“A disclaimer, these reviews are always hard for me: because when I come here, I usually come with people who are familiar with the restaurant and employees. For context, I’m a Chinese woman with family connections and I can speak cantonese. It makes the experience easier and faster. I’m not so sure if I just spoke English, how great the service is. Besides that, the food here is awesome. Great selection, everything tastes awesome! You want authentic Dim Sum? You’ll get it here!“

“I went to the location on 73rd Ave and uggghhhhh im so happy I did!!! I got a steak and shrimp burrito and that yum yum sauce is DELICIOUS (a little watery but still delicious)!! If you wanna try something different with a lil Asian flare this is it!!! I can eat those veggies all day!!!

There was a huge diversity of options. Saw there was a Mochi fish tofu then ? it was very interesting. Got pretty much everything I wanted. There was even a sauce bar. Only complaint is that the soup base was slightly salty

“I finally got to try the dishes here and I am not disappointed.
I got the soup and it was just right amount of jalapeños for the spice. I lobe the simplistic it had, but it was still tasty ?
I also tried the island poke dish and it was very delicious as well.
I like how you have options for the rice or a salad base, or both.
Very flavorful and right amount of sauces.
I am looking forward to trying more dishes as time goes by.“

“Cute little restaurant. We ordered cucumber salad, bbq chicken set and bbq char siu set. Everything tastes so good. Very very high food quality. A lot of flavors. The spicy and numbing cucumber salad is the BEST I have had in the US. Not exaggerating.

It’s counter service and they have discounts for cash. Staff is very friendly. Great neighborhood restaurant for everyday eats. Would come back again when we are in Berkeley next time.“

“Came here with my partner; ordered the R&B Bibimbap and the fried wontons. Both were relatively OK! The bibimbap isn't spicy and didn't have a sauce (neither did the wontons), so don't expect that when ordering. The wontons were fresh and crunchy! Food was enough to share between two. It took a bit for us to be served, but the service itself was solid.“

“Cool place (love the decor/style), nice staff & tasty food. Some dishes you will not find in the average Thai restaurant in the Bay Area. For example, the chef or owner is from northern Thailand so the menu features a top Northern Thai dish - Kao Soi noodle soup (beef or chicken), or the all time fav 'street food' grilled pork skewers (moo ping) served with sticky rice (ck out the menu on their website). I had the Pad Kemao Chicken (menu says beef but they are happy to make dishes with what you like & even have Beyond Meat dishes on the menu - cool to see stir fried basil with Beyond Meat (Krapao Beyond Neur)). The taste of my wok fried pad kemao was delicious, same or better than any I've had on prior trips to Bangkok. Glad to have discovered a solid Thai restaurant that doesn't have watered down flavors. Good to see they have a lot of gluten free and vegan choices on the menu too. Definitely will be back, keep up the good work!“

“A special and unique space. Mahjong tables are GOING, the space is filled with unique touches and Asian snacks, the space has so many unique events that are inclusive for everyone. One of the workers helped me order drinks then came up to DJ afterward - dope.

Also the Filipino food pop up smacks - you may think you can only pork but you'll be pleasantly surprised - just don't go in thinking it's supposed to taste like what you know.“

“I got the smoothie, a side of steamed veggies and a tofu bowl and not only were all three clearly made with high quality, organic ingredients, but they were absolutely delicious. 10/10. But what impressed me even more than the food tonight was the thoughtfulness of the gentleman working. They closed at 11:30 pm (bless them for being the only vegan, organic food in the area open that late) and was cutting it close to get there before closing time. When I arrived 1 or 2 minutes after 11:30, I was worried that I had missed my opportunity and screwed up, but no - a thoughtful young man was literally standing in front of the restaurant with my order, waiting for me. He definitely didn’t have to do that - service is way above and beyond - 20/10! That wonderful young man saved me after I hadn’t eaten all day and couldn’t find anything vegan open late, I’m so grateful. <3

got the tomato beef cocktail (their signature & most popular), their crispy chicken wings (DELISHHH) and their spicy cucumbers all for about $40! which in oakland is a wonderful price especially since i had leftovers which i ate the next day.

i came solo with a book on a saturday around 5pm and it was such a lovely date to take myself on. nobody bothered me. music was vibey. lighting was sensual. 10/10 would recommend :)“

“This Quickly in Oakland chinatown is the closest one to me. I don't go there that often, but when I do, I buy some milk tea and snacks for me and my family. The owner is very nice. There are lots of drink options and snack options to choose from. I wish they were closer so I could go there more often.“

Stood at the register to order, woman behind the counter a foot away doing something on phone/in a notebook didn't so much as look up for a couple mins. Couple groups that came in after, same deal. “I absolutely love their garlic noodles! While its definitely heavy with the butter, its comforting, flavorful and delicious. Love the texture of the noodles and how its packed with tons of garlic. I enjoy the salt and pepper wings and the jambalaya fried rice. The crab fries are so delicious and have a nice hint of spice. I've been coming here for years and having their food always leaves me in a happy and satisfied mood.“

“We initially tried to come here on a Friday at 7 PM but there seemed to be a long wait so we decided to check it out on a Wednesday and we only had to wait about 10-15 minutes for a table. This location was originally a Taco Bell, but I love the atmosphere there, friendly, good service and comforting food! It's a cozy place perfect for a cold wintry day to have your own little boiling hot pot of tasty broth and hubby and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals! Hubby ordered the Lau Pork Bone Marrow and I had the Lau Oxtail. I ordered the Oxtail without the tripe, just more oxtail! The hot pot came out boiling with oxtail and beef balls. All I had to do was cook the egg noodles, taro, tofu, cabbage, veggies into the soup as there was plenty of delicious oxtail and meat balls in the delicious broth! Great for a bone chilling night! Next time I'd love to try the shaken beef!“

Service would really only show up when you placed a new order, and it was a little weird not to receive spoons or bowls (there is a separate self-serve counter for this and sauces) but besides that they were fine. Only rank atmosphere low due to a large amount of families with loud kids wandering the restaurant... cest la vie.“

If you only want chicken and noodles, no veggies, get the Tanya special. More expensive, but enough food for 2 meals for the average person. But try everything, it’s all amazing!“

“Love this spot, we’ve been going for years. All the renovations they have done really cleaned the place up.

Our favorite dishes jajangmyeon and the fried pork. Their noodles are so good!!! Big portions also. There’s no other place like it in the bay, would highly recommend.

“Very good first experience! Sashimi set for two was of excellent quality and variety, add-ons like amaebi took the dinner to another level. Rice accompanying the sashimi was regular medium grain rather than seasoned sushi rice, but a relatively small miss when the seafood is the star!“

We ended up here a couple years ago because the grand oaks was over capacity for a warriors playoff game and they put the game on and then got into it with us for a couple hours. I feel a little torn giving the food 4 stars not 5, but it is very good but not blow my socks off incredible. But the price to value here is generous and their food is very good. Garlic noodles and mushroom dumplings usually in the order.“

“Lamb was very tender and girthy, it was especially good raw. The lack of soda perplexed me, I gained over 25 pounds after eating here! Finally I way 440 pounds. The laterally thin rice dessert completely satisfied my cravings. The nice whitish liquid, that elicited a delicious reaction with my pink tongue, wowed my world. However in my recent visit my order for phoa has some basil leaves that have some insect bites in them and they were not welded out when served with my order. I complained to the server but he mere said sorry and not change the basil served to me. I hope they will be more careful in serving fresh veggies to customers.“
