“A well deserved Piru 5 star rating.These are the kind of places that I love to dine at, a mom and pop restaurant that is located in the middle of nowhere, very old school city and dwellings that probably haven't been touched since you've been alive.That being said, with the extensive menu (see my pictures), they have everything, simple Mexican food and it's just plainly good, they have all the condiments for you to spice it up however you like but the base flavor of everything they offer is fresh and plentiful.The menudo and pozole are not to be missed! I also had their chile verde which was excellent and not spicy which I prefer.Joe ran the floor and made it a great, first experience.“

“Wow this place is phenomenal. Tucked into a tiny quaint little town it's very nondescript. Plenty of parking and easy to find. I ordered the #5 - 3 taco plate. 2 carnitas and one carne and all 3 were excellent. Perfectly cooked with amazing tortillas which seemed handmade. Only negative is the interior smells a bit cigarette smokey (the food didn't). I ate outside and thoroughly enjoyed my lunch. Worth the turn off the main highway!!“

“If you're looking for a delicious place to eat traditional Mexican carnitas, this is by far the most superior spot. Dont let the huge line out the door scare you away, they move very fast.Traditional hand made tortillas, fresh food and great customer service, you can't go wrong.“

“Small place hidden within this shopping center. Food was good. The service was good. The food was served quickly. Had the flautas and the chilled relleno. Even though they were good I didn't find the food amazing enough to come back. Would recommend to try but will not be a regular place I go out to eat.“

“After 5 years of driving past this little place, we finally decided to stop. We're glad we did.Friendly service and a large menu. I had the carnitas burrito and would probably get it again.I enjoy spicy, but that red salsa was intense. Be careful.“

“I just stopped by today and had a great experience here. I got carnitas and al pastor street tacos and they were unbelievable. Such great flavors in the meat. Also the green and red salsa were very complimentary (red salsa is smoky spicy yum). Got the asada quesadilla for the kids (of course I had a bite) and was really pleased with the asada flavor too! Even the sour cream is great, homemade you can tell. The attention to quality is apparent!I am super glad because the first few times I was not impressed. Maybe I got the wrong things, and it seemed expensive, but everything was great at the service was great as well! It was only $20 and was enough food for 3 adults. Saw they have really good $12 lunch deals now too. Can't wait to come back!!“

“Food is so yummy and servings are large. Restaurant is VERY clean and I must say a secret little gem for large gatherings in the back patio. I don't speak Spanish but the staff was really helpful on helping me pick what I wanted to eat. I think they are new owners because everyone complemented them on how great the restaurant looked in the back and how good the food was. I agree ?%. I Highly recommend. “I have been to El Pollo Corona Grill, a few times both in their MoorPark and their Simi Valley locations. The food is excellent! Compliments to their chefs! I have had their chicken, tri-tip and pork chop plates. Service is very fast and very friendly. The place is clean and orderly. Often there are many people in their restaurant, either sitting enjoying their meal or getting takeout. Their counter attendants are welcoming, quick and very good at what they do helping to keep the line moving. Thank you ElPollo Corona Grill team for a great experience and place to have lunch or dinner!“

“We had a nice meal at Yolanda's. Service was great and our food arrived promptly. Seating was comfortable and our food was tasty. The sides with the fajitas were really good. Most Mexican Restaurants don't give you guacamole or sometimes not even cheese. But I got guacamole, Tomato and onions, and shredded cheese. The portion size was perfect. My son's chicken quesadilla tacos were good too.“

“This is my first time into Jerry's coffee shop and let me tell you why it will not be my last, I have never meat such a personable , amazing , funny and just all around great person staff , they are who made my experience orfa and Elizabeth are such great people and the other cashier girl I want to say Maddie but I could be wrong she had some awesome pink butterfly earrings on and let me tell you they were all delight, offered me coffee right away. When I finally got home and tried my food I was amazed orfa gave me some of his home made salsa and wow it was good , I will def come back if I could give this place 10 stars I would but 5 will have to do for now :)“

