“I was heading to another bar and wanted to try this place out first. I drank some beers, ate some complementary salsa (the chips were really good!), and watched some sports. The place was pretty packed; the private room was occupied.

The service was great. They were efficient even when it was a packed house.

“Was walking from work on my way to chipotle for lunch. Passed by this place on the way and saw they serve breakfast. I called and asked what the options were. I heard breakfast tacos and backtracked to Madre Maiz. Breakfast taco comes with cheese and potato cooked right onto the tortilla, choice of ham or bacon, I chose bacon. Egg scrambled or over easy, I chose over easy per the recommendation of the owner(?) Also comes with beans but opted out because I’m allergic. They also have a special breakfast salsa which was amazing. I accidentally poured the entire container on my taco definitively an accident I’ll repeat in the future. Oh and try it on the blue corn tortilla.“

“It was a pleasure to stop at Rosarito for takeout and be greeted with a warm hello. The owner/manager explained the menu to me, including the red and green sauces that are made fresh every day. I decided on a chicken quesadilla with everything and a wet pork burrito with both red and green sauces. I was happy that chips were included in the order. Food was excellent; the burrito was huge and delicious. Definitely a great value.\n\nSince that visit I have enjoyed the menudo, enchiladas, nachos, and all these dishes have one thing in common: great flavor and cooked to perfection.\n\nI look forward to Christmastime, when they put out the banner indicating tamales are available! It gives me something to look for as I walk or drive by during the holiday season.\n\nIt is so nice to deal with a dining establishment that treats the customer so well both on the phone and in person.\n\nPlenty of parking nearby in both the lot and on the street. “Been coming to this location since 2005 and what I say is that their food is consistent, crew is attentive and atmospheric restaurant is much better since 2005. It's clean and run like a well oiled machine. So many options of good food to select from. Easy and free parking convenient to shop after at Ralph's and other businesses. If you have the App and a rewards member your purchases add up and you get $10 off quick. I come least few times since we know their food is delicious.

Parking: May get busy during holidays and lunch but it's worth the wait.

“This was my first time here. I’ve seen and driven by this place for years. I ordered a Torta, half asada and half Al pastor, it was really good, I enjoyed it. I also got a Pepino con Piña agua fresca, it was also really good. The downside is that their menu doesn’t have any prices listed, so you’re surprised by the total when they tell you it.“

“Some of the best tacos and service (which is weird to say for a fast casual type place) I’ve had. The cochinita pibil was my personal favorite but you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, they have samplers with 6 mini tacos and the first one I got was so good I went back to get another so I could try the rest. 12 mini tacos later, I am very impressed, full, and grateful for the staff seeming to take a very genuine interest in making sure we had a great time. I will absolutely go out of my way to come here next time I’m in town.“
