“I don’t rate places often, but when I do, it’s because I seriously love them. This place has become one of my favorite places in the region after just one visit!! Perfectly balanced and satisfying flavors and unreal quality of the dishes. Service was very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere was great as well. Every dish was even better than I had imagined and seriously just so good. I texted my friend about it after the first bite to say how amazing it was. Will be taking tons of people here!”

“I came here for happy hour and dinner. Decent selection on the HH menu which is from 3-5. We ordered the shrimp and fried ravioli which was $8 per appetizer. We considered ordering the Kobe sliders but opted for a $35 prime rib dinner which came with a loaded baked potato and sautéed veggies. I split this and 2 happy hour appetizers with my friend and it hit the spot! Just when I thought I didn’t have room for dessert I made room. The butter toffee cake was delicious and I highly recommend it!

“This is my partner and i’s favorite Korean bbq place in the Bay Area! We are such foodies and have been to many Korean bbq places in the bay and this has outdone them all. The quality of the meat is excellent (thick 👌), it’s so clean and the food is so fresh. Plus the service is top tier!

“After finding out another restaurant was closed we were limited with options for a late night dinner. A quick google search brought us to this hidden gem! This restaurant was open until 11:30 pm and the food was SO YUMMY!! We ordered the bulgogi udon, tteokbokki and black soybean noodles, everything was seasoned very well and so flavorful! it really hit the spot. Staff was super attentive and friendly and the atmosphere was really nice too, it’s super cute in there so we got cute pictures as well 😊 10/10 place will definitely be coming here again to try more dishes!!”

“I think this is ones of the better boba places in Pleasant Hill / Concord area. They have more than just drinks. I saw they have ramen and other side snacks.

I ordered a guava green tea, they didn't have just the guava green tea liquid (the ones just the liquid drink had lemon in it) so instead I had to get the blended drink one without the cheezma. The drink was refreshing and personally I would like the tea to be stronger, it was a bit watered down for me. If they had a stronger tea in this drink it would have been perfect and would have been a new favorite.

The interior is this place is modern and chic. A good amount of table but not great for big groups.

When is packed the orders can take awhile

I would choose this place over milk tea lab.”

The Ladies always carry a smile for you and their very polite.
The Weeners are always awsome and I usually get the Chilly Cheese Dog and a large soda for about $10.50.
Sometimes there is a small line but it go's quick.

“I simply did not expect to have the best bagel I've ever had on a lazy Saturday afternoon.

Walked in with my wife to a cozy atmosphere. Warm colors, good smells, the owner's kids having fun at one of the tables. Felt like walking into a home you were a guest in.

Great selection of bagels, we arrived pretty close to closing so some of the more interesting options were expectedly sold out. I went with the open faced turkey avocado melt on a gourmet pesto bagel.

The bagel was perfectly toasted, crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. Great amount of turkey and avocado covered in cheese that was just the right amount of toasted and melted. With just enough tomato to keep it from feeling dry. Topped with onion that provided the zing it needed.

Will be coming back.

“I hadn’t heard of Tugboat until just this week reading an online story about the restaurant. It’s downright difficult to find a Fish & Chips eatery in the area. Living 25 minutes from their Pleasant Hill location is an issue but I decided to give it a go. I’ll definitely be back. The menu is extensive including the likes of prawns, catfish, oysters, calamari, even lumpia. I came for the fish and stayed for the tempura style prawns combo special. At $15.99 you’ll get a generous piece of fish, four prawns and a basket of fries. I read in an earlier review the fish wasn’t cod, and I really don’t know if it was but it was tasty with a golden brown deep fried crust. The tempura prawns were meaty and prepared perfectly. While you order at the counter, the food was delivered to my table along with tartar and cocktail sauce, and ketchup. The necessary malt vinegar was already at the table. The fork was plastic but I didn’t use one. It’s a casual place and I dined alone—finger food fish n fries if you will. The restaurant is bright, airy and sunny with a very definite nautical theme from the wallpaper to paintings and accessories/ornaments. There was no trash disposal in sight to enable an easy self bussing of the table, the soda machine was out of order (what no free refills😳) but their cold box of soda, teas etc. was ice cold so all good. The location is in a small retail center (Ellingwood) two doors down from an Outback Steakhouse so there’s plenty of parking. I’ve read where some think it’s pricey, but fish is expensive so I was satisfied with my bill. As mentioned previously, I’ll definitely be back, and if you like fish and chips, I’d highly recommend giving it a try.”

Today I had the Mongolian beef... I actually tasted the wok hei. Soft velveted cuts of meat wok fried at high heat for a minute. It tasted like it was barbecued for an hour but I only have a 30 minute lunch and I got it in 5 minutes after I ordered. It is a must try, everything i have ever ordered was great and I have been here 3 times!
