“Finally got around to try out this place. Their sandwiches are ? we tried the Smoked Char Siu Brisket with the Red Curry Aioli sauce and the Smoked Five-Spice Chicken Teriyaki with the Thai Basil Aioli, both were super delicious and nice & spicy. We also got their cookies and would highly recommend the Sugarcane Passion Fruit drink. Olga’s service was ?. Will definitely have to go back to try some more!!“

“4 stars because not everything on the menu is served anymore and the Yelp pics helped us decide to eat here but disappointed that the menu is limited (40 min drive). Good service, space is clean. Spring rolls could use half the amount of noodles they put in and honey ginger tea is all sugar. Overall ok food but won't come back.“

“Came for dinner one day. Casual dumpling restaurant.
Food was generally good. A lot of strong and savory flavors.
Enjoyed the beef roll the most! The meat inside was tender and juicy, while the wrapping was crispy and flaky.“

“Pipo is unique in that it has Thai & Ramen both! I stopped in for a quick lunch in between meetings and was very happy with the food, service, and pricing. For spicy lovers, you can adjust your level and spicy actually means spicy here. Their Thai tea selection is excellent as well. If you want to support a local small business run by a wonderful family, then this place is definitely worth a stop!“

“Every time you come to or pass by Sacramento, you must come to this famous "OLD GUI LINE" Rice noodles shop in Beiwan to eat a big bowl! The boss is a conscientious businessman. Each bowl of Rice noodles is served with two kinds of meat and soup. Customers can add about 10 kinds of seasonings at will. The key is free of tips! No tips! Each person can eat very full for $15 (including tax), making every guest satisfied. Merchants must be given full marks!“

“Twin Lotus Thai has the best Thai food anywhere and that it is also a live music venue makes it all the more special and appealing. I try to go at least once a week to enjoy both the excellent food plus wonderful music experiences. Dr Joe, the manager, is the most wonderful pianist and he encourages and inspires musicians and singers to perform. Please go experience the delight that is Twin Lotus Thai!“

“Wonderful small place to get ramen. I had the spicy garlic ramen and it actually had a kick to it. Please be patient as everything is made to order. The staff had a lot of pep in their step and we're constantly checking on it.
I recommend. Sorry no photo, it looked so good I started digging in.“

“10/12/2021 Recommend? Yes. Let's get straight to the point: BEST VEGAN BUN BO HUE. That's it. I'm Vietnamese and since my vegan journey of more than 2 years I haven't been able to find a satisfactory bun bo hue. My favorite ones ever have always been in Viet Nam at a little stall in the market or the neighborhood house that makes it to sell. Here I ordered bun bo hue and cha gio. Do take my review with a grain of salt because I had been hungry for daysssss, well really just 1 day because I was on a train. Lol. The bun bo hue here comes with a paste and you should definitely add it to your bowl. It has banana blossom as a veggie to add, but in addition to that I would also love some morning glory. The broth was well seasoned and not overly sweet like a lot of over bun bo hue and the mushrooms, tofu, and "meats" have well absorbed the flavor of the broth too. The cha gio (eggrolls, spring rolls) were fine. I didn't hate it, but I didn't think they were extra great either.“

“$8.99 banh mi sandwich. Is this the best value lunch in the grid?! HUGE portion. Lots of meat inside. Packed with pickled veggies and fresh herbs. Sliced jalapeño for kick. I tried pork and chicken today--and had a hard time finishing two halves plus I have an entire sandwich for tomorrow! Pork is probably my favorite since it is flavorful and moist. Chicken was a close second, leaner but also great. Bread was perfect and fresh. Guy at the register was talkative and friendly. I saw the woman in the kitchen listening for my order. By the time I paid, both my sandwiches were ready and wrapped to go in the window. I am so impressed with their service--especially for lunchtime it was so speedy! They accept cash and card payments. And convenient bike parking right in front.“

“I’ve been eating here for several years Very tasty and delicious authentic Chinese food from Guilin. The price is also in a good range. I really like the crispy pork which gives rich texture. Beef is also a great option. Their soup base is one of the best in Sac area.“

