“Hidden gem!! It's tucked inside an abandoned food court. All the other stores within the food court are closed. It's the last one standing from the aftermath of the pandemic. Grabbed some quick sushi to take back to the hotel.
The sushi is surprisingly very good and fresh! Sashimi is buttery and silky. Price is very reasonable, and portions are just right. Sushi rolls and sashimi were delightful!“

“We stopped here on a whim, while waiting for our car at the mechanic nearby. Welcomed with a big smile and friendly invitation to sit inside or on cute patio. A delightful mom and pop authentic Thai vibe. (Lived in Thailand for 3 years). Cute and very clean space. Food was DELICIOUS with a wonderful balance of flavors. I felt full yet light on my stomach. Lovely touch of a yummy broth soup before lunch with a mini egg roll. Excellent prices. Highly recommend for lunch dinner or takeout. No pics because we inhaled it all too fast!“

“Hands down BEST sushi in Ventura! We come here at least once a week. Highly recommend parking along the street, catching sunset on the beach, then coming here for dinner. Although everything I’ve ordered here has been excellent, my very favorites are the Avocado Bomb (the best I’ve ever had) and the Sushi House Roll. The staff are always very welcoming, friendly, and attentive.“

Overall, the food has a tasty, lighter, and balanced flavor profile that we enjoy. But talking about service, can you imagine our surprise when a waitress walked over to our table and gave us 50.00 in cash (not credit) saying that we overpaid on our last visit - a month ago! Trade out the disgusting ceiling panels, and lastly, launder the dirty cloth hanging between bathroom and seating area. “Sent my dog to the groomers nearby and had time to spare so I went here with my mom. Absolutely fantastic experience there. Portions are great and the food is so good you can’t stop eating! I think it’s really great. The people who serve the food are always extremely nice and they almost always offer you a free sample before you buy the food. For the price, you get a lot of food in my opinion. I always get their Hawaiian chicken and chow mein, so I don’t know how their actual ramen is but for a mall food court, I think they’re doing great. They’re next to the Panda Express and honestly I think you should skip the Panda Express and just buy from these people and support a family business and give them a try :)“

“Moved to Vegas 25 years ago. Miss 3 things about Oxnard - Family, the beach and Otani’s. Been fortunate to eat in some of the best restaurants in the U.S. I would choose Otani’s Fried Teriyaki Snapper with double rice over any other meal that’s out there. Otani’s was a staple for me growing up and had the fortune of knowing the family. Crave it constantly and go there every day whenever I make it back to town.“
