“I was in the mood for a burrito, and I thought I would try this place out. When I walked in, I noticed some people eating at a table. It's a very inviting environment, clean, with lots of menu options to choose from.
The staff were warm and friendly. The burrito was fresh and flavorful. You can help yourself to the salsa bar with warm tortilla chips. Will definitely be back. Thank you!“

“The Ranchera burrito and the flautas are super good. I’ve been to many taquerias all over the bay and this is definitely in the top 5. The atmosphere is nice and open inside and there is a salsa bar available. Prices are in line with most of the bay-not too expensive. I will definitely be coming back when in the area.“

“Very good food. We ate it up. Reasonable prices we can still afford. We shared a super burrito. They were kind enough to cut it and s serve it on two plates for us. We didn’t have to ask. Very courteous and pleasant. The chicken burrito had a lot of flavor. We’re going back for enchiladas and tacos next. Wonderful location, close to old Main St with all the shops Merry loves to see.“

“Two Amigos Taqueria is hands down my new go-to spot! 🌯🔥
The food is amazing — we ordered a super burrito and they were kind enough to split it in half for us without us even asking. The flavors are fresh, the portions are huge, and the quality is top-notch. And get this… chips and salsa for only $1! How awesome is that?!
On top of that, the vibe here is super chill. The owner is really cool and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers.
I’ll definitely keep coming back for lunch and dinner. If you’re anywhere nearby, do yourself a favor and check this place out — you won’t regret it! 🌮✨“

“I ordered Pozole to-go (Tue Nov 12, 2024). It was delicious!! However, too spicy for me. It comes with diced onions, chopped radishes and shredded lettuce. I wish they would switch out the lettuce for cabbage as the lettuce wilts in the hot soup. I had Pozole from here last year, it was not spicy. Overall I recommend the Pozole if you like it spicy.
Parking: There is a raised step as you enter, be careful. Nice self serve salsa bar!“

“Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at a fancy restaurant with a specialty in guacamole and waffles, and let me tell you, it was an experience like no other. From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was greeted with a warm welcome and the ambiance was simply stunning. The décor was elegant and sophisticated, with soft lighting and comfortable seating. The atmosphere was perfect for a special night out.As for the food, the guacamole was hands down the highlight of the meal. It was incredibly fresh and flavorful, with just the right amount of spice and zest. The restaurant takes great pride in sourcing only the finest ingredients, which is evident in the taste of the guacamole. I also appreciated the variety of options for toppings and dipping sauces, which made for a unique and personalized experience. The waffles were another standout item on the menu. They were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the toppings were creative and delicious. Whether you prefer sweet or savory, there was something for everyone. I particularly loved the waffle with fresh berries and whipped cream. The service at this restaurant was impeccable. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly, and made the dining experience even more enjoyable. The attention to detail, from the presentation of the food to the impeccable table setting, was a true testament to the high standards of the restaurant. In conclusion, I would highly recommend this fancy restaurant to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. Whether you're a fan of guacamole and waffles or not, the combination of flavors and the quality of the food will leave you in awe. The atmosphere and service are top-notch, making it the perfect destination for a special occasion or a night out. Overall, this restaurant exceeded all of my expectations and I can't wait to return!
Vegetarian options: As a vegan, I often struggle to find restaurants that cater to my dietary needs, but this place exceeded my expectations. The menu had a variety of dishes that were clearly labeled as vegan, making it easy for me to choose what to order. I was able to try several dishes, including a flavorful roasted vegetable bowl and a delicious plant-based burger, both of which were fresh and beautifully presented.
Dietary restrictions: Milk is a crucial ingredient in the making of waffles, a popular breakfast food around the world. It provides the necessary moisture for the batter to mix evenly and achieve the desired texture. The type of milk used in the recipe can greatly impact the taste, texture, and overall quality of the waffles. The most commonly used milk in waffle recipes is cow’s milk. Cow’s milk is rich in protein and calcium, and it provides the waffles with a creamy texture and a mild flavor. Whole milk is often used as it provides a higher fat content, making the waffles tender and fluffy. Buttermilk is another popular option for making waffles. Buttermilk has a tangy flavor that gives the waffles a unique taste, and its acidity reacts with the baking soda in the batter to produce a light and fluffy texture. For those who prefer plant-based alternatives, there are several options available. Almond milk, soy milk, and oat milk are popular alternatives that can be used in waffle recipes. These plant-based milks can provide a lighter flavor and texture, making them ideal for those who prefer a healthier option. Additionally, they are a great alternative for those with lactose intolerance or a dairy allergy. The amount of milk used in the recipe can also play a role in the final outcome of the waffles. Too much milk can make the batter too thin, resulting in waffles that are dense and heavy. On the other hand, not enough milk can make the batter too thick, resulting in waffles that are dry and crunchy. Finding the right balance of milk is essential for making perfect waffles.
Parking: Upon arrival, I circled the block several times searching for a spot, but all the nearby parking options were full. I eventually had to park several blocks awa“

“I keep coming back to this place. Excellent salsa and guacamole. Delicious fajitas. I like the shredded cheese on the side. I haven't seen that before. Great service. I was a little surprised at a small guacamole being $11.99 and three grilled jalapeños being $4.99. The food was delicious. There was a huge party in the bar area and the acoustics were horrible! So loud even far away in the restaurant area.“

“Vegetarian options: Wife was craving nachos randomly. Decided to look up the closest Taqueria and ended up at Taqueria El Gallo. Ordered a large-sized nachos and a soft taco. We asked both items to be vegetarian (without meat). Both were super delicious, and we have found a long-term restaurant for ourselves. Although pricing on the store menu was a little higher, but I believe the employee charged us less since our items did not include any meat. I appreciated this very much. The food was so delicious that we tipped 30%.“

“Edited in August 2025: Still haven’t been back but feel the need to give the business a fair shake. I can’t see an option to delete my previous two-star review so I’m changing this one to five, just so as to not skew the Google rating downward.
Previous 2-star Review: Tostada was yummy but it was mostly nacho dippings (beans, meat, sour cream, and guac) with less than 10 percent of the contents being lettuce. I wanted a tostada as a light, bit more healthy option, but without lettuce I should've just had a burrito.“
