“Showed up for our reservation and was given a short tour and option of where to sit. The large dining room was a bit too open, I think the room needs vertical lighting rather than all flush mounts. But back to the food and drinks- the cocktails were all so pretty and delicious. I had the Cacti kiss and Paloma, my husband the Cadillac margarita. All were fantastic. The guacamole was tasty. Could have used a few more chips. The best entree was the chicken taquitos. I could have had another plate of them. The steak tacos were tasty but the tortilla was a bit thin and fell apart. Don't skip dessert - the churros are the obvious choice. We didn't have extra time but i will be coming back and plan to order the corn bread. Overall a great date night stop, with plenty on the menu to look forward to coming back.”

“Brunch with besties is already a treat, but here it's something really special. We had wonderful crepes, Turkish coffee, and it was my first time truing shakshuka. The atmosphere is soft and sumptuous, layered with rugs and sheepskin. The staff invited us to kick back and get cozy, and you can hardly help but relax and enjoy. Can't wait to come back!”

“Ever since Jo's Sushi Bar closed, I've been searching for a comparable sushi place and I'm glad to say, The Shoya fits the bill. I judge a sushi place not on their rolls but the quality of their fresh fish and sushi rice...and this place doesn't disappoint. We got the 10 piece nigiri omakase and and sushi combo (7 piece nigiri and roll) as well as the tekka don and tempura and wvwrything was well prepared and delicious! The sake was served in a cool looking dispenser I've never seen before, which was a nice touch! I'm not in Pleasant Hill very often but I'm happy to know this will be my go-to spot for great sushi when I am in town.”

“They have a taco truck in the plaza in front of the pleasant hill bart. I went on a Tuesday night and got 5 tacos. They were so good and pretty quick too. I tried one of each meat, and they were all delicious. I will definitely be going back.”

“We've been going every Wednesday and it's been great. They switch out trucks every other week or so. Plenty of parking, there's a band that plays and there are some picnic tables as well as plenty of lawn area to sit at”

“Great customer service. Bon chon self-serve bar was alright. We liked the japchae, eggplant, and miso soup. Cheese corn had good flavor. Tofu soup was spicy but had mushrooms and zucchini so that was good. Our favorite meats that we would get again is miso pork belly, Hawaiian beef brisket, and beef bulgogi. We also didn’t try too many meats but really liked those. Thank you for wonderful customer service!”

I know they need time to cook the food but even if you call it in, you arrive and sometimes they forget to put your order in so that's additional time also they get alot of delivery pick up orders so if your hungry be cautious thinking your going to eat right away.”

The Ladies always carry a smile for you and their very polite.
The Weeners are always awsome and I usually get the Chilly Cheese Dog and a large soda for about $10.50.
Sometimes there is a small line but it go's quick.

“My wife and I went here with a couple who live in Pleasant Hills. Can’t remember what everyone had but I had sesame chicken, fried rice and an egg roll. We all had hot tea. I often order sesame chicken when trying a new (to me) Chinese restaurant as I have this often (or Hunan beef, Kung Pao beef/shrimp) and this gives me a basis for comparison. The sesame chicken was good. Service was good. I will probably go back when I am in the area.”

“Just want to give a special shout out to the manager, Darron. I get a pizza there once a week, on VIP Mondays when you can get 15% off, and this guy sure treats me like a VIP! I switched from thin crust to deep dish after about a year, and he called to make sure that they got the order right, and called again to make sure they would get my pizza right when I gave some special instructions. I think he even called me once to make sure I didn't forget to order on the VIP Monday! And the pizza is of course delicious and a great deal, so how can you go wrong?!?”

As I write this, it's $10 for 3 street tacos and an agua fresca or soda. And then they give you chips & there is a salsa bar, so that is a major plus. I have also had the nachos, which were very large, and the Chilaquiles, which were nice & spicy.”
