“I've been going to this place since I was attending Rio Mesa! I have since moved to Vancouver, WA and there are teriyaki places EVERYWHERE. None compare, still. “Hidden gem!! It's tucked inside an abandoned food court. All the other stores within the food court are closed. It's the last one standing from the aftermath of the pandemic. Grabbed some quick sushi to take back to the hotel.
The sushi is surprisingly very good and fresh! Sashimi is buttery and silky. Price is very reasonable, and portions are just right. Sushi rolls and sashimi were delightful!“

“Hands down BEST sushi in Ventura! We come here at least once a week. Highly recommend parking along the street, catching sunset on the beach, then coming here for dinner. “Very nice date I had w my husband. We both enjoyed and loved it here, we both said this will be our to go place for sushi. You get soup and a salad to start with I believe that's part of the service because we didn't order it lol so u do get what you pay for. Good portions and a very good place to go to. But talking about service, can you imagine our surprise when a waitress walked over to our table and gave us 50.00 in cash (not credit) saying that we overpaid on our last visit - a month ago! Trade out the disgusting ceiling panels, and lastly, launder the dirty cloth hanging between bathroom and seating area. “Moved to Vegas 25 years ago. Miss 3 things about Oxnard - Family, the beach and Otani’s. Been fortunate to eat in some of the best restaurants in the U.S. I would choose Otani’s Fried Teriyaki Snapper with double rice over any other meal that’s out there. Otani’s was a staple for me growing up and had the fortune of knowing the family. Crave it constantly and go there every day whenever I make it back to town.“

I think it’s really great. The people who serve the food are always extremely nice and they almost always offer you a free sample before you buy the food. For the price, you get a lot of food in my opinion. I always get their Hawaiian chicken and chow mein, so I don’t know how their actual ramen is but for a mall food court, I think they’re doing great. They’re next to the Panda Express and honestly I think you should skip the Panda Express and just buy from these people and support a family business and give them a try :)“

“Sent my dog to the groomers nearby and had time to spare so I went here with my mom. Absolutely fantastic experience there. Portions are great and the food is so good you can’t stop eating! My mom is very picky and now she’s always asking me the next time we’re going back. The service is very kind and helpful if you’re unsure of what to get. “One of my favorite sushi spots in the area - I always come for happy hour where the deals are amazing, and the service has always been incredibly attentive, friendly, and quick. Google says it's cash-only but it's not! I know their management changed recently so hopefully maybe the problematic employees other people have been pointing out have been changed. I've always had a pleasant and lovely experience here in the past few months and it's definitely a go-to spot!“
