The sauce the restaurant had on it was perfrctly sweet and savory. It really hit the spot. I wasnt expecting such a good meal and ill definitely be back here with or without my motorcycle being serviced.“

“In San Fernando on business. Decided to have dinner while waiting for traffic to die down a bit. Doing a search Carbon Grill sounded good. When we got there we were the only customers. Nice little place but other reviews suggested something else and parking for some reason was non existent. Had to park two blocks away! Good menu and prices were fair for these times. Food took a bit long even though it was only us. That is a good thing since it means freshly cooked. Ordered a burger, salads and fried Yucca. Good meal overall. Clean place with outdoor patio along with inside tables. Only complaint was too much plastic used for this level of dining.“

“Let me just start by saying or family loves BBQ. We've traveled all over the south, and check out at least one spot in every city. I never expected to find a place this good, this authentic, in California. The food experience was so phenomenal. Wagyu brisket was my favorite. I'm a traditionalist, I don't like a lot of sauce. This place let's the meat speak for itself. Wonderfully seasoned. My wife was all about the ribs, and they were amazingly moist. She had me try their mustard based sauce and wow, was it good. If your in the area, or not... just make it a destination. You won't be disappointed.“

“My daughter is in her K-pop era, so anything Korean is very cool to her right now. I love Korean food, so this seemed like a good fit, and it definitely was!

We came in on a Saturday, and the place has a casual, welcoming vibe. The people behind the register seemed like the owners and were super nice. They asked if it was our first visit, walked us through the menu board, and made some great suggestions.

My son isn’t too adventurous with food, so he got chicken tenders and fries. The tenders were huge and delicious! My wife really enjoyed the BBQ beef bowl, and my daughter loved the Galbi burger served on Hawaiian rolls. I got four Korean fusion tacos, which were also delicious. Everyone was happy with their meal.

The service was great, and they even brought us freshly baked cookies at the end of our meal. That was a really nice touch.

“The food was amazing. Got the crispy shawarma with chicken and I was taken for a ride to flavor city. Idk what wizardry they did in the kitchen but I was hooked at the first bite.

The crispy shawarma with beef was pretty good too. It is cooked with a little lamb fat, so it was slightly gamey. Not really what I like, but if you like lamb then you'll probably really like the beef.

I also got a chicken thigh plate. It's your standard chicken plate that you'd get at Mediterranean places. Char on the chicken tasted great as well as the chicken itself. I'm not usually the biggest fan of hummus but the hummus here tasted better than other places.

Next time I'd probably just get one crispy shawarma chicken. It's pretty filling. Can't wait to come again!“

“This place is pretty good for quick food similar to L&L BBQ. The food came out quick, was fresh and the people working were nice and friendly. There is limited seating and parking. We ordered the Bento. 1 Teriyaki chicken and 1 katsu chicken. Both came with macaroni, 2 fried dumplings rice and some salad. Overall, this place is yummy for the price! Will come back again!“

“My wife and I (I'm Korean, she's Irish American) ordered the real deal galbi (not AYCE) and she was very satisfied. The place was super clean and it was busy but the service was great. I actually thought the best thing I ate for lunch was the shrimp/vegetable tempura. It brought me back to my mom's/grandmom's cooking. I would be excited to go back and try other dishes. “Update, even better this week being setup at the San Fernando Brewery. Hard to beat great beer and Bbq. Added Mac and Cheese this week, did not disappoint. Brisket was great. Perfect Crust and Smoke. Cole Slaw was cut well, light and tasty. Beans had good smoke and we're tasty, although seemed like from a can. The Pickles are really good, you can just about eat them by themselves as I did on the drive home. This is just about as close to TX BBQ that I've had around these parts and a lot better than the closest Chain. Only thing missing are some Onions, different BBQ sauces (ex. Vinegary, Spicy) and a Gallon of sweet tea. Highly recommend this place. I will be back.“

“For me, the menu highlights are the grilled meats, jambalaya, gumbo. I saw how the Pit-master grilled the meats. He was very clear about no shortcuts or rushing the process.The jambalaya and gumbo were the best items I ordered today (11/11). I will definitely order these again. They were the best I ever tasted. Perfectly seasoned with high-quality meats, and very good. It’s the best I’ve ever tasted. I’ve only had commercialized gumbo and jambalaya at chain restaurants.I didn’t order any grilled meats. I anticipate the grilled meats being tasty because I tasted some of the meat in my gumbo and jambalaya at it was good and cooked to perfection.The sides were disappointing and I will not order again:Mac and Cheese:A little dry. Too much salt, too much unmelted cheese. Lacked a creamy inside. The bottom and top were just globs of unmelted cheese. Will not order again.Collard Greens:Tasted bland as if from a can. Mixed with spinach and mainly tasted like spinach. Will not order again. I added the greens to my gumbo so I didn’t waste them. Let’s be clear, the greens weren’t horrible. I grew up picking and eating freshly picked collards so I have high standards for greens.Red Beans & Rice:Beans were cold and tasted like they were from a can. Not the Louisiana red beans and rice I was expecting at all. Rice was undercooked with a slight crunch. I added the rice to my gumbo when I reheated it on the stove. I will figure out what to do with the beans.Customer service was good. The lady was very attentive and went above and beyond to ensure every customer was taken care of. She even gave out peanut butter cookies while we waited. Bring your patience as this is a small-scale (lean) food-service establishment.I spent $30 for 2 half orders of gumbo and jambalaya ($10 each), and 3 sides. I probably could have saved a few dollars if I ordered a veggie plate. It was a little pricey for the portion sizes. I charge it to the gumbo and jambalaya which was $10 each and served in 8oz containers. I usually pay $8 for 12oz or 16oz of soup.On a positive note, I got to sample the menu. I know what I like and don’t like. I don’t expect to like every menu item at any restaurant. Bottomline, I will go again.“

“Black bean fish was superb! It came out hot and fresh in the fish was so fluffy and flavorful in the sauce. It was delightful. I grew up ordering house special fried rice, but my husband prefers chicken fried rice. Most times I’m disappointed and longing for my childhood staple but this chicken fried rice was actually flavorful and delicious. The chicken was very fresh and tender. Now, unfortunately, I ordered the roast duck and roast pork plate and left most of it on the table. It may be because it was the end of the day, but it was very lackluster. It tasted stale. The skin was not crispy and we almost asked to have it taken off the bill, but I did eat a lot of the duck so we just know not to order it again. The duck was at least edible. The pork was not. It was just so dry and lacked flavor. The skin looked crispy, but it was not crispy at all. It was leathery.“