“I go here alot for their Fish tacos. Their fish tacos are top tier. ? and the prices are super cheap compared to other places. The people there are also really nice and friendly. They also have a nice little setup outside if you feel like eating outside. Can't really ask for any better.“

“Came here with my son had a delicious shrimp cocktail with octopus and abalone. Chips and salsa was delicious and homemade. Waitress Caitlyn was super nice and friendly and took care of us right away. She was very attentive. Asked if wanted to order anything else. Great experience! Plenty of parking. “It's about time I leave a review. One of the most consistent restaurants with great service and food in Simi Valley. Sunday, my family tried giving Mariachi Loco Grill and Cantina a try for a different type of menu to fall short, cancel our order, pay for our drinks and drive to Maria's where it is tried and true. What an extreme difference in experience between the two restaurants but nothing less than what it is every time we visit Maria's which is at least three times a month. How refreshing to have great service, great food (Mole, guac and Agua Fresca my fav) all effortlessly. Thank you Maria's for being authentic and never disappointing. Keep shining!“

“I am new to Moorpark. Moved here about a month ago and I have already visited here twice. The first time my husband and I went in and sat down for a michelada and some food. the atmosphere was nice and quiet. The girl at the counter was absolutely super nice. We told her we were new to the area and asked for her recommendations. My husband ordered the place with the pork chops, tri tip, and chicken and I had the chicken. OMG It was delicious. I stole a few bites from my husbands chops and they were just so juicy. The second time I walked over to pick up some take out. Again, everything was fresh and delicious. the fact that it is walking distance is an added bonus. Will definitely become a regular.“

We checked out Santa Paula but nothing really stood out, so we headed towards Filmore and discovered Los Altos Mexican Restaurant - a hidden gem on Santa Clara Street. We really enjoyed our lunch with our patio seating and delicious food and margaritas. We highly recommend this restaurant and are glad our adventure led us to this terrific place!“

“The pozole here is incredible according to my family and they love the unique taste and love coming here. I personally got the lengua burrito and I’m going to be honest here it was alright. The waitress was really helpful at making things right whenever we had a problem with our food but also making sure we were enjoying it. Very friendly staff. The inside seating is a little cramped if you come in with five plus people.Parking: The parking for this place is very cramped and holds about 7 cars without it being maxed out.Kid-friendliness: Super friendly to kids. My little sister didn’t like the burrito and the waitress speaker to her in a kind way asking what she can do to make it right.“

“Last time we tried this restaurant, on a Monday it was closed. Seems like now it is open on Monday's. It was clean and bright inside. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. Chips and salsa were brought to the table within minutes. We did not have to wait long for our order to be taken. We ordered Potatoe tacos and a Chili Verde burrito. Both were excellent! The salsa with the chips was mild. We asked for a spicier one and it was brought out. (it was spicier) The waitress came to check on us throughout the meal. Prices were reasonable. We will definitely stop in again.“

“Had a craving for tacos and decided to stop here. Ordered 6 tacos, which totaled to about $20. Tried the asada, pollo, birria, and pastor tacos. They were all so good! Just the right about of spice and juiciness. The service was fast, we waited for about 5 minutes before we got them. There's a sauce and sides bar where you can pick up some spicier sauces or some radish. This is more of a grab and go kinda place, but there is some seating inside and outside.“

“I can literally walk into this place order my burrito to go, pay and walk back out in the same 3 minutes. They do a great job rolling the burritos and all the ingredients are fresh and delicious! “Me and wife were here in Simi Valley and came across the restaurant on 4/17/2024 .We decided to go in for lunch and give it a try and I'm glad we did .We got seated right away and had the best waitress by the name of Chelsea who gave me options on what to order great personality. I ordered Ceviche which was delicious and also a Carnitasada Mojado style burrito with a Modelo Michealda delicious. The beers are cold, the carnitas, asada, verde, burritos and tacos are amazing. That's all I ever seem to eat there. My daughter only really eats their rice (she's 2) but we slip some veggies and meat in when we can. Also the tortillas seem to be handmade old school style like my grandmas made.
