“I ordered the rotisserie Peruvian chicken. It was seasoned to perfection. It comes with a large salad and french fries. The chicken is five out of five stars and the salad is fresh. The fries poorly seasoned and taste fresh out of the freezer and a true disappointment. I have ordered take out four times and I am very surprised the place very clean , a bit run down, but near empty. I believe the $27 rotisserie chicken dinner special is over priced for the local market.“
“Excellent restaurant, very clean and the food is great. Only issue is the parking, only street parking but it’s not a big deal. After eating delicious food you don’t care about it.Parking: Wish they had a parking spot, but after eating good food at a good restaurant it doesn’t matter.“
“Omg, i don't care where you've had asada fries from because this place is hands down another level of flavor. It's my first time here and I had the lomo saltado fries and an Inca cola and i have nothing but great things to say about the flavors that are throughout the whole plate, the steak in the fries was super high quality and tender as can be. 10 out 0f 10 for this place. You must try.“
“Thai place is around me house so I have been here plenty of times and is about time for a review, great location plenty of parking and amazing food my favorite is the "picante de mariscos" with a inka cola, great service and reasonable prices give them a try“
“The place it's beautiful on the back has a little place whit plant an tarp so can enjoy outdoor whit a heating system if feel cold and the ambient it's nice for Saturday dinner and the food we'll it's Japanese food it's delicious enjoy“
“We've been wanting to try this new restaurant and finally came by. I will say you will not regret it. The food is fresh and delicious. Flavors are on point and service is great. Plenty of parking. Ambiance is great. We'll definitely be back to try new plates. Michelada was yummy.“
“Came here for the first time and really enjoyed it. I didn't try any of the Peruvian dishes, but we tried the octopus sushi, grilled octopus, tiradito sampler, one of the specialty rolls and everything was nice. The dining area is clean and roomy, and the staff was nice.Definitely coming back again.“
“4++ If it wasn't for Yelp, I probably wouldn't have known this place existed. This Peruvian restaurant is located in an unassuming strip mall on a smaller road in City of Industry. I came in for lunch one day a while back and it wasn't too busy. Looks like a place that gets busier at night or the weekends. Got seated right right away. Couldn't really decide what I wanted, so I went with my go to Peruvian dish when I'm unfamiliar with a spot or have trouble deciding: lomo saltado. I thought this was done really well. The sauteed beef was really tasty along the veggies served with rice. I could've sworn there's a little vanilla used in the recipe... I was the only one in the restaurant at the time and it smelled a little like delicious waffle cone you smell at those ice cream shops. Overall, the food was great and service / people were friendly. Great neighborhood spot.“
“The place was clean and well kept. The server was friendly, attentive, service with a smile. The food was fantastic. We were a group of 7. Everyone loved their dish. My only gripe was that everything was very slow. Don’t go if you’re in a hurry. It was not the fault of the staff. Management needs more people. It took a long time for the overwhelmed server to get to us. There were a lot of customers and only one person taking orders and bringing food out. And there was only one cook. Then it took a long time to get our food.“
“Ordered 2 whole chickens with 4 sides and a large salad with ranch. Tortillas included. Asked for all the salsas, which is 3 different types. Each chicken was cut and put in a container. We got two large rice, 1 beans and 1 coleslaw. Overall, the chicken was tasty and juicy. Btw, you can see the chicken being roasted via wood logs and not gas burners, which added flavor. The rice, beans, and tortillas were on point. The salsas were good. I never got to the salad, but it was your standard iceberg lettuce. All that fed 5 adults and 4 kids with leftovers. I recommend giving this place a try. I will be back when I have a rotisserie chicken kick and need to feed the entire family for well under a Ben.“
“Very good Peruvian food, the service is excellent, very friendly, you feel at home, the bathroom is very clean, in general, everything is excellent. If you are Peruvian and you are looking for a good meal with a Peruvian flavor, this is the place ❤️??“
“I grew up nearby and I have never been and now I regret not finding this place sooner!! I found this spot on Yelp. THANK YOU YELP!! It's soooooo good. We were looking for a restaurant that was sort of in the middle of us and friends in Whittier. And I am incredibly glad we find it. Their food is really good. The restaurant had tons of seating and I love the decor, and the staff is so nice! I ordered the lomo saltado, my husband ordered the aji de gallina and our friend ordered the chaufa marisco. We were all so happy with our meals!! And A+ for a kids menu! I cannot wait to go back the next time I am in town.“
“We ordered grilled chicken, loinSaltado and sausage when they bring us the last minute orders they tell us that there is no longer any grilled chicken to prepare the sausage, and my son had to order another dish, this made me uncomfortable because I think they should anticipate this type of situation.Well, regarding the flavor, the chicken was very pleasant, the loin was not bad.“
