“So glad we found this place! Their menu was one of the most extensive menus I have seen in an Indian restaurant, and I have eaten at my fair share. The food was so delicious, it definitely hit the spot! If I were to critique it a little it would be the fact that they do not automatically include rice (and free refills of rice) with all their entrees. That was also something different from every Indian restaurant I have been to so far. I have been to one that charges extra for additional sauce, but never for rice.“

It had big cubes of soft Pakistani cheese in a tomato based cream sauce with finely chopped ginger. Fabulous. We also enjoyed a grilled eggplant with a Persian yogurt cultured from sheep and goat milks. The butter chicken was exceptional: he grills his chicken, chops it, then adds the juicy chunks of meat into his delectable sauce. His ground beef kabob was juicy and tender. I enjoyed an inhouse, freshly made mango lassi. Wow! We have enough leftover to enjoy a shared lunch tomorrow.“

“Tried Mantra in Folsom recently and really liked the vibe—nice, warm ambience that makes it easy to sit and enjoy your meal. The food was honestly the best part. The samosa chaat was a standout, super flavorful and well put together. Both the masala dosa and rava onion masala dosa were spot on—crispy, fresh, and really satisfying. I especially loved the peanut chutney, it had way more flavor compared to the sambhar for me. Service was okay, not bad but could definitely be a bit more attentive. Still, I’d go back for the food without a doubt.“

“The food tasted great and customer service was great. What i did not appreciate was the fact that we went to the buffet and my teenage son wanted to treat us well not knowing they had a table with dessert we asked if for everyone with buffet they said yes. When my son went to pay what was supposed to be $60 for 3 buffets was $85 because each item was individually priced on the dessert. Also they ran out of the meat that his friend enjoyed eating so he didn't get the full enjoyment of the buffet. They stated they would make sure not to run out we could come back tomorrow but at $85 that is way too much.“

“I don't even know what to say about Namaste foods other than I've never had anything that I didn't like from there. the food tastes wonderful. I was just at Sac Yard brewing where your truck was and had the samosas and the butter chicken fries and everything was hot fresh and tasty. the food is very gourmet tasting. fresh, hot and very well prepared!! “My friend and I had the chicken tikka masala lunch special. Plenty of food and fresh & smelled amazing. All was good, the beans, yogurt sauce were great. The nanny bread was the star, fresh, warm, and soft, so yummy. The chicken was spicy and had small bones to pick through but not bad. I had a hard time with the heat of the curry, but my sinuses are clear! The staff were friendly and the restaurant was very clean. I would go again.“

“I grew up in the UK and have been to a lot of Indian restaurants. This place was very good. The food came out piping hot and fresh. The serving size was generous, specifically there was a lot of paneer in my radiant gold curry. It came with rice and I ordered a butter naan on the side. The owner was so personable and welcoming. I’m visiting from out of town but look forward to coming back here and hopefully bringing family to share the experience.

The food was delicious and tasted homemade. This place also has such a nostalgic feeling to it.
