“Straw & Spoon on Artesia is a great spot to meet up with friends for boba or açaí in Redondo Beach. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, with two swing chairs inside and Edison bulb string lights & blue sails over the tables outside. It was very clean, and the staff were super friendly. You can either order from a screen or directly with the cashier, which I recommend if it’s your first time or if you have questions. They have a restroom for customers, and there is also free parking in the connected lot, and I appreciate that convenience.

I asked if they have any drinks without syrups/sugar, and they recommended their iced tea. I went with the Four Season Iced Green Tea with no sugar & regular ice, and since it is a boba spot I added the Lychee Coconut Jellies. The jellies went perfectly with the iced green tea, and it was a balanced and refreshing beverage, with hints of rose and a delightful lychee flavor and even a similar lychee texture. I also enjoyed the quality of their plastic cups and selection of large colorful straws - you get to select your favorite color.

They let us eat our sushi from Yanagi Kitchen in the plaza along with our boba drinks, and it was a perfect combo. I will definitely be back!“

“Kate was a amazing server, she was extremely sweet amazing person to talk to and she's just amazing in general I've never tried brown sugar Boba thingys and I asked her if they were really good and she said they were and i tried it and it was amazing I haven't had Boba that good in who knows how long but other than that I love how clean it was in there sweet smells nice warm and something nice and cool to drink after going to the beach thank u so much for the help Kate. “I love coming here each visit I make. The teas they use is of much better quality than other Boba locations. And their prices are proportional to what you get. A large in any boba Utah shop is Tea Station’s regular size, and mostly made of ice and sugar. You can’t taste any tea. I have to say. if you’re looking for a real Brazilian superfood açaí experience, you’re going to love this place. It’s one of the best açaí bowls I’ve had outside of Brazil. “Very nice local location that is off of a busy street but they do have free parking. Brought my kids here and they really liked how the sandwiches are cooked in real time with fresh ingredients and the smoothies were also fresh ingredients. Not a lot of room to sit. But food is good enough.

Parking: Parking is available but it is very small so you’ll need to consider street parking as well

“If you aren't enticed by the fresh pastries here, at least come and get a yummy coffee jelly milk ($4.99) to get a slight coffee and caffeine kick. After watching a movie nearby, I needed a pick-me-up, so I made a beeline to Hamada-ya Bakery for their coffee jelly milk. The strawberry chocolate croissant ($4.99) was also calling my name, so friend and I split that so that we can still have room to get a late lunch later.

Hamada-ya has some weekday morning deals, but alas, I am not usually in the area during that time to take advantage of it. Plenty of parking in the lot right by the bakery or by the covered parking structures.“

I also have to tell you about the pickup experience which was comical. They have a separate window for pickup, but they have a privacy glass that prevents you from being seen and prevents the cashier from seeing you. So I walked to the order window - no one there - walked back to the pickup window - no one there. This happened again, back and forth, finally they just asked me if I was picking up. It was hilarious! Wondering how many times this has happened.“
