“This was our first time here. We thought we'd try Tunisian food. We had the deviled eggs with shrimp as an appetizer and it was excellent! I had the stuffed peppers, and hubby had the lamb tagine. We both liked the food, and the sauces, and the bread, and finished almost all of it. We took a couple pieces of the homemade bread home with us because it was so good. We liked this place a lot, and will come again soon.“

“We got a combo doner (gyro) wrap. I am picky about doner, it is very hard for me to like if it is not really good. But this doner was amazing! Juicy, well cooked, tasty. No additional sauce in the wrap, just like the real Turkish doner! I highly recommend this place. And I’ll definitely try the other meal options in the future.“

There was a weird playing music that you can't even understand or be comfortable with. Remember you don't need to play a jazz music because you have to please customers. “The food was delicious and so were all of our wines, but unfortunately the servers didn't know how to handle an allergy, which left a bad taste in our mouth about the whole experience. I'm writing a review in hopes management will take training their servers about allergies more seriously! We arrived at 5 PM, so when the person who brought our food out wasn't able to understand what we needed regarding the allergy, there were plenty of staff available that could have helped out. Instead we asked that person 3 times, and then 2 other servers. Only one of the three staff members correctly informed us of the type of nut and understood that we needed new utensils to avoid cross contamination - it was a big distraction to our otherwise enjoyable meal.“

Don’t let the name fool you—Meditation Pizza and Gyros is actually a go-to spot for incredible Turkish food. The Adana kebap is grilled to perfection—spicy, juicy, and bursting with flavor. Pair it with their fluffy rice and salad, and you’re golden.

Their pide is equally amazing—crispy edges, soft center, and topped with melty cheese or savory meats. It’s the ultimate comfort food.

And please, whatever you do, save room for the künefe. This dessert is a masterpiece—warm, crispy, gooey cheese soaked in sweet syrup and topped with pistachios. It’s the kind of thing you close your eyes for after the first bite.

“Ever thought of trying a local small business, family restaurant. The guy who runs this place came from Turkiye in 2008. Settled down in SFO, had a family and is living an American dream.
His only complaint is SFO is expensive. Well we can all agree to that.
Food is very tasty.
We tried falafel wrap, chicken gyro and kids gyro with rice. All of these were of great quality. Plus the Turkish delight was fabulous. Owner shared Turkish tea on the house. Plus I ordered fries in kids meal but it came with rice instead. No worries he added fries and refused to take money for it. Well I made it up in the tip.
If you are south SFO and crave Mediterranean food. This is the place.“

“LITERALLY THE BEST WE’VE EVER HAD. The meat was perfect, and the Kanafah is a MUST. The platter can feed a family of eight. We had such a good time eating here, and will be coming back soon!

“Charming mom and Pop place with good prices. We couldn’t believe how big the wraps were and they were absolutely delicious. Like I was in SHOCK! First wrap I really liked since moving to SF.
We got the deluxe wraps, chicken and beef. Both were great. You can tell they take the time to do things right and they even make sure to grill the outside of the wraps. And we loved the french fries and eggplant inside of it! What a fun touch.“

“Little Joey Skidmark lives just a half block away from Big Baba in that little funky yellow house, so when he asked me for a ride home from pier 3 I said as long as you sit on your jacket and keep the window down, because I don't want a stained seat in my truck. So he got a ride home, and I got to enjoy the world famous grilled chicken sandwich from Big Baba Eats! I got it without the grilling, and it was Amazing! 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆“

“Had a quick lunch where we saw a line forming out front. The very personable man behind the counter helped answer some questions about their menu. I ended up with the lamb gyro in a wrap, spices and sauces popped. My significant other got the chicken shish kebab plate, a colorful arrangement of a mildly dressed salad complimented the spice on the perfectly cooked chicken. The hummus was very fresh. After compliments to the chef, the same man provided us with some Turkish Tea, so we listened to a violin busker outside of the Whole Foods and enjoyed the brisk early September air. 10/10“

The seasoning level is lighter than most other places selling gyros which in my opinion makes it taste more authentic and let's you get more of a wholesome outdoor grill vibe from the food. “We ordered the house combo and it was very tasty. It came with 4 meats(chicken,beef,gyro ,koftedes). All of the meat was juicy,tender and well seasoned. The rice. was fluffy ans delicious. The mixed green salad had tomatoes amd cucumber and was topped with a pickled cabbage and dressed to perfection. I only had a small bite of the pita because rhe meal was so filling. I can't wait to try the baklava we ordered. What a great find. I will definitely be going back to this restaurant.“

“Oh my goodness. Such a gem in the rough. Amazing food in the middle of an industrial area. I'm an old fat white guy, and the meal defeated me. For the first time in a long time, I needed a doggy bag. The Shawarma were delicious as were the pickled veggies and cole slaw. The Arabic coffee was to die for. So rich and thick!“

“We had Rompiballe Sandwich and The Milanese Sandwich. Our favorite one was The Milanese Sandwich even if both sandwiches were very tasty. It was very fresh and we liked the harmony of ingredients. Esra, my server took her time in explaining the hookah varieties and food selections. She also frequently checked up on me to make sure the vibe was ongoing. I was happy to leave such a glowing review. In an area of lacking late night activities this is a gem!!! I should probably gate keep this one, but they are well deserving!!!“

“The food and service were really good. They served a bug portion of pita bread with the yummiest tahini dip and a tomato dip along with brined olives and picked radish. We then ordered the chicken shawarma plate and fetta with meat. Both of them were very flavourful and tasty. Serving size was pretty big. They also had a great pistachio kunafa brownie!“

“Our party of four came on a Wednesday evening at 7:30pm. Neighborhood parking is a bit challenging due to the popularity of the area with all the businesses there, but we found a 2 hr. spot (enforced until 9pm) after a couple loops. We ordered the house sampler plate, shish kabob, beet salad, the zahara bil tahini (cauliflower), halloumi, chicken shawarma, and for dessert, we had kanafeh, qatayef, halawa o buza. Everything, including the complimentary Palestinian dips with pita chips, was absolutely delicious- fresh and beautifully presented. It was hard to pick a favorite but I really liked the cauliflower! Two members of my party ordered a mocktail called Cinderella, and they were raving about it. The food was so good that we forgot to take pictures; we were too excited. I did remember while we were waiting for dessert, so there is one dessert picture in this review.

Our server, Lina, was attentive and very kind, and the other servers and staff were also very nice, professional, and polite. It was obvious that the staff wanted us to have a wonderful evening and we truly did. It is a very welcoming restaurant with lovely decor, excellent food and nice people. “Great wine, food and atmosphere. One salad is more than enough for two people. We got the Retsina wine which was off the hook, soft, velvety and delicious. We got the soup which was reminiscent of Tom Kha in a way and also delicious. Greek fries and lamb salad were also made just right and the food was brought out so quickly.