“My favorite ramen place and I always keep coming back. While their menu may be more limited than other ramen places, I have not found a place that can beat their broth! I find the broth and noodle texture truly makes the ramen, and they nail both every time. Staff is always friendly and helpful, and i love the taiyaki ice cream for dessert. My only gripe is that i don't care for their chashu pork and usually go without it, but I'm very picky about meat, so do with that as you will haha.
Truly the best ramen place in Sacramento. Been coming here for many, many years and will continue to do so.“

“Stopped by here after climbing in Tahoe. Really hit the spot with the galbitang as it wasn't too heavy and it consisted of a savory yet delicate soup. They had a variety of banchan (side dishes) as well that really complemented the main dishes. Some of the main dishes and beers were a bit pricey as I've seen it available for 2/3 the price. But since I didn't order those, 5 stars for me with wonderful service.“

“5 stars! For quality of food. Every dish we had tasted delicious. Brought us back to OC places, and better than some of the central Viet dishes in SoCal. From the house made sauce fried chicken wings (kids enjoyed), to the ca canh chua, mango salad was refreshingly good, and the morning glory was very nice. Didn't try the pho, but kids and bro enjoyed. Bro said the banh xeo was a little hard. It just took a REALLY long time for them to prepare the food--one cook that day maybe? But food was very high quality. Friendly service. Can get a little loud inside, looks like it hosts big groups and events, they was a karaoke group in the back.“

“Remember when this was a taqueria?
XLB and Siu Mai are high quality with very thin skin. Almost overwhelmingly heavy on the five spice. Beef and broccoli had a lot of garlic (yay!), tender and no weird gristly meat, entree portion in the smaller side. The most citrusy honey walnut shrimp I’ve ever had. The lemon flavor was welcomed.
Love the beautiful jewel tone paint color on the inside. Atmosphere is cozy and casual in a romantic kind of way.
I was expecting a flaky, puff pastry-like pancake (like the kind they had at Young’s in South Sac), but this beef roll was wrapped in a tortilla. I’d pass next time.“

“I was thinking the serving and the number of dumplings were not a lot considering it was only $11 but I was wrong! There were actualIy 10 dumplings on it. I was not able to finish it so I had to take it home. It could be good for two persons as long as you’re not that hungry.“

“Tasty dumpling is one of my favorite spots I'm Sacramento. The spicy pork soup dumplings are great and the juicy pork buns are just devine (once they cool down, they come out blisteringly hot), I tried the steamed pork buns on my last trip and they were also very tasty. Service has always been super friendly and always aimed to please, everything is cooked fresh so you should always expect a bit of a wait once you place your order, it will be well worth it.“

“The food here was fantastic!
The fried pork chops were flavorful with just the right kick from fresh peppers. The beef chow fun was perfectly smoky and balanced, with tender beef and chewy noodles. And the eggplant was a standout, being so sweet!
The service is great too. This is my second time and will come again“

“Best of it's kind in the area, and more! I used to have to drive 2 hours to get this quality food, but that place isn't as good as it used to be. This is the best Chinese I know of in California!
Great prices! Each average $13, and give you plenty of food. We're estimating at least one more meal worth of leftovers we're taking home! Well worth the price!
My new favorite for honey walnut shrimp and wor wonton soup! Great decor, quiet chill oldies music, wonderful padded booths, top notch! My new #1 for Chinese & Vietnamese!
Everything is perfectly cooked, and loaded! Everything has rare flavor, not bland like so many places. The meat actually tastes like it should, the veggies are flavorful, as is the broth. All the vegetables are nicely cooked or too soft. This is excellence!“

“I stopped by here randomly for lunch because I was in the area for work.
Ordered the #16 with a coke and overall really satisfied and spent under $16
Food was flavorful and I thought was going to be spicy but had none at all.
Amount of food was great for the price.
Was seated right away but don't expect the American style customer service where they check on you or do small talk; which I didn't mind but it's not for everyone.
Atmosphere was friendly, ton of families with kids or grandparents.
All in all Id like to come back and try something else if I'm in the area again.“

