“Levo Wine in Tin City is an absolute gem. We stopped in shortly before closing with our son, and the hospitality couldn’t have been better. They were incredibly welcoming and made us feel like family, even though it was only our second tasting room visit ever.

Bret, the winemaker, is a great guy. We instantly connected over his ties to Eagle, Idaho (where my parents live), which made the experience even more special. Huge shoutout to Lexi as well. She was an awesome host on both visits and was extremely friendly and accommodating.

Bret’s wines were outstanding across the board. We especially loved the 2024 El Paso de Robles White, the 2021 Fasten Your Seatbelt Syrah (absolutely incredible), and the 2022 Willow Creek District red blend. Thoughtful, balanced, and beautifully made.

The space is clean, modern, and vibrant, and their creative marketing really stands out across social, their website, merch, and overall brand presence. We enjoyed it so much that we joined the wine club on the spot and are excited to have Levo in our regular rotation as we move from SLO to Atascadero.

“Went for lunch on a weekday. Good food, good service. But there was music playing, too loud in my opinion. Not 'background music' at at that volume level. And it was obviously a free streaming service because about every 3 minutes, you heard a minute of commercials. Then, half the time a song would be interrupted in the middle of the song with either a commercial, or...another song. About 15 minutes in, we heard the same song that was playing when we walked it. Weird and annoying.“

“My wife and went to Volatus based on reviews and we are adding 5 star. Daniel our wine guide was fantastic. Great knowledge of wines and the Paso Robles area. We went on a Wednesday so we had the tasting room to ourselves. The red wines were full bodied and are drinking very well now, and will age nicely. Daniel explained we are in a slow period ( just a few days) as the wine festival had just passed and we are entering Memorial day weekend. The vibe and energy was excellent. Cheers to the owner and all he does.“

“We had a great time here last weekend and our host, Leslie was amazing and very friendly. We tried both types of tastings and while everything was tasty, our favorites were the bourbon and the barrel aged vodka.

We just enjoyed our bourbon bottle this weekend and look forward to going back to grab a couple more.

“Friendly staff, a pup to greet you and reasonably priced for a flight. I’m a sweet cider fan and all they have is dry but the slushy (watermelon flavor) was fantastic! I’d personally like smaller tastes and more to taste than bigger tastes with fewer to select. More like 6-2 ounce than 4-3 ounce. Just my personal preference!“

Walking in, classic Italian music plays softly as one of the Perata family members greets you. The tasting menu is unique for Paso, focusing mainly on Italian varietals - and what lovely expressions they are. You’ll learn about the Perata family history while sipping on yummy Barbera and Sangiovese. You’ll want (at least) one of every bottle before you leave, guaranteed. We can’t wait to come back!“

By pure chance or maybe fate, I crossed the mountainous range from PCH and was drawn into this oasis on the roadside that seemingly just appeared. I can’t express how fortunate I am to have made that stop at Lone Madrone. The atmosphere and setting was serene, the people were the finest of any, and the food provided a top off of experience. I recommend this place rather you intend to eat, taste wine, or spectate. However, the real treat is the people who work here. I don’t know how they got this amazing set of individuals. They were so hospitable and interested in my story, as I was interested in their incredible stories as well. To Amber, I anxiously await that getaway for you and would love to hear all about it.
