“Take out only Chinese food. Really good food. Quick services. Friendly staff. The prices are a couple of dollars higher than your standard Chinese rice plate but the food is really good. We really like the roasted pig. Located within the pacific pearl dining hall.“

“This BBQ is among top 3 which I’ve had in CA and WA. I like their eggplants the most. Best one ever! The wine in Chinese traditional container brought me back to the ancient times which is really fun. Only thing is that it is so busy that the server make us feel a bit rush. But their service quality overall is good.
Parking: Sufficient parking in the plaza, even during dinner time.“

“Our family has known Peni, Sherry, there kids and grandkids for over 12 yrs now. Once I saw and smelled the bbq over 12 yrs ago I gravitated towards it and have been a huge fan since. Their island q is the best on the mainland and I recommend trying it all since I don’t have a favorite. You can see the passion and love that this family puts towards sharing a little bit of their heritage through their food with all of us. I highly recommend giving it a try and definitely passing the word to others. Spend some time and say hi and you might also have friends for life. Mahalo 🤙“

“Great choices of food, tasty Chinese bbq with reasonable prices. Almost the same taste as in China. I always come to this place whenever I want a little treat at night. Recommend if you like Chinese bbq! Probably one of the best in the Bay Area.“

“Recently opened, so everything from food, service, and atmosphere is in great condition. I took the liberty to judge on everything from restroom to table bbq, to service staff. Let’s get to it. K I’ll.
There was 9 of us. 3:30pm. Perfect time to go. They opened at3:00. We did the 49$ per person. We got everything on the menu. Started with the beef bone marrow for all. Tasty stuff , if u like that kind of thing. Not so much 4 me. We continue with bulgogi, short rib, rib eye. And kept going. U cook it yourself. Service was excellent, but missed a few repeat items. We hammered them of soooo many side dishes. All in all we ate a ton ;). Must check it out once. We did Gen bbq many times, but wanted to try the next In” thing As always, post wherever you end up. Especially where u haven’t been to.
Vegetarian options: Really, this is a bbq.“

“Let me be clear my friends, my Mama, now 90 years old can cook and bake. She can make a kitchen sing the gospel, but now retired from the kitchen.
Please listen to me when I say this y'all, Cherie's Southern Kitchen can throw down!!! I called my Mama and told her about Cherie, her cooking is that good, no joke. We had the oxtail dinner and catfish dinner, peach cobbler and banana puttin. I closed my eyes and thought I was at home in Mama's kitchen. Family y'all, just like at home. I am going back for more!“

“First time here and I was surprised at how much I LOVED the pulled pork. It was nice and crispy, just how I like it! Both the mild and spicy sauces are delicious. My husband also enjoyed the ribs and jalapeño stuffed sausage. Service was quick and very friendly.“

“Yo, just hit up this spot the other day and gotta say, it was pretty solid. First off, the service was quick – like, I ordered on my phone and bam, food was ready before I even knew it. That's clutch.
They also got this cool little fish tank and some chill lighting that kinda sets a nice mood, you know? Not super fancy, but definitely adds to the vibe.
Now, the food itself was tasty, no doubt. Just a heads-up, it was maybe a tad on the salty side for my taste. And one other thing – they use bamboo skewers instead of the metal ones. Wasn't a big deal or anything, just something I noticed.
Overall though, I had a good experience. Quick, easy, and the place has a cool, laid-back feel. Would def check it out again.“

“Are you Team Hot Pot OR Team Dry Pot? If I can't have both, then I'm prob Team Dry Pot when it comes to malatang! For those who love building their own bowls, you have to bookmark this place! The concept is fun and simple. Grab a bowl, fill it with ingredients you want, weigh it (they charge by weight), then let the cashier know your pot preference (soup or dry) and spice levels.
The spice levels are serious here, so be ready to break a sweat. They have a little sauce bar too which adds a nice touch to both types of bowls. Pricing is fair here, especially if you get mostly meat, and I definitely had enough leftovers for another meal to take back.“

“We love coming here as a family. The staff are very kid-friendly. The food is good, although the traditional sushi are better than that modern ones. Their traditional sushi and sashimi are very good. Our kids ask to go to Satomi all the time!“

