“Other than how busy it always is, the line moves fast. The employees were rude at closing upon my request for the last cheese Rangoon, I was told I would have to pay double price! Unbelievable!Kid-friendliness: Always kids in the building enjoying!“
“Absolutely delicious! The menu is huge and the food was wonderful, with huge portions--and an excellent selection of vegan options. Service was excellent, and staff is very knowledgeable about vegan food. The setting is lovely and peaceful, with a fountain at the entrance. This restaurant is a hidden gem. Don't miss it if you're in the Santa Rosa area.“
“Hidden gem in Santa Rosa. Food was delicious. We ordered cherry crispy pork, orange sesame beef, war wanton soup, happy family, po-po flaming platter and all were great. Our favorite was the orange sesame beef because it was just with the right amount of batter (lightly battered) to make it crispy but tender beef. Highly recommend!Parking: But after 6pm, it was free. You can park behind the restaurant or around the streets.“
“Went with my family for the first time for my birthday and we had a great time!We got there just before 6pm and it was empty but by the time we left the restaurant was almost full so you may want to consider a reservation on weekends. We ordered way too much because we expected the portions to be smaller and were pleasantly surprised! Apps we got the green onion pancakes, pork potstickers, and bbq pork buns. The pancakes were a thick, fluffy pastry dough that was super crispy on the outside. I loved these! The potstickers were HUGE. You could easily make a light meal out of an order. For our mains we got spicy basil chicken, Manchurian beef, general's chicken, bbq pork fried rice, and spicy and hot string beans. I didn't find anything particularly spicy or notice any numbing spice from Szechuan peppercorns (granted I am getting over a cold lol). That said we loved our meal! For 4 people we ordered WAY too much but happily took it home. Overall we all loved the string beans (has a delicious garlicky sauce), Manchurian beef (fried and has a sweeter sauce), and general's chicken (fried with a savory/salty sauce). We loved that the rice had slices of bbq pork instead of small chopped pieces. I loved the basil chicken, but my family found it a bit too saucy. We also had a pot of hot tea for the table and drank probably 4 pots because it was a really nice jasmine tea, not bitter or overwhelmingly floral.Shoutout to Diana who checked on us throughout our meal, joked with us, and made us feel like we had been coming there for years. Honestly everyone we met was super nice.“
“Go to this restaurant asap- they may be closing soon! This was hands down the best Chinese food we've had in years. The owner was our server and he was amazing. We had two boys with us and he kept them happy and engaged the whole time... just so sweet and he went above and beyond. We had sweet and sour chicken (phenomenal), broccoli and beef (amazing), honey walnut prawns (incredible), ham fried rice (wonderful flavor) and bbq pork chow mein (delicious). I wish we had found this place sooner! It was clean and cozy and just felt comfortable for a family.“
“I have ordered food from Hunan Village more times than I care to admit, but the food is consistently great. From their dim sum entrees to main dishes, there is nothing on the menu that will disappoint. My family especially likes Mr. Ma who delivers for them. Mr. Ma is an extremely nice man and a hard worker.“
“This is a modest store-front restaurant in a shopping center that doesn't look like much, but the food is fantastic. I had the Green Bean Chicken and the beans were al-dente, the meat perfectly grilled, and the sauce was savory and garlicky- really, really good. My husband had the combo Chicken Katsu and bbq chicken plate, and the katsu was perfect and crunchy. The servings are generous and we have enough leftovers for another meal. Service is friendly. You may have to wait to get your meal, but the wait is worth it.“
“Awesome experience and Awesome food!My wife and I are new to the area we are here for work wanted to order Chinese food and she was against it because he was afraid of what we would get I did a little research and found this place relatively close to where we are when I got there the staff and the customers were all in a great mood being very friendly and helpful one lady told me she had been coming there for 20 years and drives quite a ways out of her way because it's worth it I went ahead and ordered and she was right it was definitely worth it we will be coming here again and again this is our new Chinese food home I would highly recommend to anyone in the area to check it out the portions were great the food was excellent and the staff was very friendly it felt like we were back in Texas!still coming once a week and still loving it!Vegetarian options: yesDietary restrictions: yesParking: There is way more than enough parking to fill the restaurant three timesKid-friendliness: If your kids like Chinese foodWheelchair accessibility: yes“
