“Came in for the first time and ordered two sandwiches. One, the Pastrami, the other roast beef, both with cheddar and everything on it. The habanero sauce is fire. The ravioli plates. All looked amazing. I gotta go back for some of that action. This might be my new favorite spot.“

This isn’t a place for flashy plating—it’s all about honest, delicious Italian cooking made with care. The host greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel instantly at home. “A little charming restaurant in downtown San Mateo, homemade bread with delicious dipping sauce. We had fried calamari and squid ink pasta (hand made in the shop) with prawns and mussels exceeding our expectations, definitely will visit again to try other dishes.“

I tried the catzo sandwich, and it was fantastic, perfectly balanced and absolutely delicious. On top of the food, Filippo makes you feel like family, welcoming you with warmth and genuine hospitality.

“We had never ordered from here but took a chance tonight. My husband had the Penne with Alfredo sauce, and I had the baked Penne with Marinara sauce. They were both amazingly delicious! The portions could have been a bit larger, but we weren't left hungry! We will order from here again! I can't rate the atmosphere since we ordered out.“
