe to surpass my sky.high expectations. With delicious authentic tacos and hospitality I have no problem calling this the best taco place in downtown LA.Just don't make it too famous.“

Greg has always been an absolute sweetheart and a true gentleman. He listens to what I would like to purchase and he always goes above and beyond in his service. “A cafeteria with a very interesting concept, the variety of coffees and products for cafeteria at home are good, the quality of the coffee is very good as well as its preparations and its equipment, as well as a pleasant atmosphere, highly recommended.

“Oh HEY! -have you ever been blessed by St Matthew of Silverlake?! His glowing attitude is no match for his glowing skin and yet, if you do do yourself the favor of walking past the cliches of hipsterville like (can’t complain about it really) La colombe, you’d actually find a gem of a spot with this gem of a man (whose glowing attributes really won’t stop competing). And it’s this cafe. Fast with employees who care and a bright chill atmosphere that’s just right to send out all those “apology for last night, I was drunk” texts or “shoot your shot” on hinge (even tho you refuse to pay for it) messages cause the caffeine has kicked in, it’s strong, yummy, well served, and the color scheme is adorable here.
I say you switch it up and go here. I know the song of summer is “espresso” but this place has changed my identity to “Macha Lemonade” and made my heart reliant upon seeing Matthews great haircut at least 3 times a week. GO! It’s the ideal and void of cliches! V cute for a meet up or a date (ahem, men on Hinge)“

“A solid coffee shop with lots of goodies and the interior design was top notch.

I just ordered a matcha latte with whole milk and it was pretty good. Solid taste and temperature with a good amount of sweetness for the honey.

I’d definitely come back here again to try their other menu items or even stop by to get some work done at their solid patio and lounge area.“
