“One of the best Omakase (chef's choice) sashimi platters I've enjoyed in awhile. The restaurant has a fresh selection, including our favorites of sweet shrimp, albacore, Hamachi yellowtail and scallops. I loved the presentation with the whole deep fried head and artistic design with the tail and other special aesthetic details that made this a work of art, not just lunch. I hope to come back sometime soon!

Our server kept our cups full of green tea and was attentive but not intrusive. They even gave us a complimentary matcha green tea cheesecake at the end, with cold grapes. Definitely sit indoors when it gets breezy, but the door is open to allow for fresh air and people watching.“

“We went to Huddy's to watch Monday Night Football. It wasn't crowded and we were quickly seated outside where they had a large TV showing the game.

They were running Happy Hour prices until close that night, so we ordered a few cocktails and some fries. The atmosphere was quiet but fun, and our server was very attentive.

We had a great time and if we ever return to Redondo Beach, we will definitely stop by again.“

“This is our favorite poke bowl spot in the area because you have so many options and everything is fresh and delicious. The bows range in size so you can do a lighter bowl with a green base or go for the traditional rice if you dare. The eel here is really good and most poke spots don't even offer it. Fish is super fresh and there are seemingly endless toppings, sauces, add-on, and choices where you could do thousands of combinations. There are little things too.. just the say the kitchen puts the blows together they always look very artistic and appetizing.. other spots the bowls just aren't this pretty. If you love poke this is the place for the fully loaded style bowls with a ton of options.“

I ordered the PCH Pesto Personal Pizza, it was delicious as well as the caesar salad, the homemade croutons made it really tasty and super good. Luis is the coolest guy & made sure my lunch was tops. “I stopped by early in the morning to grab some lunch and ordered two fish tacos and two shrimp tacos. The shrimp tacos were made to perfection—fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right—but the fish tacos actually stood out even more, easily the highlight of my meal. The only small downside was the special sauce, which slightly overpowered the natural flavors of the tacos.

They serve fresh chips and salsa with your meal, and the salsa leans on the spicier side, but it’s packed with great flavor. The restaurant itself is spotless—super clean, almost immaculate—and the staff are very friendly and welcoming.

The only thing that feels a bit off is the location, which seems tucked away and not as visible as other spots. That said, the food and customer service are absolutely top-notch, and I’ll definitely be visiting again whenever I’m in the area.“

“The Green Temple has one of the most peaceful vibes around—between the lush outdoor patio and the soft, earthy decor, it honestly feels like eating in a little Buddhist temple. It’s got that classic hippy, grounded, “take a deep breath and relax” energy that makes you want to linger over your meal. My only qualm is that it’s not 100% vegan. I really appreciate the clearly marked vegan options, but it’s 2025—come on, Green Temple, you’re so close… just go fully vegan already. I had the Savory Wrap: a 10-inch sprouted wheat tortilla packed with rice, beans, garden mix, salsa, and topped with a rich savory tofu sauce. The ingredients tasted very fresh, it was super filling, and the tofu sauce fixed my savory sauce craving—I never make it enough at home. I’d absolutely recommend this spot to vegans, vegetarians, and anyone hovering on the fence and curious to try something hearty and plant-based in a zen setting. Try it.“

“When we want a fast-casual ramen option we come to Kotsu. They have several vegan ramen options, vegan gyoza (not quite as fried as I’d prefer but decent), garlic or regular edamame, and friendly service. A fair amount of seating and free parking in the garage or on the street.“

I ordered the Greek Coffee (coffee, figs, dates, cardamom, cacao, banana and almond milk) and would give it an 8/10. The flavors could be better balanced to let the almond and banana shine more than the dates.

Prices are definitely steep but the portions are generous. I could’ve easily split my $15 shake with someone else.“
