“We held our wedding reception at the Hangar and loved it. It was affordable, the staff were very helpful and supportive, and everyone enjoyed the rustic and historic surroundings. We stayed at the suites and cabins and found them delightfully comfortable and fun. The people working there went above and beyond to make our experience the happiest it could be.“

While the food tasted good, the dirty dining area overshadowed any culinary positives. Specific issues: - Filthy floor - Unclean tables (including ours) - Lack of attention to detail despite sufficient staff With better focus on cleanliness, Pineapple Express could provide a more enjoyable experience. “I choose to go to this spot because they serve 20 oz red eyes with four shots. I get burnt out by caffeine-sensitive baristas who make comments about red eyes and inadvertently flash implicit bias and character judgements on people for having a high caffeine tolerance. I go to school and work, and I don’t want to feel like a drug addict every time I order something off your menu. I went in today for a red eye and one of the baristas was confused and concerned about other staff historically making the normal four shot 20 oz red eyes, thinking that 2 shots was more than enough. There are plenty of drinks on the menu for caffeine sensitive people, please for the love of god leave red eyes alone and keep them at 4 shots. If I have to pay extra to add 2 shots to a 20 oz red eye just to reach the normal 4 I’ll just go to Dutch Bro’s exclusively. I like north town coffee, there are a lot of awesome things about this place, but I also don’t want to pay +$7 for a drink that should have the same kick as a $4 drink, and as I mentioned above I don’t want to feel like a drug addict by the staff every time I order something off your menu.“

“Stopped by for some morning coffee and matcha with a relatively big group. The workers were sweet and efficient. Although we had a lot of drinks ordered, they were pretty quick with making them. Coffee was solid, they also were able to make it with honey which was a major plus. Also tried their matcha with honey which was alright as well. The place itself was spacious and welcoming to be in. Parking was easy to find. Definitely will be back if ever in the area!“

“This is an awesome place to go , for a bite to eat, and a very unique selection of beers on tap! I had a blood orange brew which was sooo yummy! There is a great variety of foods being served by outdoor food trucks. The portions are large...enough for two meals! One might drive by this place, thinking it is not a restaurant, because of the appearance of the outdoor structure. I assure you that I was extremely pleasantly surprised! The place is obviously new and gorgeous inside. The space is enourmous with plenty of seating indoors and out. It is a casual atmosphere, so come as you are! I personally think it would be cool if they had live music groups on the weekends. They could showcase local amateur musicians, including say a solo guitarist
or small duos, trios or quartets. The space is certainly large enough for patron dancing! Parking is plentiful, which is also a big plus! I highly recommend this unique , and appropriately named venue for families, or a casual date night!“

“I have been going to Cocina Mariposa regularly since moving to Humboldt in January 2019. I have tried a fairly large portion of the menu at this point. Every single thing I have ordered has invariably been fresh and absolutely delicious.

For me, particular highlights are the chili relleno plate, the tacos (with habanero salsa if you like spicy), and the California burrito. If you're into Mexican breakfast, their breakfast tortas and chilaquiles are excellent. But really, order anything that sounds good, it'll probably be great!

Their agua frescas are also to die for. They are made with real juice and are unlike most of the agua frescas you'll have had in your life.

They are also VERY knowledgeable about vegetarian and vegan cuisine, and are willing to alter menu items to fit these diets within reason.

This review is long overdue, but I recommend Cocina Mariposa to the highest degree. It really is a gem in a restaurant landscape that is otherwise dubious.“

Their bagles are so good and the berry scones.... yes please. no matter how busy the line had gotten the whole staff showed grace and diligence in their work and the own should be proud to have hired such a great group. hope to make my way soon in october“

“We got the grilled halibut tacos and the halibut fish and chips and the halibut tacos were great but don't get the grilled because the fried halibut from the fish and chips is outstanding and would send the tacos over the top being fried! Get the fried fish! And the fries are very good, taste like an old school McDonald's fry! The service was quick, 5 orders to go took maybe 10-15 minutes? Were not local but we will stop here again on our way through! Only minor complaint is the fish tacos for the price should get fries with it. The fish and chips is a good portion and super good crunch! Tacos just a little to small portion for the price! Excellent food tho highly recommend! They have specials too (see pictures). And the tar tar sauce is sssssooooooo gooooodddd!“

“I fly from Boston to Arcata to visit family, and this spot is by far my favorite place to grab fresh coffee. The staff is amazing, and everything is fresh. The coffee is so good when I'm out here, It's part of my daily routine. Out of the 20 or so stands and shops around the county, this is the go-to. Thank you for the morning coffees this past week!!!
