“Amboy is by far the best burger place I been in LA. I got their signature dry aged burger with fries. I found this place from a food guide website saying Amboy was ranked one of the top 5 burger place in LA. I truly agree with that.

When I went, they let me spin a wheel to get a promotion; you can get 10% off, 15% off, free fries, extra napkins, etc. I got super lucky it landed on a 50% off. I am not sure if they do this regularly or if that was during a special season.

However, I highly recommend everyone to come to Amboy for once. Get their signature dry aged burger. It is not a cheap burger, but it is definitely worth it.“

“Been wanting to try this place out being a burger afficianado and reading the reviews. It did not disappoint. I dont usually like to give to hipster spots in now gentrified areas they've invaded with attitudes they bring but, this place is a rule to that exception this time & their food is amazing here.
I went with the Goldburger (add+ Pastrami), Fries & Craft Soda (Ginger Ale).
Perfectly Juicy Burger without creating a soggy fall apart bun, which held its texture consistently thoughout and the juices did not overpower the flavorful meat, cheese & pastrami. The bun had a very nice clean taste and texture, a job well done they do here.
Restaurant, Tables, Floors, Sidewalk, Unisex Restroom very clean and didn't have any lame Pronoun Verbiage. Kitchen looked very clean.
Friendly, Helpful Staff want to please their guests. None seem lazy and they keep themselves busy with work.

“We love JB Burgers. Why? For one, the food is great. I get a steak sandwich all the time. No mayo, due to a diet constraint. Sometimes I'll get a bowl of chili ... or if I'm in the mood, I'll get a stack of french toast with my steak sandwich. Yes, that's a lot of food!

Steak sandwich - The french roll is good. The steak is a nice piece of meat and it has great flavor. They put tomatoes and lettuce. The tomatoes are good. The lettuce adds a crisp crunch, but there's a lot of white lettuce. The steak sandwich is a must!

My better half gets a guacamole burger. Tasty and the guac adds some healthiness AND the creamy texture replaces mayo, 1000 Island or any other sauce that's not healthy.

The chili is good! When it's chilly or on a rainy day, it's good comfort food!

French Toast - this is good stuff. They give you a lot and it's made well. Taste is really good and they use a thicker bread - yummm!

Now to the wonderful staff! 95% of the time we've had good to exceptional service. I order inside the restaurant - makes sense since we're eating inside. One time, this gal told me I could not order inside and she made me go outside to order. I told her I order inside all the time, but she didn't want to listen. I almost left, but I saw the familiar faces there, so I ordered outside. The next time I saw her there, she let me order inside.

I try to get to JB's at least once a week. They're my go to!

On to the food - Gourmet Carribean is a must try! the oxtails, jerk chicken, curry chicken, chick peas and the Friday special, Jerk Salmon. Everything I've tried is delicious. There is a lot of indoor seating as well as a drive-thru. The drive-thru takes a bit long because they prepare the food fresh - though it's a lot faster than other made-to-order fast food places with a drive-thru. I definitely recommend only using the drive-thru if you have the time to spare.

“It's right next to the movie theater. You have to park in the theater parking structure and walk over. This place was ok. Pretty expensive for a burger fries and a beer. Cost me $35. Parking: Always busy but never disappointed with our food. Best to call in your orders ahead so they are ready by the time you get to intercom. Just tell them your name and your picking up your orders. Love the fried Zucchini and fries too.