“I've been to many kbbqs both around Sacramento and in K-town LA. This is by far the best kbbq place in Sacramento.
It has a very high level of traditional flavors and care for the ingredients. It's not your typical kbbq place that has strong flavors and marinades. JJs marinades accentuates the high quality meats they provide. Yes some of the unmarinated meats comes out frozen but that is how you cut meat consistently thin. Despite it being frozen you can tell they use quality meats because the brisket incredibly beefy and melts in your mouth. The thin pork belly incredible clean pork flavor. The marinated meats all came out fresh and unfrozen unlike most places in town. Their sides and cold noodles were fresh and the broth was clean and balanced between tangy, sweet and salty. Probably the best I've had so far.
Service was absolutely fine for us but it's definitely a no frill place.
Come here if you're a real foodie.“

“Nice open space inside, utilitarian feel, staff that were nice and kept things moving. Food was great, went with 3 others and all came away happy 😊. I found it hard to find as the outside sign was up high and hard to see because of the trees. It's between the old Golden 1 and a pizza place.“

“This is just like any other standard Viet restaurant where there is the common Viet menu & same dining experience. However, the food is good: Good portions & sizes & Tastes Good. My 8 yo is super picky with his pho; as in doesn't really like pho so he never orders pho but he actually enjoyed it here! Even though he had his rice plate, which was also good, he asked to eat some of his dad's pho. That says alot! I had the chicken pho which I do prefer at Anh Dao but it's still good here. Hubby said beef pho is not quite Anh Dao good but better than alot of other places. Also broiled pork plate was good like most places. Neither the pork or shrimp skewer were burnt but still had the char taste & shrimp was cooked perfectly as it was not dry. This would definitely be my go to for evening pho since Anh Dao is not open for dinner. Definitely give it a go.
Ps. My sister says when her family of 4 go, they get charged a "Dine In Fee". We had 3 of us and there was no Dine In Fee so just keep a look out so you don't tip extra if you're already charged.“

“The waiter was kind and welcoming, and we were pleasantly surprised that our furbaby was allowed inside when we dined later in the afternoon. The restaurant looked small from the outside but was actually very clean and spacious inside. Parking wasn't the easiest, but since we came right before closing on a Tuesday, we were lucky to find a spot.
I ordered the soup version of Hu Tieu (#20) while my boyfriend went with the dry version (#21). I first tried Hu Tieu during our trip to Vietnam last fall and absolutely loved it. I can’t say for sure if the flavor here matched what I had in Vietnam—it didn’t taste quite the same—but it was still very enjoyable. The meat portion was generous, and between the two, I preferred the dry version for its flavor.
The waiter was also friendly and talkative. He shared that the restaurant is now under new management, which came up when my boyfriend asked about the previous owner. My boyfriend mentioned he thought the food tasted better before, but since this was my first time, I had nothing to compare it to.
Overall, it was a great experience!“

“We had dinner for the first time the other night and everything was excellent. I was the only Vegan in our group and they had quite a few vegan options. I had for starters the crispy tofu and spring rolls, also the Pad Thai and the rice mango dessert. Our waiter was on top of things and it was just an all-around great experience. Told my daughter because she and her husband are vegan. We will definitely be back“

“Wow, we've ordered take out a few times and everything has been amazing. We finally went in person and it was even better!! I cannot recommend better Thai food. We moved here 4 years ago and this is the BEST we've discovered in Sacramento. Not too mention, they were so incredibly friendly and nice-it was such a welcoming experience. Exceptional food, super fresh, amazingly prepared, not too sweet (common issue for us), and generous portions. SO GOOD! Better get in there before there's a waitlist...honestly, everything we ordered (lamb curry, spicy basil fried duck, egg rolls, thai salad, khao soi) was amazing, we couldn't determine the best of the bunch!“

“Service was pleasant, dinning area a little dated but spacious. The food was hot and fresh. I ordered Mongolian Chicken Combo with Pork fried Rice and a side of Pork fried Egg Rolls. The Pork fried rice had NO Pork pieces in it at all, same for the Pork fried Egg Rolls. The dishes were cooked well just missing the Pork pieces. The rice had good flavor but also had dry spots of just white rice. The Mongolian had yellow onions and not green chalets but the flavor was there. Overall the food was good just needed some tweeking so it can match the description on the menu. I will visit again.“