“I used to frequent Silver Moon at least 3 times a week when I was living in Santa Rosa. Now that I am no longer working or living in the area, it's been quite a while since I've been back. I stopped in today around lunch time, and waited in line behind another patron. Both of the ladies who own Silver Moon recognized me and it was so nice to catch up with them. They are the sweetest and genuinely care about their customers. The food was just like I remember it. I always rave about their Pork Fried Rice! I truly think about this place all the time LOL I was so happy to be back and even though I'm not in Santa Rosa often anymore, I will definitely make time to come here again. There was even an updated menu with a ton of new offerings, even party tray options! This place has been by the SRJC for quite a number of years now. Support this awesome, small business if you can. Needless to say, I LOVE Silver Moon!“
“Simple classic Chinese. Really friendly staff. The food comes out quick, hot and really great. I haven't had a bad dish there yet! The atmosphere is really dated but the food is not. I'd say one of the best in the area and I eat a lot, a lot of Asian food. The prices are reasonable and the portions are abundant! Keep up the good work.“
“I’ve been going here for years and have usually gotten takeout, but definitely prefer eating inside instead. The experience was so much better each time. The food is more delicious. I highly recommend their house special eggplant that’s crispy, sweet and sour fish, honey walnut prawns, and garlic green beans.Vegetarian options: Great vegetarian options!!!!“
“OK. I've NEVER posted a rating on anything ever. But I feel compelled to give a shout out to Hang Ah. I dined there this evening with some friends. The food was delicious. The service very good. The decor wasn't luxorious, but perfectly servicable and confortable. Here's the thing: When we were walking out to our cars after dinner one of the waiters came running out of the restaurant shouting that one of us had dropped something on the floor. When he caught up to us he showed us a hundred dollar bill and a fifty dollar bill (they happened to be mine). Of course that was the right thing to do, but my guess if that it's also a rare thing to do. So thanks Hang Ah for shoring up my faith in humanity!“
“We absolutely love Amy's Chinese kitchen. The owner is so nice, accommodating and is always so welcoming and attentive. Food is hot and fresh made to order. The crab ragoons were my favorite. The sizzling steak was so delicious. I enjoyed everything we ordered. Recently remodeled owner was so kind to let us know when they reopened and we hopped right over there. Thank you we will be back!“
“I feel bad that after all these years of loyal patronage, I haven’t reviewed this place yet! My husband and I have been enjoying this family run restaurant for the last 14 years. This is by far the best Chinese restaurant you will go to in Sonoma County. It is authentic, always consistently delicious, and super clean and fresh. Everything is homemade and you can tell as soon as you put it in your mouth. We normally stick to the same stuff every time, but anytime we do stray, we always fall in love. I believe it’s only family members who work there and they are quiet, sweet, and always remember you. I am so thankful that they made it through Covid without an issue…They have a huge “takeout“ following. Once you try it, no other place will compare! Except if you visit China, lol.“
“Kung Pao chicken best anywhere. Lunch specials are out of this world with huge amount of food. And dinner is quite nice, a large dinner assortment to chose from and to to eat here, the wor wonton soup has so many things in it. Vast menu.Very nice family runs place.Kid-friendliness: Laid back place kids can run wild if they want.Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking very close to resturant, no stairs.“
“Great little place for delicious pan-asian food! Don't be fooled by its food shack aesthetic; it's not a fast service place! They really take their time to prepare your food but the wait is well worth it. Highly recommend the Vietnamese iced coffee if you're looking for not-your-average cup of joe for the morning. Also their breakfast sandwich is so much better than others you can get for the same price at Starbucks etc.“
“The price $ it’s cheap and the food it’s good and don’t listen to this bad reviews. it reminds me like being in New York or San Francisco. It’s just a small little place where they make really good food. You go and pick your food and you take it home!!“
