“If you like Mama Lu's or P P pop, this is another similar restaurant with the same type of comfort foods that you'll also like as well. And like the other two spots, this place can get packed fast for both dinner and lunch. They have great portions (peep the giant cup of lemon iced tea) and the beef noodles and XLBs are the go-to's. Stir fried udon is one of my faves. Parking can be difficult though!“

“This is a newly opened restaurant, so the environment inside the store is very clean and the furniture looks new. There are not too many choices on the menu. The Hainanese Chicken Rice is very tasty, but the chicken is slightly less umami. The Bamboo Shoots and Chicken Soup Noodles have a sweet soup base, which is worth a try.“

“The store does not use an online platform, so please do not order food on the online platform. This time, after ordering on qmenu, I went to the site and said that they did not cooperate with the platform. Fortunately, I did not pay. I ordered the Beef Knife Fried Noodles ($13.99), which can be swiped with a credit card if you spend $20 or more. There is a lot of beef and it is very tasty. The vegetables include cabbage, onions and tomatoes. Although it is a little oily, it is still quite delicious overall.“

Every skewer was perfectly seasoned and cooked — smoky, juicy, and full of flavor. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. “I’ve been wanting to try out this place in such a long time and finally bit the bullet last week. Upon reading their extensive menu, we noticed a lot of similarities with DTF but at a slightly cheaper price point , plus short wait. Everything we ended up trying was solid! The xiao long bao had thin wrappers with a rich, flavorful broth inside — definitely some of the better ones I’ve had in the SGV. The beef rolls were flaky and crispy. The lobster abalone soup stole the show — it’s visually stunning and actually packed with deep seafood flavor. The sides rounded out the meal perfectly. Garlic string beans and honey walnut shrimp were delicious. Always a hit with our family. We left SO full and happy 😁

This place does get crowded, so highly recommend visiting earlier (closer to opening time).“

“the best food I've had in LA is also the cheapest. thank goodness for this lovely couple. They have made-to-order plates and choose-your-items buffet. Probably the most amount of food you'd ever get for the price (buffet). I feel like I'm getting closer to Taiwan! :)

“Oh my gosh, the noodles, dumplings, and pan friend buns here are absolutely delicious! The service is super friendly and attentive, and even though the place isn’t in a super touristy area, the food quality and value are totally worth the stop.“

“Years ago my mom randomly came to this store after a gig in the area, and she was shocked by how good it was.

We happened to be in the area again, and my mom INSISTED on coming here. We ordered number 1 and some cucumbers. Clean, rich flavors. We got mild, and while there’s a kick it isn’t overwhelming. Numbing spice though!

Cucumbers were fresh, salty and rich on the outside and crisp.

“I found out about this place from my YouTube reels. Came to try it out with my girlfriend and we loved it!! The spicy miso is really good, the yozu chicken is tasty and crunchy. And they have some great beer here too!!Ramen. I got the Asahi beer 🍺“

“Came here yesterday for lunch with a buddy. This is the OG Kim Ky and still the best of all the Trieu Chau noodle spots. The broth actually has flavor and doesn’t need extra condiments like you’d find at other places.

We ordered the Hu Tieu Trieu Chau Thap Cam with flat rice noodle and thin egg noodle. I got mine dry with the broth on the side. We also had a Chinese donut (dau cha quay), which was perfect for dipping. Drinks come with complimentary iced tea.

The food is hands down 5 stars. The satay and pickled chili here take the noodles to the next level. But the ambiance can get pretty loud, the decor is bare bones, and the service is your standard mom and pop style. Parking can also be a bit of a headache since the plaza is so busy.

Overall, I’d rate this 4 stars. The food is amazing and keeps me coming back, but the atmosphere and service bring it down a notch. Still, this is the noodle spot I recommend to friends and family whenever cravings hit.“

“I tried this place because my friend recommended it. When I walked in, I was welcomed by the flavorful smell of the broth. I ordered the rice cake with egg, the beef sauté sauce with rice noodles, and the fish ball seaweed noodle with thick egg noodles. Personally, I really liked the fish ball noodles, especially after adding their in-house garlic chili oil. The beef sauté noodle sauce was on the heavier side and very peanutty. The rice cake was a little too soft for my liking, but it was still pretty good.“

“Consistently the best roast duck (not to be confused with Peking duck) even in SGV (San Gabriel Valley). Always juicy, tender, and amazingly tasty. We only take out from this store, but we do it regularly. I have no idea what the service is like or the physical plant, as my wife is always the one to go in to get the duck. Oh, the chicken chow fun dry is also consistently tasty, generous, with tender pieces of chicken. I don't know if chicken chow fun is even on the menu. Most places only list beef chow fun, but if you ask for chicken at Sam Woo, you get a very tasty dish.“