“This place was GREAT. First time here and loved the Lomo Saltado. Not a fancy place, but warm and comfortable. Good value with their food. The man behind the counter was really hospitable and even gave us 2 complimentary drinks. I will be back!!“
“The bread and sauces were good. I had the Saltado chicken which was underwhelming. The flavor was decent, but the chicken was like rubber. I saw that it was chicken breast which might explain why it was so dry. Chicken thigh would have worked better. It was so bad that I stopped eating it. Maybe the cook had a bad day. My friend ordered the same thing except she got beef. It did taste better. I also ordered agua de maracuyá which was delicious. If there is a next time I'll try something different. I did notice other people enjoying their food. The wait staff was attentive and the restaurant was acojedor (cozy).“
“This place makes such delicious Peruvian food. I order from here on an almost weekly basis. I've ordered The lomo saltado de carne, tallerin saltado de carne, arroz chaufa de carne, arroz chaufa de pollo, and arroz chaufa de marisco. I have enjoyed all of these dishes. I either order the lunch special or a la carte. It all depends on how much food I want. What can I say? Good food is good food. And the price and portions are reasonable. I highly recommend you come here if you want to enjoy good Peruvian food. Oh, and they make it to-order, so the food is always hot and fresh. You never have to wait more than 10 to 15 minutes for your order, even when they're busy.“
“Pretty low key spot. Simple tables , kinda sparse design but clean and comfortable. Good service, but low key. Food was solid. Had the mixed Ceviche and it was solid. I'm a ceviche connoisseur, but this was comparable to what I'd generally get in Lima. On a really tough scale as someone who has tried some of the best ceviche recipes you come across in multiple countries, I give it a 7.5-8 out of 10. Really, good, deserving of a 9 out of 10 on an l LA Peruvian ceviche scale. It was served the very traditional way I don't often see outside of Peru. Good spot if you like Peruvian food. Want to come back to try other dishes.“
“Toyitos is a jewel in the city of Downey. Best Rotisserie Chicken around. I love Chicken with fries and Salchipapas( sliced hotdogs and fries). The chicken has special peruvian flavor and peruvian sauces. Don’t forget the ice cream Lucuma flavor, and the peruvian soda Inka “
“Today I was with my daughter, the first time I visited the place, I really have no complaints about the food, it was very delicious, I ordered an order of anticuchos, my daughter had green noodles and I ordered lomo saltado. The owner's attention is super good, he makes you feel at home, thanks for the attention, I hope I can return soon.“
“I ordered the tallarin saltado especial, (beef, chicken and shrimp), salsa criolla and chicha morada. Delicious flavor, the aji was spicy (just the way i love it). I highly recommend this place, service was friendly, wide variety of options.“
“Food is delicious! Prices are slightly high, but the food does not disappoint. The service is great and the atmosphere is very homey. I'll be returning in the near future.I recommend the selections below:Chicha moradaTallarín saltadoLomo saltadoMazamorra arroz con leche“
“They never fail me here. The chaufa is always good, good portions for the price & chunky. I don't even go to the Chinese spot for fried rice anymore, I go to Hornero's! I get the veggie chaufa, plantanos, fries, aqua frescas & they green sauce.“
“Ordered the Tallarin Verde con Bistec and the Jalea Mixta. The Tallarin Verde con Bistec is Peruvian pesto linguine topped with tender grilled milanesa cut. The meat was a bit chewy but flavorful and juicy. Paired with the vibrant pasta in thick pesto sauce, this was a delightful pick. The Jalea Mixta is a combination of crispy seafood and fish served with fried yucas, golden potatoes, sarza criotta, and tartar sauce. This is a plentiful dish of fried food. The mussels were nice and easy to take apart. The fried fish and squid rings were nicely done, not too overbattered and great with tartar sauce. To avoid the bloated feeling from the fried food, the purple onion salsa (salza criolla) helped to balance the flavors out. Location has its own parking lot which is convenient in downtown Alhambra. Ambiance is really nice with latin songs playing in the background. There is the option of indoor and outdoor tented seating and business picks up during the dinner rush.Parking: Observe any time limits in the area for street parking“
“The food is well prepared, service is adequate but not robust. Atmosphere is welcoming but does emphasize Peruvian culture. The philosophy is to let the gastronomy speak for itself which it does. The meals are filling and prices on the higher end of area restaurants.Parking: Parking is shared with an independent fast food restaurant. There is overflow parking behind the restaurant.“
“YummyThe tallarines verdes, large portion & worth the price.Vegetarian options: Order dishes without meat & you’ll be fine. There’s a large selection to choose fromParking: It’s in a small plaza and it had a good amount of spotsKid-friendliness: I’ve seen kids at the spot :)“
“I went to the 7-11 next door and walked past this place. I looked on Yelp and noticed the awesome lunch specials. I decided to try it out. I ordered the aji de gallina to try. They gave me the lunch special price so it was awesome! It came with bread + butter, soup, soda/drink, and the entree. It was a lot of food! I was so full even after the soup! The aji de gallina is good but reminded me of a tuna casserole. Waitress was nice and it was a hole in the wall joint.“