“This restaurant is located in a shopping center with plenty of parking. I would recommend this restaurant for the delicious food. Every time I have ate here, there has been plenty of pick up orders but not a lot of people dining in. We always choose to dine in and the food always comes out fresh, hot, and quick. We have had the whole restaurant to ourselves two times in a row which is nice for a quiet dinner. The people who work here always are very nice and welcoming, even super funny! Hidden gem for great quality food and taste! I always order the honey walnut prawns and make it a dinner combo. The plate is served with 8 large battered prawns, with a delicious sauce. The batter at this restaurant alone is worth trying. The pork fried rice is very flavorful, smokey, and hard to stop eating. My partner always gets their spicy chicken noodle soup which is packed with veggies. The chicken wings are battered and very crunchy, would highly recommend. It's mine and my boyfriends new date night spot.“
“In Santa Rosa and noticed the China Village Restaurant, where Rita's Chinese Restaurant used to be. I was going to stop at Gary Chew's Chinese Restaurant but I always have a hard time parking my truck in the downtown area, so the Chinese Village is it. What a great decision, the food was amazing, cooked perfectly, and delivered piping hot. The service was just as amazing, as was the cost. 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆“
“Ate here on a road trip north from SF. The princess chicken was divine. The batter was perfectly fried, the garlic and honey sauce was just the right balance of sweet and savory. My wife loved her prawns in lobster sauce. Strongly considering stopping in when we drive back south to SF, it's that good.“
“Per our annual tradition of Chinese food on Christmas, we were excited to be able to order from Kirin this year. It had been many years since our last visit, yet, after yesterday, not sure why we waited so long! We ordered online around noon and the earliest pickup available was 4:50, which was perfect for us with 2 little ones who usually eat dinner around 5. When I arrived, there was a line almost out the door, just for pickup orders, however, I was in and out with our food in less than 10 minutes, a testament to the extremely busy person alone on to go orders. The poor person running take out was receiving call after call, and working through the immense line of folks coming to pick up, but they did it quickly, and well. Upon returning home and finally sitting down to eat (almost an hour after pickup) the food was fantastic, some of the best in Sonoma county. Despite their beyond packed restaurant and myriad of pick up orders, the quality was still fantastic, and the amount of food, for the price, was reasonable. I recommend a visit to Kirin the next time your Chinese food craving hits, the fact they only have 3.5 stars on Yelp is a shock to me, especially when other local spots are rated higher but their food isn't even close to the quality Kirin produces. Give it a go!“
“I have been there several times and ordered delivery often. They are mostly take out but I have dined in before COVID. I always order the same things - hot and sour soup (the best in Santa Rosa in my opinion), fried rice and chow mein. They are always good and the portions are pretty good as well. I see people here complaining about the raise in prices. That is every where now people. Come on. Try the soup and chill.“
“I had a great experience dining here. I came for dinner and all the dishes I ordered were fresh and delicious. The walnut prawns are made with a very good sauce which paired nicely with rice. I also enjoyed the chow mien and hot and sour soup. The restaurant has a nice ambiance, and the server was sweet and helpful. I will be coming here again!“
“I was hungry the other night and was craving orange chicken. I'm very picky about where I get my orange chicken. I normally go to Rohnert Park Hunan Kitchen because they have the best orange chicken I found so far. Then I decided to try this place and honestly, it's almost the same as the place I love (hunan). I am so glad to find orange chicken in Santa Rosa that I like. I will definitely be coming back here again soon. I would recommend this place!“
“It's 9 pm. You're a tired mom who fed the kids left over chicken strips, snacking on whatever remained on their plates. But then a craving for hot soup and mu shu strikes hours later, and you remember you are a human too and need to eat an actual meal. Fortunately there is one place in town still open! And not only are they open late, but portions are generous and it's delicious! Ingredients seemed fresh - not too oily or salty. Definitely will be back. Thank you for a great meal where I wasn't disappointed!“
