“This little donut shop is in the rural burbs of Placerville, CA. I’m obsessed with their donuts. Delicious! Visually gorgeous! Cover donut gorgeousness. The family that runs it is kind, engaging, and welcoming.

I luv donuts, ever since my dad introduced me to them at possibly too early age. Over the years, I’ve had my fair share of donuts. Sunshine donuts are just darn delicious. I prefer raised potatoes ver cake, but won’t turn one down. The raised donuts are airy, fluffy with the right amount of chew. The cake donuts are just as delicious but with a cake dense ness fluffiness. And I can’t stop saying enough about the smooth professional glazing. No glaze cracks or bubbling.

Don’t let the modest exterior fool you. Stop on by… not only do they have the best donuts around, they have breakfast sandwiches, other baked goods, coffee drinks and a cold case stocked with every non alcoholic drink you can think of. Milks, juices, energy drinks, sodas… etc.“

“Dont be fooled by the purple color of this restaurant. The outside dining views were amazing!!! I ordered the combination Teriyaki entree which came with hot soup and a salad. OMG the plate was sizzling and food was seasoned very well. Our server was so sweet and the bathrooms were clean. i highly recommend this spot the next time you're in Placerville.“

“I went to Annie's for the first time today and ordered the Mexicali sandwich and fries. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the sandwich had just the right amount of spiciness to it with the chipotle sauce and jalapenos. The fries were amazing and crispy too. Everyone that works there was very attentive and super friendly. I live right around the corner and I will definitely be back to try the breakfast and mimosas. I told my husband it was a 10 out of 10.“

“Fun for a tasting! The tasting menu was vast and delicious, with a mix of white and reds. We went when it wasn’t too busy and Jeff and Mike were both lovely. Beautiful view! They have grab and go food or you can actually bring your own picnic and eat it below the deck in the beautiful garden! Will have to remember our picnic next time“

“This winery is one of the best! We visited for a wine tasting and the gentleman was so informative about the wines and how they are harvested, we couldn’t get enough of his knowledge! The wines, all six, that we selected on our own were excellent! We will probably join the club when we get home! Also, there is a picnic area that you can purchase a charcuterie board or cheese and crackers, spreads and dips to sit down and enjoy with your bottle of wine! It’s fantastic!“

“This place continues to go downhill in my opinion. We have been going there for years. But the last year we have stopped going much at all because the service is very hit and miss. A few good servers here and there. The food had also started to be not as good. We decided to try it again and for me this is probably the last time. The serving size for the price is pitiful. Especially the ridiculously small kids pizza for $12. It was burnt on the bottom besides. The garden sandwich sounded very good but was pitiful and served on a dry bun. The service was adequate but not friendly. Just disappointing again. This used to be one of my favorite places.“

I had the Roasted Turkey with French Brie + Peach Jam, Spring Greens on Ciabatta, and WOW. The flavor combo was perfection; savory, creamy, slightly sweet, and so fresh. The peach jam with the brie took it to another level, and the ciabatta was perfectly toasted. You can tell they really care about quality ingredients and presentation. This is the kind of place you go once and immediately start thinking about what you’ll order next time. If you’re anywhere near Camino, this is a must-stop. 🥪✨“

“There are many Mexican food restaurants but this is one of 2 that we highly recommend in Placerville. El Carnival has so many great options to choose from, we appreciate their specials, too. Every time we eat here, the food never disappoints, no matter what we order. Today was a quick lunch... the chicken taquitos and carnitas were delicious. Try the carnitas, so good. The complimentary chip/salsa bar offers a variety of heat levels. They also have a good variety of beers and bottle drinks, plus fountain drinks. The restaurant is always well staffed & the staff are friendly. There is indoor or patio areas for dining. Three restaurant is we'll designed and decorate, and kept clean.“

“Taphouse is one of those super underrated gems of placerville! Although I worked there, the main reason I actually applied for a job was because of the great food, and amazing atmosphere. As a former employee, it’s still one of my absolute favorites to visit.“

Only to be told at the register that they’ve run out. So, we settled with a dozen assorted donuts 🍩 to take home. Donuts were pricey ($2.50 each), tasteless and nasty. Will be sticking with Krispy Kreme and nearby donuts shops elsewhere.“

“Love, love, love this place! The bagels are always fresh and amazing, and the coffees are just as good. The ladies who work here are the sweetest they’re always kind, welcoming, and ready with great suggestions.

They also offer a bagel bar for events, which is so fun and unique to our area. Overall, just an amazing spot with great food, great service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere!“

“Unbelievable food! I am so excited to have discovered this foothill gem on a whim. The Place is a little out of the way, but WELL worth the trip. It wouldn't be a stretch to say this is the best food in El Dorado County. The cuisine is Italian fusion rather than straight Italian, but it works incredibly well! Make sure you start with the Piemontese Bagna Cauda (AKA "Hot Bath"). It's the best flat bread you'll ever have, without hyperbole: crispy outside, wonderfully doughy inside. For main courses… take your pick. The pizza— traditional Napoli Italian style— is perfect, no matter which one you choose. The other entrees are just as good. Don’t be put off by the use of polenta in place of traditional pasta. I was skeptical at first, but the first bite washed away all misgivings. These people know how to cook! Bene, Cirino’s, Sergio’s, Three Forks… all the best Italian places in the foothills will have to fight for second place.“
