“Stopped by for some morning coffee and matcha with a relatively big group. The workers were sweet and efficient. Although we had a lot of drinks ordered, they were pretty quick with making them. Coffee was solid, they also were able to make it with honey which was a major plus. Also tried their matcha with honey which was alright as well. The place itself was spacious and welcoming to be in. Parking was easy to find. Definitely will be back if ever in the area!“

Their bagles are so good and the berry scones.... yes please. no matter how busy the line had gotten the whole staff showed grace and diligence in their work and the own should be proud to have hired such a great group. hope to make my way soon in october“

“Anyone who’s ever gone to an excellent restaurant knows that it is required to make reservations well in advance. Expecting a very busy restaurant to answer the phone at all times is completely ridiculous because the restaurant is a fluid entity and you need to go with what decisions best serve who are already sitting in the restaurant. I find the Diver to always have excellent service and excellent food. I eat there at least twice per week and the service is always reliable and pleasant, as well as an inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend this to those who are into town whether a local or just visiting.“

So when we made it official to move to Humboldt County we went to this bar. And oh boy was the worker next door wrong. I don’t know what he considers ghetto, but this bar is definitely not ghetto!“

“I've only been in Humboldt for two years and it was my first time tonight at Bencharong with my wife. We moved from Virginia in 2021. We have nothing but good things to say about Bencharong. “This place is run by two of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. They are so doting, very kind, and generous! But the food is fantastic. We recommend the honey walnut shrimp and the egg drop soup. The wonton soup has a lovely ginger flavor, and their hot tea comes perfectly steeped already!“
