“The food was delicious and so were all of our wines, but unfortunately the servers didn't know how to handle an allergy, which left a bad taste in our mouth about the whole experience. I'm writing a review in hopes management will take training their servers about allergies more seriously! We arrived at 5 PM, so when the person who brought our food out wasn't able to understand what we needed regarding the allergy, there were plenty of staff available that could have helped out. Instead we asked that person 3 times, and then 2 other servers. Only one of the three staff members correctly informed us of the type of nut and understood that we needed new utensils to avoid cross contamination - it was a big distraction to our otherwise enjoyable meal.“

“Ever thought of trying a local small business, family restaurant. The guy who runs this place came from Turkiye in 2008. Settled down in SFO, had a family and is living an American dream.
His only complaint is SFO is expensive. Well we can all agree to that.
Food is very tasty.
We tried falafel wrap, chicken gyro and kids gyro with rice. All of these were of great quality. Plus the Turkish delight was fabulous. Owner shared Turkish tea on the house. Plus I ordered fries in kids meal but it came with rice instead. No worries he added fries and refused to take money for it. Well I made it up in the tip.
If you are south SFO and crave Mediterranean food. This is the place.“

“Nice local spot with really good food. I usually get the vegetarian Mousaka. It’s filling. I noticed that the lamb kabobs with pomegranate and rice over a bed of yogurt is also very well made. Nice cosy atmosphere for a meal and conversation.“

“Charming mom and Pop place with good prices. We couldn’t believe how big the wraps were and they were absolutely delicious. Like I was in SHOCK! First wrap I really liked since moving to SF.
We got the deluxe wraps, chicken and beef. Both were great. You can tell they take the time to do things right and they even make sure to grill the outside of the wraps. And we loved the french fries and eggplant inside of it! What a fun touch.“

“Feb 3rd 2026 this was my first time trying this place, and honestly I’m glad I gave it a try! The space is very clean, welcoming, well decorated, and beautifully colored. The seating plan is well thought out and the music added a captivating energy to the atmosphere of the place. The service is also top. The man who helped me and all the other several customers during my visit here was super kind and it was easy to tell that he had a lot of pride in the place and lit up everyone’s day with his kind energy. He even went out of his way to help me connect to the Wi-Fi, which this is isn’t really the place to do work I noticed, but he was still very kind enough to help me connect which I was very appreciative of. He has a great relationship with all of the regulars too. Throughout my time dining in, I probably saw about 10 regulars and everyone of them were happy to see the man. From their interactions, I was able to tell that there is a genuine relationship between the customers and the man as he greeted each one of them with great energy and enthusiasm. It was all smiles. He was like this with other customers as well, who didn’t seem to be regulars. Oh yeah I forgot to talk about the food! If you are wondering if I recommend the food, I highly recommend! I had the falafel plate and added a side salad. It hit the spot! I wanted to try something else on the menu so I then asked for a bowl of the chicken soup… it came with a lemon wedge and pieces of pita bread. This dish also hit the spot! It was delicious… I will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu, especially different kebabs and gyros. “Little Joey Skidmark lives just a half block away from Big Baba in that little funky yellow house, so when he asked me for a ride home from pier 3 I said as long as you sit on your jacket and keep the window down, because I don't want a stained seat in my truck. So he got a ride home, and I got to enjoy the world famous grilled chicken sandwich from Big Baba Eats! I got it without the grilling, and it was Amazing! 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆“

“Had a quick lunch where we saw a line forming out front. The very personable man behind the counter helped answer some questions about their menu. I ended up with the lamb gyro in a wrap, spices and sauces popped. My significant other got the chicken shish kebab plate, a colorful arrangement of a mildly dressed salad complimented the spice on the perfectly cooked chicken. The hummus was very fresh. After compliments to the chef, the same man provided us with some Turkish Tea, so we listened to a violin busker outside of the Whole Foods and enjoyed the brisk early September air. 10/10“

“We ordered the house combo and it was very tasty. It came with 4 meats(chicken,beef,gyro ,koftedes). All of the meat was juicy,tender and well seasoned. The rice. was fluffy ans delicious. The mixed green salad had tomatoes amd cucumber and was topped with a pickled cabbage and dressed to perfection. I only had a small bite of the pita because rhe meal was so filling. “Our party of four came on a Wednesday evening at 7:30pm. Neighborhood parking is a bit challenging due to the popularity of the area with all the businesses there, but we found a 2 hr. spot (enforced until 9pm) after a couple loops. We ordered the house sampler plate, shish kabob, beet salad, the zahara bil tahini (cauliflower), halloumi, chicken shawarma, and for dessert, we had kanafeh, qatayef, halawa o buza. Everything, including the complimentary Palestinian dips with pita chips, was absolutely delicious- fresh and beautifully presented. It was hard to pick a favorite but I really liked the cauliflower! Two members of my party ordered a mocktail called Cinderella, and they were raving about it. The food was so good that we forgot to take pictures; we were too excited. I did remember while we were waiting for dessert, so there is one dessert picture in this review.

Our server, Lina, was attentive and very kind, and the other servers and staff were also very nice, professional, and polite. It was obvious that the staff wanted us to have a wonderful evening and we truly did. It is a very welcoming restaurant with lovely decor, excellent food and nice people. The place is beautiful, calming, and has such a great vibe with relaxing music. The staff were amazing: very kind, welcoming, and truly hospitable. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating; I personally love sitting outside, but since it was raining, I chose to sit inside and still had a wonderful experience.
