“On our way to Napa Valley today, we ordered tuna kimchi, original, shrimp, egg bomb gimbap, a crab roll, and an avocado Issac-style toast, and they were all absolutely delicious! You could really taste the freshness of the ingredients, and everything was perfectly balanced. Honestly, it was better than most gimbap places back in Korea.

The two staff members at the shop were incredibly kind—they made sure to pack enough chopsticks and tissues, and they even thoughtfully gave us a banana milk and some drinks for our child. We were so grateful!“

“I got the smoothie, a side of steamed veggies and a tofu bowl and not only were all three clearly made with high quality, organic ingredients, but they were absolutely delicious. 10/10. But what impressed me even more than the food tonight was the thoughtfulness of the gentleman working. They closed at 11:30 pm (bless them for being the only vegan, organic food in the area open that late) and was cutting it close to get there before closing time. When I arrived 1 or 2 minutes after 11:30, I was worried that I had missed my opportunity and screwed up, but no - a thoughtful young man was literally standing in front of the restaurant with my order, waiting for me. He definitely didn’t have to do that - service is way above and beyond - 20/10! That wonderful young man saved me after I hadn’t eaten all day and couldn’t find anything vegan open late, I’m so grateful. <3

Scoops were nice and healthy...lol, didn't feel like we paid an arm and a leg for ice-cream which is typical these days! “The decor was festive and abundant in the best way possible, and the cocktails looked unique and curiosity-piquing. I narrowed my choices down to a Cafe Sua Daddy and the Soy Sauce Old Fashioned.

I love a savory drink and the sweet caffeinated espresso martini-esque drink had a thick blanket of just-salty-enough foam reminiscent of the salt cream that tops a boba drink. The Soy Sauce Old Fashioned catapulted me back to my childhood, eating slabs of tofu drenched in shoyu at my grandma's house. I loved the custom soy bottle presentation, it was just strong enough to tolerate being poured over a large rock while maintaining its flavor.

My partner had the Umami Tots and Mapo Tofu. I couldn't resist the siren song of some crispy potatoes dunked in chili oil cream, but managed to hold myself back on the tofu- even though it smelled amazing.

Can't wait to return and try the new seasonal drinks, along with more snacks.“

“Food was great. Finding the place was the first task. It's a non-descript building. You walk in and you can order on terminals from multiple restaurants. You wait about ten minutes and your good appears. It's weird, but a good weird. I took the food home and the chicken bowl was quite delicious. I think I'm going to try this for takeout the next time and bring food home to my wife. It is right around the corner from Mujiri.“

“Not the absolute best boba place but certainly the most bang for your buck if you want to order snacks and a tea. My orders are always ready pretty fast and anything fried is made to order and very fresh. Also, I've never had any mistakes with my orders, and I've been to this location over ten times. I especially like the tiger milk tea and the oolong milk tea.“

“If you crave a Hong Kong style restaurant, then come here. Food is great. Have the Hainese chicken, green beans with eggplant, and Japanese tofu dish. They are delicious. “We initially tried to come here on a Friday at 7 PM but there seemed to be a long wait so we decided to check it out on a Wednesday and we only had to wait about 10-15 minutes for a table. This location was originally a Taco Bell, but I love the atmosphere there, friendly, good service and comforting food! It's a cozy place perfect for a cold wintry day to have your own little boiling hot pot of tasty broth and hubby and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals! Hubby ordered the Lau Pork Bone Marrow and I had the Lau Oxtail. I ordered the Oxtail without the tripe, just more oxtail! The hot pot came out boiling with oxtail and beef balls. All I had to do was cook the egg noodles, taro, tofu, cabbage, veggies into the soup as there was plenty of delicious oxtail and meat balls in the delicious broth! Great for a bone chilling night! Next time I'd love to try the shaken beef!“

“Such a special gem of a place! Perfect for group dinners too (make reservations!)- we celebrated the lunar new year with a vegan Chinese new year dinner here in their cozy dining room with such good vibes, and unique authentic dishes like lotus root and lychee in the sweet & sour seitan dish 🤯

It’s big enough to have a large group table (we had 12) and quiet enough to feel like you’re all celebrating together. This is very hard to find in the bay!

“We just went for our 3rd visit over the weekend, and they have hit the mark for me every time.

Our first visit back in December had a bit of a wait as there were many big parties, but it honestly wasn't bad/long. Other visits have had no waiting times.

Order at the counter or on your phone from QR codes on your table - there's a big menu on one wall and typical menu sized copies at the counter. The staff is overall great - there's a particular young man who treats us so well and gets us whatever we need every time.

The music can definitely be on the louder end and varies, but it completely adds to the experience! I love that I feel like I can let a wall down, do my little happy dances in my seat, and enjoy their delicious food and drinks.

We absolutely love: the garlic noodles, the chicken wings (with General Tsos sauce) are out of this world, the Monkey King fried rice, and we just tried their calamari which was delish!

“Ever since the Marugame Alameda location opened, it’s been a main staple for my routine! The staff are kind and attentive, and the food is delicious. Compared to other locations, I’d say the Alameda location is among the better ones I have visited over the years. Even though the location is fairly new, opening this past year, it’s helped heightened my expectations of Marugame locations. I highly recommend coming here and ordering the Gyudon!“

“Lamb was very tender and girthy, it was especially good raw. The lack of soda perplexed me, I gained over 25 pounds after eating here! Finally I way 440 pounds. The laterally thin rice dessert completely satisfied my cravings. The nice whitish liquid, that elicited a delicious reaction with my pink tongue, wowed my world. “Stopped by for some vegan dinner. We had the vegan momo, tofu noodle soup and tofu curry. Food was good, the front desk guy was super friendly and helpful when we ordered. It is a take away place, but they have some tables if you want to eat there (we sat down for dinner)..

“We had dim sum here. We ordered the regular items, har gau, siu mai, black bean ribs, beef rice roll, beef tripe, snow baked taro buns and a dish of beef chow fun. All the dim sum were very good and tasty. Har gau (shrimp dumpling) skin could be better as it broke apart as I picked it up. The tripe was crispy. The rice roll was steamy hot and soft and whole (not falling apart). Chow fun was seasoned just right, lots of wok chi, and not greasy.

Service is inattentive. You really need to wave people down to get chili oil, extra chopsticks, extra hot water. Waitress serving rice roll walks away without pouring on soy sauce. We were 4 people and staff tried to seat us at a 8 person table even though there were lots of 4 person tables around. I said we cannot converse that easily on such a big table but she still insisted on the big table. She only relented after we were adamantly against it.

Restaurant was thundering with conversation. We got in about 11 AM on Monday. By 12, the restaurant was 2/3 filled and I had problem hearing what my friend (across from me) was saying.“

“My long time place for delicious chinese food. The dumplings are good: try the lamb with zuccini and chicken with spinich for a real treat. The dim sum is the best in the Hayward area. Oustanding dishes are: cucumber with garlic and fungus, salt and pepper chicken wings, tender vegetables with filet fish, string beans with chicken, Egg Foo Young (unbeliably great), walnut prawns, won ton soup, knife cut chow mein with mixed meat and shrimp. All portions are large and properly packaged. I only do delivery orders with BEYOND MENU who favors local businesses so I have no rating for servive or atmosphere. This place is a find!“