“Total Score: 7.10
Normal bathroom
Customer Service: 3.75/5
Super nice and helpful, easy to grab, refilled waters
Ambiance: 3.75/5
Skibidi toilet rizz was playing cuz the owners kid was here. Classic Chinese restaurant. But otherwise, there were some interesting collections on the walls. Giving underground restaurant vibes, but not quite
Meat was juicyyyyy and love the enoki mushrooms. Some of the other skewers like the asparagus and 土豆丝 could use some more seasoning though.
Wow: 0.25/1

“Since moving out to San ramon, my family & I tried finding a local decent Korean restaurant! Been eating @ Young Dong for years now, it’s probably the best Korean food in the area (besides east bay- hayward/oakland)!
Attentive staff & quick service every time. Usually 2-3 women waitressing. The actual restaurant is simple, basic tables & chairs. Nothing fancy, But always clean. Working one person bathrooms. They have highchairs for the babies. And booster seats. Chopsticks and forks.
My favorite meat is Kalbi & Bulgogi…. Always get kimchee pancake to start. They have a delicious iced cold sweet rice drink with little pieces of rice at the bottom which I order every time.
Pretty decent side dishes…. We always ask for more honey potatoes and bean sprouts though. The radish soup hits the spot also… okay I’m getting hungry for Korean food writing this now… Lol
Go visit!“

“We planned to go shopping at CVS and happened to find this store. It was unexpectedly delicious. The bulgogi meat tasted very good and the portion was large, but it was a bit sweet. The bibimbap was delicious and tasted good, and the rice also tasted good. Some side dishes were also given, which is worth trying if you happen to be nearby.“

“Today, I had the pleasure of visiting this takeout-only restaurant for the first time. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by two ladies with warmth and hospitality. We didn’t know what to order at first, and they didn’t make us feel rushed at all. In fact, they were very kind and attentive. They even offered us a free sample of one of their specialties. It’s clear that they genuinely care about their customers. And their food truly tastes like something from your favorite aunties kitchen!!
My boyfriend was a regular here before we started dating, but four years later, it was my first time going with him! It’s truly a gem. They pack the food to the brim, and it's enough to feed us for about four meals tbh. We got two lunch plates with Vegetarian Chow Mein, Fried Rice, Sesame Chicken (perfect chicken to breading ratio, and the sauce is addicting), Tofu and Eggplant (sooo flavorful), Roast Duck (my boyfriend's favorite) and cabbage, and an ice cold soda! They even added forks and napkins which a lot of other places forget to do.
If you’re looking for a lunch place that will satisfy both your appetite and your eyes, don’t hesitate to go here. The portions are generous, the flavors are authentic, and the service is nothing short of wonderful.
Food 5/5, Service 5/5, Portions 10/5“

“This was my first time trying Korean food, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. The kimchi had a delightful spice to it with a well-balanced flavor that wasn’t overwhelming—perfect for first-timers. Personally, I enjoy a bit of a kick in my kimchi, and this one delivered just enough heat while remaining savory.
I ordered the beef short ribs, and my wife opted for the beef fried rice. From the moment the food arrived, the aroma was incredible. The short ribs were flavorful and aromatic, but I felt the texture could have been improved. They were slightly chewy, and for short ribs, I prefer them to be more tender and easier to eat. For that reason, I’d give them a 3.5 out of 5. While the tenderness could have been better, the taste and presentation were still on point.
My wife’s beef fried rice, on the other hand, was outstanding. I have to admit—it was the highlight of our meal. If you visit this spot, I highly recommend trying the fried rice. It was hands down the best I’ve had, and the fried egg on top was a nice touch. I’d rate it a solid 4.5 out of 5. My only suggestion would be to make the egg yolk slightly runnier, which could add an extra layer of umami. Even so, it was absolutely delicious.
As you can see in the photos (taken a bit late into the meal), the food looked fantastic even after we started digging in. The portions are generous—enough to share, though not quite family-style. For our meal, we spent about $30-$40 per person, which felt slightly on the pricier side. Fortunately, our son just snacked on our plates, so we didn’t need to order a separate dish for him.
Overall, this was a wonderful spot for lunch. The food was flavorful, the portions were satisfying, and the experience was enjoyable. I’ll definitely be coming back again!“
