“Okay wow. My kids love this spot and I never tried it bc I thought it was just whatever but I finally ordered a single tender for myself to see what the hype was all about and it was so good!!! I got mild which is just a tiny kick but not where you need to find water and it was so good! Amazingly crispy even after waiting after I had driven home to eat it and the pickles and super soft slice of bread was the perfect complement. The batter is very tasty with a hint of sweet and the chicken itself felt like great quality and wasn’t dry. Okay I get it now! Will order myself some food the next time the kids ask for this!“

“This spot is a food truck completely covered in graffiti and permanently stationed inside the parking lot of a convenience store. You’ll need a keen eye to find them, but the Hotboys name and logo are on that truck. I had to do a second take to be sure I was in the right place. Also, other folks walking past the food truck was my only clue that there’s a nook with more tables nearby.

I could swear that the chicken tender meal has more chicken than the sandwich, and those were THICK tenders, let me tell you. Each one had to weigh at least 4 ounces. You can’t see it, but the tenders come with a piece of Texas-toast-style white bread and pickles on the side.

I decided to give my tear ducts a break and went for Medium this time. I teared up once . . . but I swear it was the sun. LOL. For me, including toast is extraneous, as I ordered a chicken tender combo specifically to avoid bread. But a plain slice of white bread is a very southern touch, so I can’t hand out a demerit for my personal preference. I just didn’t eat it.

The crinkle-cut fries come tossed in an addicting and light Cajun seasoning. They’re served with the same money dipping sauce that comes on top of the sandwich. I liked it more for dipping than poured on the sandwich.“

“This might be a gas station but the way they inject the chicken with seasoning makes a wonderful flavor and not to spicy like popeye's is. They have large boxes of chicken for your family to have leftovers, and your going to want them tomorrow. Deals on 25 pcs or more. Easy to fill up and get dinner at one stop!!“

“It is a hidden gem in the gas station, the fried chicken is always fresh and hot (and they are Halal certified), and the uncle at the register is very friendly.

What surprised me more is their Sides.
While the seasoning of their chicken sometimes runs a little too salty, the sides just balance it out perfectly.
- The Blueberry Biscuit has the perfect amount of sweetness, it's my “must have” if it isn’t sold out yet.
- Mashed potatoes with gravy is creamy while not being runny.
- Usually I am not a big fan of beans, but their Red Beans & Rice actually taste good.“

“I really like the food at Popeyes; I travel a long way to come to this restaurant because my food is always fresh. The young woman who works in the mornings is always very cheerful and friendly toward me (I’ve been coming here since she first started as a cashier—I remember it well—and from what I’ve seen, she is now a manager). Got 8 pieces chicken 2 times with different sides n both times chicken was tender inside and crunchy from outside. Flavor n spices are so good and balanced. The worker cooked my food and was on the phone the whole time, my food took 30 mins and someone who walked in to order after me was served before me. “This place is primarily a gas station and car wash. The chicken is better than McDonalds' chicken nuggets but it is a sideline here. The store that is a part of the gas station is the best and most well stocked of any similar store that is a part of a gas station operation. And the service is superb.“
